  8. This is certainly true for me. I’ve been trying to update my knowledge, but I’m noticing a lack of dinosaur books for grownups.

    True. I’m off the end of the scale now, and all I know about dinosaurs is that they were around a long time ago, but they were big and stupid, so they all died.

      Exactly what I came in here to say. Pterodactyl was one of my son’s first words; he was 7 months and having his diaper changed when he pointed up at a poster and said “pterodactyl mummy!” After that I brushed up pretty quickly so I wouldn’t fall behind.

    Ironically, the same graph is true for the number of dinosaurs that still “exist” as you get older. Heh. Funny how extinct animals can still die out.

    YOU GUYS ARE ALL STUPID. THE *DINOSAURS* DIED OUT BECAUSE AFTER THE FLOOD OF NOAH THE ATMOSPHERE CHANGED ALLOT AND CINCE THE WORLD IS ONLY SIX THOUSAND YEARS OLD. THE WORD *DINOSAUR* WAS MADE IN THE 18 HUNDREDS BEFORE THEN IT WAS CALLED DRAGONS AND SOME OF THEM EXIST STILL TODAY (EVER HEARD OF THE LAKENESS MONSTER.)

    Agh. So true. When I was a kid I knew about 50 types of dinosaurs and could name them off the top of my head. Now All I know is they go rawr.

    I agree. I knew like 78+ Dinosaurs when I was like, 6 and could spell them correctly. In fact, Dilpoducus was my first word. Now I barely know anything about them… except that they ate and died.
