ever seen a cat with tape on their feet? they couldn’t take over an elementary school, much less the world

this place reeks of cat ladies btw

  7. Oga says:

lol cats aren’t that intelligent, just very anal. I find it amazing that some people can rally behind a certain animal so much that they write entire articles trying to convince people that the animal is smart. There’s an entire network of cat ladies out there that do this.

People do this on youtube as well. Search ‘tiger vs crocodile’ or something and you’ll find like 50 propaganda videos edited to make it look like the uploader’s favorite animal is superior in a fight.

    • percocet princess says:

Cats actually ARE smart as far as pets go, though. :/ And all the articles I have seen were scientifically based…

So I guess scientists are all crazy cat ladies, right?

      • Shipoopi says:

some cats ARE smart, the idea that they are in general very intelligent is ridiculous though

        aloofness /= intelligence

  9. jenny says:

You know, people often say this, but my dogs have always been smarter than my cats.

    • Nerd says:

Dogs, in general (aside from the tiny ones such as the Chihuahua) are smarter than cats, typically having an average IQ identical to that of a 3-4 year old human child, whereas cats’ intelligence is closer to that of a 1-2 year old.
Again, these are averages, they do not mean that there are not exceptions.

Food should take up most of the dog’s mind circle.

  11. Night says:

I have also heard at least a dozen articles writing about ow intelligent dogs are. How come you are a crazy cat lasy if you have three cats but you are not a crazy dog lady if you have, like, six dogs?

  12. Granola Butt says:

Surveys say there are more pet cats in the US than pet dogs, but more households have dogs than cats. That’s because many of the households with only cats have more than one.

I never had any cats growing up because my dad was allergic. After I graduated hs I got a cat, but tbh he acts more like a dog than a cat. He makes friends with dogs easily and likes to chase my dogs around the house.

I honestly don’t get the whole cats are smarter than dogs thing. I’ve met plenty of dumb cats and plenty of smart dogs, and vice versa.

  13. shepp says:

I’ve never heard of a drug/bomb/cancer-sniffing cat. Though I did read in NGKids magazine once about a cat who could sense when his epileptic owner was about to have a seizure, and another who always knows when someone in the nursing home where he lives is about to die, and the cat will lie with the person till they go.

    • RocketSurgery says:

Yeah, I heard about that a while ago. Turns out it liked to lay there because they would put heating pads on those beds and the cat liked the warmth.

  14. HvsL says:

My friend once said circus music. . . I’ve never heard anything more appropriate

  15. randomguy78 says:

more to ad to the dog list:
    BALL
    STICK
    SQUIRREL
    oh hello master
    BONE
yes i would love a walk through the park…
    etc. etc.
