  1. Robert the Bobbert says:

    Foist.

  2. Clint says:

kinda disappointed that they don’t have I Am Legend on here, which would probably be the top-right.

    • ethana2 says:

Uh. Yeah. It’s the one I went to look for *first*. Infographic fail.

      • frootofaloom says:

well they were more vampires than zombies

        • Lorben says:

The author did explicitly call them vampires.

I am Legend did have a big effect on zombie movies and did a lot to promote disease zombies vs undead zombies. Not actually zombies though.

          • Varyter says:

Read ‘The Zombie Survival Guide’ by Mat Brooks. True Zombies are infected with a disease, die and reanimate with a mutated infected brain, not a curse or something, are slow and hell bent on achieving a goal (eating other Humans), but the most straightforward way as possible. So technically real zombies should be like Shaun of the dead over there, but they aren’t so easy to kill as you need a solid head shot to kill a zombie.

            • a guy with common sense says:

no, in “The Zombie Survival Guide” they wern’t trying to “eat” the humans, but merely bite them and infect them aswell

did you just skip that part or are you slow?

        • Erik the Dude says:

True, but their feral behavior was pretty zombiesque, though they did start showing signs of sentience. They were like… unevolved vampires. Cromagnula, if you will.

Those emmereffers would definitely be well into the top right corner though.

          • ethana2 says:

But I mean, when has there ever been a vampire movie where it was an airborne epidemic? They may be very vampire-like, but given 28 days later, I’d definitely say they fall squarely in the zombie genre.

            • Erik the Dude says:

That’s more or less my point. The author calls them vampires, but they resemble zombies enough that you could call them either one.

            • A Random Pooka says:

Wasn’t the tech geek in the Blade 3 trying to work on an airborne anti-vampire virus? Patton Oswalt, I think was the actor.

    • Pocket Ninja says:

What about silent hill and Left 4 dead?

Those were the ones i was looking for.

I don’t recognize half of these movie titles.

      OH AND TWILIGHT FANS

      • Charle Oscar Delta says:

I second every part of that. The twihards are way off to the left and the L4D are a little smarter than zombieland, i don’t know silent hill and i would put Call of Duty: World at War Nazi Zombies a little slower than zombieland with ghe Hell-Hounds (could be considered) above to the right

    • bethany says:

Ummm… i really don’t mean to rub you the wrong way BUT, i have read the orginal book “I am legend” by Richard Matheson. and the ‘creatures’ are Vampires, so they aren’t really ZOMBIES… but I guess they could be classified by the dieased and undead, excepted they never died.

  3. Kim says:

Zombie Strippers shouldn’t even be on here. That was the worst of all bad movies ever created by man ever.

  4. CyberSkull says:

This graph needs Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2.

  5. NNG. says:

Maybe replace it by Rec. But the zombies are from the three kinds: undead (the old woman), diseased (a virus), and possessed (the virus is known as “possession”). But actually, they can be dumb, smart, fast and slow. Anyway, you’re screwed.

  6. arthelais says:

Awesome graph! Of course everyone has an opinion, but it’s really the maker’s choice which movies he puts on it.

  7. lolborg says:

is that evil dead one a refrence to a song by the misfits?because waht face kinda looks like one of the things from their covers

  8. SmokinGun95 says:

YAY!!!! shaun of the dead FTW!!!!!!

    • Hawkeye11 says:

Oh yeah! I was totally psyched when I saw that. I’m kind of surprised that they consider it a real zombie movie despite its kind of romantic-comedy theme, but it’s an awesome movie, so it deserves to be on here! :D

    • wingedshadowwolf says:

      Shaun is awesome!

I was also thinking about the zombies from Oblivion.

  9. Bryans91 says:

Watching this whiles listening to M1 A1- Gorillaz…. awesomeness

  10. Anonymous says:

I’m pretty sure Shaun of the dead is actually a disease since the infection can be passed on through a bite.

    • Time Kitten says:

It’s also people who are dead anyways, I think.

    • Hawkeye11 says:

Yeah, plus, when Shaun was flipping channels or passing by radio broadcasts and newspapers obliviously throughout the first quarter of the movie, you could catch the words, “mysterious disease” and “deadly plague outbreak” a few times. I think I might have even heard something about a meteor in the very beginning, which could have been the source of the disease.

      • GBG says:

Hawkeye11, the flipping thru channels part I believe was to make fun of and reference other zombie movies, since there are several references to other movies throughout. Like the part on the news station that said something about rage infected monkeys, yea 28 days later.
Even though 28 days later is NOT A ZOMBIE MOVIE. They were just diseased, zombies are reanimated corpses. It’s a great movie don’t get me wrong, I just don’t like the fact that it’s labeled as a zombie film.

  11. racist says:

28 days later wasn’t zombies, they weren’t dead, or undead, they were still alive, just enraged people

  12. James says:

What about High School of the Dead?

not a movie but ….there are zombies in there D: ….

  13. knee says:

    What about the “Thriller” zombies?

  14. Anon1e6 says:

That top-right zombie looks like a Heavy to me.

  15. the cake that was a lie says:

…i didn’t watch past part one of the Andromeda Strain, but i feel that it should be included. I think the diseased would be in the bottom right, Since they killed people and then themselves. :P

  16. Cactipie says:

I need all these movies now :D !
I don’t have any zombie-movies as of now but zombies are awesome XD

  17. MM says:

I was looking for I Am Legend too lol

I wonder about zombie TV…Trouble is, Angel is the only show I’ve seen that had them…not that I watch a lot of shows though.

  18. bigyellowdinosaur says:

What about Fido? I liked Fido.

  19. Mike says:

I think they missed one. George W Bush should be in the dumb and slow corner.

  20. ace5762 says:

Nitpick: Shaun of the dead should be a square really.

    • Stephanie says:

No. The people who become zombies die, and then are reanimated. We see Shaun’s stepdad die in the car, and THEN become a zombie. He isn’t a zombie after he is bitten, just after he dies. Same thing with Shaun’s mom in the pub. She is still herself after being bitten. It’s after she dies and reanimates that she is a zombie.

  21. Nemesis says:

For the love of god, change Quarantine in [REC]!!!

  22. white rotten rabbit says:

Slither and Zombies? This wannabe graph is a fail!

  23. Vinicius says:

Lastest zombie hit is the anime High School of the Dead.

They are dumb and slow, but they are everywhere, worldwide. Nowhere to run…

  24. Charle Oscar Delta says:

Am i the only onw who thought of the zombies in Call of Duty: World at war or the Flood in Halo?

  25. allmostakilla says:

where is “i am legend”?i can’t find it in the top wright section…..

  26. Zhanael says:

    Where’s Plants VS. Zombies? >:(

    • AdventureBiscuit says:

      I know right!

Probably like, slow and… i dunno, some of them are kinda smart. Like that final boss. He had a degree, you know!
