  1. obeeah says:

    its already a t-shirt

  2. The Roly-Poly Bird says:

    Good, if it’s a teeshirt, I want it :D
I went to see a university the other day, it had a Tardis in the entrance hall. How cool is that?

  3. NCA says:

Star Trek could possibly go in the centre as well…. “We are the Borg. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Resistance is futile”

  4. JediUrsa says:

Plus the title is a Fail. Picard was quite fond of tea (Earl Grey, Hot) if i recall correctly.

  5. zappafrank says:

When stuff gets over-pushed and over-hyped, it makes me want to stay far far away. So many of the ICHC sites aren’t doing Dr. Who any favors with respect to that.

And every time I hear “Tardis,” only “tard” sticks out.

    • Pabstlover213 says:

You’re right, man! We have to stand up to those over-hyping non-conformists! Let’s ride our vintage bicycles over to their place of buisness and protest! I’ll bring some Pabst in case we get thirsty. Oh, and you might need to wear more than just an ironic t-shirt, since it might get cold.

      • zappafrank says:

Um, no. I’m not into Dr. Who, and it’s being pushed every time I turn around, and it’s annoying. Pretty simply, actually.

        • Alun says:

Fair enough, Mr Zappa. But I would ask you to watch one – any you choose really – so you can make your own mind about it rather than being influenced by fans.

          • Xephyr says:

I think “Blink” or “Silence in the Library” would be excellent episodes for a newbie?
Or even the other Weeping Angels episode, with the Eleventh Doctor.
You know, nice, calm, fricking creepy episodes.

            • Xephyr says:

Ooh, or “The Empty Child” & “The Doctor Dances”. Plus, I forgot “Forests of the Dead”. D:

            • yeah says:

Silence in the library has River. A bit too complicated for a first timer maybe… even though it’s my favorite episode EVER… and I mean of any tv show, not just DW. And Blink barely has any Doctor. Empty child=good idea, but my vote for best first episode is Girl in the Fireplace. That’s how we got my friend, who initially scorned the show, to repeal his initial declaration. And it’s a stand-alone episode. No major story-arc to complicate things and no cliff-hanger ending.

              • Doctor Who FTW says:

But I like cliff hangers! They keep ya guessing! ;D

                • ducttapemom says:

New Earth would be good for newbies.

                  • Perseus says:

My first episode was The Unicorn and The Wasp. (If you don’t count the very ending of The Doctor’s Daughter — wouldn’t suggest that one to a newbie, though.)

                    • Xephyr says:

Well, my friend convinced me to watch ‘Silence in the Library’ as my first episode. I was nine. I couldn’t sleep for ages, because the Vashta Nerada would get me!

                      • ace.saxon says:

You were nine and couldn’t sleep? I was -fourteen-. Mind you, Blink, Time of Angels and Flesh and Stone terrified me even more.

                        • TaraSeanan says:

Blink is by far my favorite, but my first was The Shakespeare Code. Lots of pop-culture references for the literary nerd. :)

              • Julianna says:

I’m pretty sure that Silence in the Library was the very first episode with River. And the first time the Doctor met her, since their timeline is running opposite eachother.

  6. qender says:

Star Trek has tons of killer robots! Especially the original series.

  7. eLy says:

Star Trek’s Borgs are an emanation of Vogons from the Hitchhicker’s guide to the Galaxy…

  8. Evertide says:

You call those aborted R2D2s “killer” robots?

  9. PRL says:

This makes me very happy :)

  10. Host says:

    Information; Kill!

  11. sam says:

umm… stargate has all of these things. just sayin’.

    • NNG. says:

Time Travel came very late in the show. I think it wasn’t even in the projects until they’ve got no more than to do that and King Arthur legends. For all of the remaining, I agree.

  12. Nina says:

    why is this un-faveable??

  13. Captain Pipcard says:

    loves both Trek and Who

  14. Alun says:

Don’t forget the Raston Warrior robot! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmVuIWffmM4

  15. yeah says:

    Marry me, Doctor.

  16. ducttapemom says:

Doctor Who, Star Trek, Stargate, yes. But I never cared for Battlestar Galactica.

  17. Hagstromman713 says:

But where is Bill and Ted? :(

  18. Paul says:

I’d say … the middle would be FUTURAMA :-)

  19. Caroline says:

Nerd debate WOOT WOOT! fight fight fight!

  20. Caiden says:

How can you say Dr. Who is the only show with tea time?! How could you forget “Tea. Earl Grey. Hot.” ?!?!
