both ice ice baby (collaborate and listen) and u can’t touch this (hammertime) are released in 1990, so why the distinction between early and late 90s?
can’t stop……..as in the red hot chili peppers song?
Yes.
Hammertime was definitely not a late 90s song.
“U Can’t Touch This” was released on January 13, 1990. That’s about as early as you can be in the 90s.
For reference, “Ice Ice Baby” was released sometime in August 1990, eight months after “U Can’t Touch This.”
Sigh.
And is a blatant, shameless theft from Queen and David Bowie.
Well done for pointing this out, Austin. You beat me to it. I, sadly, recall buying both albums (on cassette, no less) on the same day, the day Vanilla Ice’s album dropped. I am both amused and ashamed.
The stop song of the weeks!
should have just stopped evolving music in the ’80s
The late 90′s for MC Hammer? How old is the moron who made this?
Give him a break. He can’t even draw straight lines with MS Paint. How can you expect him to get anything else right?
Um, “Don’t Stop Til You Get Enough” was early 80′s.
Jackson’s album “Off the Wall” featuring that song came out in summer 1979, so it’s technically correct but it should be under Late 70′s
1990 =/= late 90′s
Someone did this graph before, but better and with better songs. Three of them were the same as this one. -1 Internets for unoriginality.
I was expecting to see a “stop” by the spice girls in there for the 90s…
Me too! That actually was the first song I thought of. Though I’m not sure how you’d show that on the graph. Blank space?
That’s exactly what I was thinking.
STOP right now, thank you very much…
I need somebody with a human touch…
Aw crap, now it’s playing in my head.
Off to look up Sam Brown on Youtube…
me too!
I WANT THE WORLD TO STOP
Don’t stop me now.
Win!
im thinking 2010s: “Don’t … believing” again.
*ahem*
STOP
Take some time to think
Figure out what’s important to ya
What about the Spice Girls? “Stop right now, thank you very much, I need somebody with a human touch”…
