No that’s not what I think at all
*tut* Very scary gas-mask zombie army created by Stephen Moffat, walked around in the London Blitz calling ‘are you my mummy?’, led by a five-year old boy. Touch them and you turn into one, after a few hours of painful transformation.
If you’d seen it, that’s what you’d think of.
Chris was my favourite doctor, until Matt :3
urgh. I dont like matt, David Tennant FTW!!!!
You do realize David Tennant wasn’t the doctor in that episode, right? I mean, I love Tennant, but still, it wasn’t him.
WOOOHOO!! GO TEN!!!!
It’s certainly the first thing I think of… that episode scared me so much.
That one, and those damned Weeping Angels….
BLINK! that episode made my eyes water a lot.
I see what you did there. I get freaked out when I pass by graveyards and I see angel statues.
I can’t decide if it was the library or the clockwork men that was the scariest episode. *shudder*
I’m surprised no one has mentioned Midnight as the scariest episode…that one creeped me the f**k out.
God those things freak me out! I can’t look a a stone angel without looking half a dozen more times to see if it’s moved.
Lol my brother had nightmares for 2 months after seeing that and kept checking every single statue.
2 months? I was ten and saw part 1 of Silence in the Library, (too scared to watch part 2) and to this day, over three years later, I am freaked out by any moving shadows. I also only saw part 1 of Blink, ‘scared beyond the capacity for rational thought.’
What about the Impossible Planet? Don’t turn around…
Agreed. That episode was pretty damn frightening.
Yes! I made the mistake of watching the first half in the middle of the night while my boyfriend wasn’t home. Couldn’t sleep the entire night!
For some reason, this episode didn’t scare me. Just this once, everybody lives! On the other hand, the Weeping Angels were terrifying, though not a terrible way to die. The library one was a much more frightening concept, but the visuals in the angels and gas mask episodes are far more striking.
I think Pyro! Hmph!
I think Psycho Mantis.
oh, crap. don’t read my memory card, don’t read my memory card, PLEASE, don’t read my memory card.
For anyone who doesn’t get it… it’s a Doctor Who reference
And the question still remains: who looks at a screwdriver and thinks ooh, this could be more sonic?
You’ve never had a long night, never had a lot of cabinets to put up?
Me!
And I look at angels in graveyards and think “don’t blink!”
Me too!
I get it, and I’m very sad because of it. Ugh.
Great, i had managed to forget that episode until now… Good-bye sleep for the next two weeks.
Yaar! To the English, you Yanks!
‘Who’ is better:
David Tennant or Matt Smith?
(10th or 11th)
Ten.
I look at angel statues and shut my eyes so I don’t become possessed like Amy.
Both are good, just in different ways. Personally, I preferred Christopher Eccleston.
Of course, you can’t forget about the “old” Doctors: William Hartnell, Patrick Troughton, Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker, Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, and Paul McGann.
I <3 them all.
My personal favorites are Christopher Eccleston and Tom Baker. Eccleston was my first Doctor, and Tom Baker… well, he’s “The Great One”. He IS The Doctor.
Mine were Christopher Eccleston & David Tennant. For some reason Tom Baker annoyed me, don’t know why, completely irrational on my part.
And I loved that episode. This is exactly what I think of when I see a gas mask.
11. He is just more accessible in my opinion
I like Tennant’s stories but Smith’s quirky Doctor.
I think Smith’s second episode was his bets so far…the one with the Time Whale…”Nobody HUMAN has anything to say to me today!”
Me.
I love you!
<3
i. love. you.
EEEP!!!
No I am.
their both good, it’s the new writer i’m having trouble to like
Really? I like Stephen Moffat, I think he’s a genius, especially after seeing his version of Sherlock Holmes (anybody who didn’t see ‘Sherlock’ earlier in the year. Watch it now, Benedict Cumberbatch made an INCREDIBLE Sherlock Holmes)
Ooh yeah!
I thought it was a shame he brought the angels back, though, they didn’t really work like that.
Yeah, I think so too, but I forgive him for the good job he did on Sherlock.
I agree, Sherlock was REALLY good. Especially the idea of it being in present day…
It even had a few websites that were like, their blogs.
Sherlock had his own website, “The Science of Deduction”.
John had his blog.
And Molly (the one who works in the morge) had one, too.
Search them up now.
Pff, you can’t tell me anything mate
, I spent ages trying to work out the third code on The Science Of Deduction (yeah, I failed, I’m not a particularly logical person, I deal in the abstract, and the downright insane *evil laugh*)
hello, the Master.
you seriously just sounded like him right there!
it was creepy.
honest.
D’you know – I’m glad somebody else thought that. They just weren’t as scary. I used to be deliciously terrified when I saw that episode and now I am just mildy creeped out.
TENNANT!! <3
9 Christopher Eccleston
Tennant. :♥
David Tennant, duh. And this graph represents why I am SO glad that I started watching Dr Who!!!!!!!!! (I just began, just got to David Tennant, watchin’ it on Netflix!)
Tennant for the “do me” and geeky factors, Smith for reminding us all of the old crazy doctors <3
"I am most DEFINITELY a mad man with a box"
Fezzes are cool.
DAVID TENNENT THE TENTH DOCTAAAAAA!!!! <33333
Fangirls of Ten-ten unite!!!!
Uniting.
nobody beats tennant!!!!!!!
god, i have a tardis-shaped usb port. whan you plug in the flash drive, it starts to make the tardis sounds, and the light flashes.
i’m a total nerd.
“don’t blink!”
Pretty much a tie. They are equal in the… Doctor department.
Or should I say a ‘bow tie’? XD
Ten.
10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 DAVOD TENNANT IS THE BEST!!!
*david….. wow i fail
David Tennant. Matt Smith is cuter, but David was just hilarious.
Matt, definitely. Partially because so many people were expecting him to be horrible, and he was just amazing, and partially because he was just amazing.
My favorite is Peter Davison, though. Matt’s a pretty good rival for my affections, though.
TEN!!
Ohh…. cant decide.. probably Tennant
this was also the first television appearence of Captain Jack Harkness.
I <3 Captain Jack
I'm still rather pissed off about what they did to Torchwood.
OMG me to, I do love the part in that epp where She is dancing with the dr and she goes um I think some one else wants to dance and the drs like ya but with who…. With all those jokes and I still never got that John Borrowman was gay.
Its always the hot ones.
John Barrowman is gay, Capt Jack is pansexual – he’ll have a go with any race or gender, witness him chatting up the blue alien Cho at the end of the universe.
LOL! Barrowman went DINGDINGDING right at the top of my gaydar straightaway.
Love the guy!
Me too!
What? Making it into a BBC World/Starz network co-production and filming Torchwood worldwide?
Incidentally, the new Dr Who series opens with a 2 parter filmed in Nevade. Where the Doctor is on a mission for the occupant of a certain Oval Office in 1969.
Where’s Nevade?
Just down the road from Nevada, its’ better known cousin.
Ah, I know it well. I live here, although most likely on the other end of the state.
That’s my favorite part of The Empty Child. Captain Jack! I sometimes wish I was born in the 51st Century.
i’d rather think something TF2 related
The pyro will burn you with her new degreaser and slaughter you with the axtinguisher!!!
Pfft degreaser is for most (not you of course!) ppl who can’t tap a key quick enough
Whovian… like Dr. Suess and all the Whos down in Whoville?
No.
Like Doctor Who.
No, Whovians are Doctor Who fans
No Doctor Who Fans are Doctor Who Fans Whovian is this really weird name that someone plucked out of thin air to give a descriptive term to make it “easier” to understand that Doctor Who fans…are fans of Doctor Who. I am a Doctor Who fan. I dont need to give it a freaking name
Correct. Now bow to me, my Whovian subjects.
This episode still creeps me out…scary kids always creep me out…
In the same vein, I would think of The Sound of Drums.
“You’re insane!”
*double thumbs up*
Sexiest moment of the sexiest man alive, that is.
very true
HUDDA HUDDUH HUH
MRRRPH MRRP HRMPH >:/
Doctor Who… So much references you’ll be able to faced to IRL.
“You get the gas face”
3rd Bass FTW.
*mumble mumble mumble*
It’s a gasmask.
Yes, but why are you wearing it?
Because of the gas!
I think of the pyro
BEST.GRAPH.EVER.
Long live david tennant!
This was an Eccelston Epp.
it was both… this was in Series 4 during the Sontaran Stratagem/Poison Sky (http://cheezburger.com/AmericanTimeLord/vids/View/7096321)
TL;DW = Tennant was told to put on a gas mask, he does, and the UNIT guy asks him a question about his opinion on the changes they made to their weaponry, and Tennant replies with “Are you my mummy?”
Yeah it was Eccelsons dDocor which the original episode was, but Tennant made a reference during one of his episodes
“OH YES”
After those two episodes, I’m still creeped out. I’m now scared of gas masks.
SAME.
the weeping angels scare me also….
I didn’t see episodes with weeping angels yet, still watching season 3
You’ll love Blink. In my opinion, the best and scariest of the new Whos.
BEST GRAPH EVER!
I was actually thinking about this only seconds before I opened up my internet browser. Made my day. Thank you!!
Best episode of Nu Who. And not just because Captain Jack Harkness was introduced in it.
(though that is 90% of it)
Best episode? Forgetting about Time Crash, are we? Plus, there weren’t enough Daleks to even get anywhere close to the top.
Time Crash wasn’t actually even an episode… (but it was brilliant)
I don’t think I’ve seen it but i do not need to to agree. If it has anything to do with DW, it is, in all probability, awesome.
MUMMY? ARE YOU MY MUMMY?
*in sing-song* I can hear you…. I’m coming to find you….
Creepy enough yet?
Now for some Doctor Who music: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGqrrmZXtqg
Now we just need one of these about stone angel statues. That episode creeped me out even more than the gas masks.
Which one, there were three Weeping Angel episodes. (Two of them were ‘Matt Smith’ episodes, and it was a two-part episode, but that isn’t the point.) I am assuming you mean ‘Blink,’ but it could be ‘Flesh and Stone/Time of the Angels.’
The last two weeping angels episodes weren’t very scary.
Weeping Angel statues scared me BEFORE I saw Blink… now it’s a million times worse.
OK, now imagine that the Weeping Angels are wearing gas masks.
That should keep you up for a week or so…
well at least then you can’t turn to stone as you can’t look directly into their eyes
Thanks EVER so much
Head over to Lovely Listing, it’s not uncommon to have them referenced.
Chris Eccleston as the Doctor ftw
The best part is that the person who uploaded this is called “AmericanTimeLord”. Gotta love Dr.Who.
That must be endless joy. My frien watched this ep late at night and it totally creeped her out. I never miss an opportunity to ask her the question. >:)
Actually run!
This gave me nightmares for A WHOLE DAMN WEEK.
I can’t look at gas masks so I’d be stuffed if there was another war.
btw, MATT SMITH= amazing & cutest guy ever !!
omg!! i remember this episode! (only a bit tho i watched it when i was like… 9… e_o) i forgot about doctor who x)
Creepiest. Dr. Who.
Ever.
I think I speak for all stoners when I say that I think, “Attach a bong to that sucker!”.
anyone want a jelly baby?
I think “Luke, I am your father”
Before Doctor Who’s “The Empty Child”/”The Doctor Dances”/”The Sontaran Stratagem”, the reference that would come to my mind was “To Life Immortal”. The headpieces of the Mortaxan Advocacy’s coolant suits was a gas mask worn upside-down and without the filter bottle.
Creepiest episode EVER. I had daymares about it… I locked all of the doors behind me so that I wouldn’t turn around and find a child behind me saying ‘Are you my mommy?’
I watched Blink (petrified?) from behind a cushion… Then there was that entire cave of them… FML.
The Vashta Nerada were amazing too…
angel statues before Doctor Who: fine and sometimes pretty
angel statues AFTER Doctor Who: WTF DID IT JUST MOVE!!!???
gasmasks before: meh. handy.
gasmasks AFTER: me- “Are you my mummy?”
stranger on the street: “Gtfo.”
That episode scared the living daylights out of me, I couldn’t sleep for a week after watching it! To me, it’s definitly the scariest one- with Blink straight after it. And the other two W.A episodes. Angel statues and gas masks really freak me out now.
And now I’m getting even more freaked out after the comment about Weeping Angels wearing gas masks. Those mental images will not go away!
I love Doctor Who…
That’s exactly what I think!
I actually saw a kid on the bus the other day wearing a mask he made in art class. The mask resembles a gask mask, so I yelled, “Are you my mummy?!” I think it confused the poor kid. Although, since I live in America, not everyone’s heard of it so that’s understandable.
“NO CAROLE, YOU’RE NOT MY MOTHER!”
^^;
Barrowman joke. You either get it or you don’t.
LOL. That’s so what I think! Lulz. I actually had a smoke-bomb alert at school adn we had the cops come in in breathing app that looked like old-fashioned gas masks. My friend and I practically screamed it at each other across the football field (our evac area).
Win.
As to Who’s the best? Ten. w.out a doubt. Tom B was awesome – he made me fear daleks that could be defeated by steps. But DT makes me cry and tugs my heart stings. And he’s beaut.
Matt is easy on the eyes, funny, adn carries the righteous anger reli well. “No human gets to talk to me today!”
Woot
Does thinking ‘it’s a gas mask!’ count?
Totally xD
I did not knew that doctor who was so famous in america o.o
My graph would show another huge part representing “I MUST get that!!!”.
david was the best doctor “are you my mummy”
