Shopping that way looks hard, can’t I just buy some cheap jeans that fit and leave? (I swear, I once went to a jeans store… seriously? a whole f**king store devoted to jeans? They had jeans categorized by size, length, overall shape, and even ass shape… I left after about 5 minutes because it was too complicated.)
Wait, we’re not supposed to like or be good at video games? D: What did I ever do to deserve this??
Oh, I love jeans stores. I can walk in and say for example ‘hi I want dark blue flared jeans with medium waist height without bleach stains in 28/30 for curvy figure’ and the girl in the shop says ‘oh okay you want these’ and she’s right.
What? Like going directly to where you are suppose to go means you don’t like to play a video game? I’m a girl and I liked this because I get in and go out so that way I can fight more dragons and giants compared to my boyfriend who has to loot everything in the cave from ingots to salt.
I think it’s safe to assume that subterminal is either male or female… If the graph maker wasn’t thinking of real women, like subterminal, Lianne, and many more when s/he made this graph, then what’s the point of it?
I thought it was supposed to mean that women were better, because they can get straight to the objective without getting sidetracked, but that’s just my optimistic side showing. Perhaps the person who created this…
I don’t take forever in games, but I’m very thorough– and I hate shopping for three hours and would rather get the s**t I came for and leave.
However, with games, it’s not gender-related– it’s all experience-based.
The wiser, ‘better’ gamers obviously look in every nook in cranny for the loot, the newer players just running through it. (speedruns exempt)
However, there’s a certain point in familiarity with a game that you just skip the things with minimal chance to give you good loot and only farm the “big chest” or the boss, over and over, rushing through as fast as possible.
However, there’s also the games that you can’t farm, and have to just grab everything– so you do. EVERY. SINGLE. GOLD. COIN. EVER.
Objection! My boyfriend is a “get to the point” gamer and I’M an explorer. Seriously, I will know every nook and cranny of every game I ever play eventually.
Also, while I can’t object to the shopping one, I’d also like to point out that men only go to 1-3 stores in a mall because the average mall only has 1-3 stores with men’s sections. And the rest an exclusively ladies stores… we just have more option, so, why not take it?
Well, if there was a larger range of choices in clothing for men, maybe they would spend more time shopping. The main reason that buying clothes is so annoying to me is the fact that the men’s department usually only covers 10% of the store, offers 10 different types of clothing instead of 100 for girls, and most of them don’t even fit me. So I usually skip the 90% of the stores in which you can see the entire men’s section by standing in one corner and shop at the 2 or 3 stores that actually carry men’s clothes. One of them happens to be GAP.
I’d like to see a comparison of clothing spendings in western countries vs. Japan though.
And the women have their own set of frustrations when it comes to shopping for pants.
I always thought maybe part of the reason for the womens’ pants sections being so much larger is the fact that pant sizes and styles for women are not standardized at all. They might claim to be, but they’re not. Men’s pants, on the other hand, are fairly straight-forward, with some variation according to brand. If you’re a guy with an inseam of 40 inches and a waist of 33 (or whatever), you can be fairly certain that if you bought a pair of random pants with those specs it would fit.
Now try being a women’s size 4. You end up a size 2 in one store (or even individual style/color), a size 8 in another, possibly even a size 14/16 if you’re short enough to qualify for “big girls” sizes rather than “juniors” or “misses.” I’m usually around the size 4-6 range and I’ve found stores that put me as a SIZE 10-12 and STILL don’t fit right! And it’s not just length and waistline either; is it too tight/big in the hips/thighs/calves, do the pockets lay flat, is the rise too low/too high, etc. Heaven help you if you’re like me and don’t fit any “standard” body type (5′ even, 120 lbs, big hips/ass is not a happy combo for clothes shopping).
Guys seriously don’t get how lucky they are sometimes.
I’m a size 31 length (5’10″), and guess what, most stores only carry even numbered lengths. So I’m either stuck buying online or having to adjust them myself, which is a pain. And I cannot recall any pair of suit pants ever fitting me, but that’s what tailors are for I guess.
On top of that, I have a rather “female” shape, my hips are noticeably wider than my midsection, which again makes it REALLY hard to find clothes that fit me perfectly. And if every store only carries one or two styles for men, it gets frustrating rather quickly.
I guess shopping is annoying for both males and females…
I know this is totally late and super outdated at this point-
But I’m one of the unfortunate females with straight-as-an-arrow-to-the-knee hips.
Unless I get at-the-waist jeans (those awkward 80′s style mom pants) I constantly have my jeans sliding down just from moving around- no matter how tight they are, or if I wear a belt… cause my hips are just too narrow to keep them up. :/
This is actually the opposite of me… I am not a big fan of shopping and really hate going shopping with girl friends who go to every stores. but I EXPLORE ALL THE CAVES, CHECK ALL THE URNS, STEAL ALL THE THINGS and of course later have to DEAL WITH ALL THE THUGS.
My OCD would never allow me to leave a cave not fully explored. And I horde just about everything, even if I’ll never use it. Just put it in a chest in your house and let it rot for the rest of the game. Exploration is my favorite part of Elder Scrolls games, besides the hilarious glitches.
And my social anxiety would never allow me to stay in a store longer than necessary, even if I actually enjoyed the act of shopping itself. I go into a store for essentials only, and the most time I spend in there is 15 minutes. I don’t shop anywhere else save the internet.
So I guess I’m a dude, according to this image? Damn, I knew there was a good reason I don’t understand other women!
Bah. I’m a girl who loves exploring every nook and cranny of caves in Skyrim, but I really don’t like shopping unless it’s for video games or music. Clothes shopping is the worst. ._.
I think it’s kind of funny how many girls are posting “actually . . .” with how much they like video games and don’t like shopping. Quite honestly, I think you are in the minority here. Most females I know (and I do know a few, being female myself) don’t like video games at all but will go shopping 7 days a week just for the fun of it. On my facebook page, most of my female friends are the ones talking about shopping and deals and my male friends talking about Skyrim. Personally, I don’t like either one. I just thought I would comment on how there are so many girls posting that they are “more like guys.” I think it’s funny.
Ya, I said this waaay below, but it ain’t about being male or female, nor is it about being a non steriotypical male or female. It’s about personal prefrence.
I’m a girl, and I don’t like crowds so I don’t look around a lot when shopping (unless I’m forced). And when I get Skyrim for Christmas I’mma explore the s**t outta it purly cause I don’t want to miss any items haha… It think it really depends on you rather then your gender.
OMG THAT IS SO NOT ME, ACTUALLY I AM THE OTHER WAY AROUND. I LIKE SHOPPING AND I HATE SHOPPING AND I LIKE VIDEO GAMES AND I HATE VIDEO GAMES. BLAH UGH GO LIKE MY PICTURES LOLOLZ :3
I like shopping and playing video games. I’m also a software engineer and recently discovered I like conventions. None of my friends have the same career, few play video games and if they do it’s like Mario and Zelda only. I love Skyrim. I do explore the dungeons, do a quick run through in all rooms to check for good loot as there is always time for loot. My husband and I have 2 copies so we can play at the same time so we don’t ruin it for the other.
Needs to show Loot, with the figures reversed from the cost one
Right, because women love to shop and suck at video games. Ha ha… how original. *rolls eyes* This site is getting pathetic.
Whoa, you showed them!
Shopping that way looks hard, can’t I just buy some cheap jeans that fit and leave? (I swear, I once went to a jeans store… seriously? a whole f**king store devoted to jeans? Sounds about as uncomplicated as asking your dog to do your pre-calculus homework
What? Like going directly to where you are suppose to go means you don’t like to play a video game? I’m a girl and I liked this because I get in and go out so that way I can fight more dragons and giants compared to my boyfriend who has to loot everything in the cave from ingots to salt.
THANK. YOU.
I HATE shopping. Go get what you need, then LEAVE! (or go to gamestop, then leave)
Too funny Lianne! LOL!
I don’t suck at video games. I just don’t like to linger in caves. I’d rather complete my objective and head back outside to hang out with some NPCs.
I agree. I love video games AND I love to shop. Why does everyone assume I love one and hate the other?
Why do you assume anyone was thinking about you when they made/saw this?
I think it’s safe to assume that subterminal is either male or female… If the graph maker wasn’t thinking of real women, like subterminal, Lianne, and many more when s/he made this graph, then what’s the point of it?
Lianne is getting pathetic.

*Sunglasses*
Lived in one of those caves.
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
Huh. Didn’t expect to see this here, as it was on our English textbook.
Meh.. this is not true. I explore dungeons and caves fully, every single chest/urn, ect gets checked.
Me too. I take forever and my boyfriend takes like 3 minutes. So this s**t’s obviously backwards. Jerks.
I don’t take forever in games, but I’m very thorough– and I hate shopping for three hours and would rather get the s**t I came for and leave.

Ah yes, r/Skyrim.
This ain’t reddit. Move Along.
If it takes you that long to explore everything in a cave, you are either extremely thorough, extremely inefficient, or in the biggest cave ever.
The first one.
Objection! My boyfriend is a “get to the point” gamer and I’M an explorer. Seriously, I will know every nook and cranny of every game I ever play eventually.

If you are indeed a woman, he is one of the luckiest guy there is.
Don’t be ignorant, there are way more competent gamer ladies then you males give us credit for.
Don’t be stupid, there are no women on the Internet.
I think that all people who say that are secretly women and are actually just trolling.
I know we do that in our community, which is primarily female. It’s a joke at this point.
I LOVE
Jimmy Page
I dunno, you can get wifi in the kitchen
*than
Are they also unaware of the difference between “then” and “than?”
Bulls**t. No one’s going to get pants for $33 at the Gap.
You win the internet for being the only one not complaining about sexism. And for being funny. I lol’d.
If we’re talking about my sister, she wouldn’t even go in the cave. She is a complete failure at exploring.
Whoops, apparently I’m male? My SO will be disappointed. -_-
Lol, me too. And apparently, my brother is a girl. Which means there’s something really weird going on with my nephew…
I’m a girl and have never played Skyrim, but I’d be on the men’s side for both of these.
What kind of girl is constantly crossing the aisle at the mall? You only shop the stores on the side you’re on, you get the others on the way back.
Men:
Gold Found = (50)
Women:
Gold Found = (500)
If someone told me they spent $876 on pants, I would probably have to end their life.
Guys seriously don’t get how lucky they are sometimes.
Tailoring is a useful skill.
Wouldn’t that be just as difficult as going through the trouble to find the right size clothing?
yeah, but you can’t level up tailoring in Skyrim.
Well played.
I’m a size 31 length (5’10″), and guess what, most stores only carry even numbered lengths. So I’m either stuck buying online or having to adjust them myself, which is a pain. And I cannot recall any pair of suit pants ever fitting me, but that’s what tailors are for I guess.

When the girl is stereotypically materialistic, the first picture is an understatement.
Bah, you buy pants at costco in a 10 pack, beef jerky in giant case and back to skyrim. Why would any man go to the gap?
To rendezvous with their wife?
Well, the same man taking time to look nice is the same man getting laid/ a blow job on a daily basis, so…. you know, that might be a good reason.
That option takes away too much time that could be used exploring!
Are you kidding? EXPLORE ALL THE ROOMS!
I just buy clothes from the discount sections at Kohls. Or, buy Apt. 9 (also at Kohls).

TIME THE **** OUT. since when did men start shopping at gap? i would walk straight into sears and buy good s**t.
so Men are better. Same time, less cost.
Well, being a female, it takes me 10 minutes to buy something, then takes the majority of my day exploring caves in Skyrim.
This is me with Minecraft. Must… light… up… every… square… inch…
What’s this? Another branch? I NEED A NEW STACK!
Guys shop at the gap?
Bah. I’m a girl who loves exploring every nook and cranny of caves in Skyrim, but I really don’t like shopping unless it’s for video games or music. Clothes shopping is the worst. ._.
Actually, I’m a girl who has put more hours into Skyrim than I ever have at any mall. I hate shopping….unless it’s at Gamestop. That’s okay.

“What do you mean, I don’t need to loot this wardrobe?”
Sexist graph is sexist (and obviously made by 17-yo basement dweller).
Or Tom Bissell, kazzzziinngaaaaaa!
I’m the red path when I got no money I could spend, the blue one when I actually got it (both, RL-shopping AND games)
Female here who hates shopping and always makes sure every inch of a video game has been checked thoroughly.
OBJECTION! No man would dare go to the GAP, that would be like a goth going into Abercrombie and Fitch.
Old Navy and Kohls. Best places to get pants if you’re a dude.
You mispelled Levis outlet stores.
I’m a girl, and I don’t like crowds so I don’t look around a lot when shopping (unless I’m forced). And when I get Skyrim for Christmas I’mma explore the s**t outta it purly cause I don’t want to miss any items haha… It think it really depends on you rather then your gender.
I’m a girl, and from the sound of this chart I’ve suddenly had a sex change…
I don’t even shop, heh.
W00T FOR THE MINORITY GAMER CHICKS.
I still don’t know what Skyrim is…
FAIL. I’m the reverse thanks. I hate shopping unless it’s for sharp objects, games or merch. FAIL.
i go to walmart and buy $10 wrangler jeans. I never go to malls in fear of a nerve gas attack on the a/c and everything is marked up.
OMG THAT IS SO NOT ME, ACTUALLY I AM THE OTHER WAY AROUND. I LIKE SHOPPING AND I HATE SHOPPING AND I LIKE VIDEO GAMES AND I HATE VIDEO GAMES. BLAH UGH GO LIKE MY PICTURES LOLOLZ :3
obvious troll is obvious
people shop at the gap?
Men go to the mall for pants?
There are two stores in the mall the woman didn’t go into?!
There are TWO chambers in the cave the man didn’t explore?!!?!?!?!?!
IMPOSSIBLE! Do your research next time!
three*

Pah. I’m a girl and love shopping AND Skyrim cave exploring. Sorry to blow your mind.
What if I do both? Am I a hermaphrodite?
seen averagely, the first picture is correct. the second one i’m not so sure about.
Gender generalizations are just plain stupid.
The awkward moment where you realize you’re the textbook example of a stereotypical man…
…
And you’re female.
I used to shop for hours, but then I took an arrow in the knee.
Also, all the girls posting on this are girls that visit memebase. In all honestly, that doesn’t seem indicative of the general population.
Psh I’m a girl and I’ll out-explore a guy in Skyrim any day!
This is talking about “most girls” in general. MOST girls don’t go on memebase. The ones that do are the lucky few.
