Webcam? Like another poster said, it only makes sense (to me) as being the center part of the logo.
Pokeball? Well, it has a center-y thing too. So that kind of eliminates the Webcam. (Note: I know nothing about Pokemon, except that it was “lyke alllll da craze” in elementary school.)
The Simon game? I could totally see that one. And it also accounts for the center-y part of the logo!
Google’s involvement is obvious (well mostly).
Where’s Firefox fit into this? Chrome uses WebKit as its rendering engine. Firefox uses Gecko.
Why not just simplify the equation to Simon + Google + Apple’s WebKit = Chrome? Alternatively Simon + Google + ([Firefox - Geko] + WebKit) = Chrome?
And if you want to involve the whole Chromium browser project…
Firefox crashes on me at least once every time I use it. Chrome, on the other hand, has crashed maybe once this past eight months. Yet, I prefer Firefox. Go figure.
HAHAHA! Dude, IE is the most horrible because it lags on EVERYTHING and it’s has nearly 0% Javascript compatibility when the V8 engine in chrome is pretty damn near perfect and offers some of the best compatibility.
The only reason I use IE is so I can check my work schedule. The company thought they’d be modern and have everything online, unfortunately the only browser they’re compatible with is IE version 5 or higher, which is convinced most of the time that I’m not connected to the internet, whilst I check Questionable Content on Chrome without a problem.
So I know I’m late to the party, but Chrome does drag-tab-to-make-new-window better than Firefox or Opera. Chrome makes me the happiest and least frustrated. Sure, Firefox was nice. But Chrome is ♥.
They either used the Webcam because Google gets all of the information from you through chrome, or just the middle part of their logo…
Well crome uses webkit (safarie) not firefox…
Ah, cool. Somebody else who was on the same train of thought.
yeah. i gots both browzas and i noticed that it looks nothing like firefox

THIS ISN’T A GRAPH HOLY SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
Why the Firefox?
This sucks. Chome > Firefox will ever be.
Firefox would’ve alerted you to your spelling mistake. It wouldn’t have given you Chrome, but then, why should Firefox give inferior answers?
Chrome has spell-check too, you know >_>
Don’t say anything about what you’ve never tried. Chrome does have a spell check, dumbass.
Chrome would be a perfect browser, if the flash player didn’t lag and if it crashed less.
you just described Internet explorer… still wondering why its the only browser i use, oh well it came with my computer

I’ve tried chrome, Firefox and Iexplorer, and i like Firefox the best. adblock plus, greasemonkey, its got it all!
Apparently you never got far enough as to learn about Extensions. It’s got this stuff already.

chrome plays flash better then any browser i have seen, I prefer firefox but it plays flash *wouldn’t bug me if only vids wouldn’t skip* like crap
Once they implement Hardware acceleration, it’ll be a thing of the past.
you forgot to subtract the menu bar from firefox
But the logo idea is something like this: http://bit.ly/cYCDLy
Opening new tabs on Chrome almost makes it faster. In FireFox, A new tab makes it f**king implode!
Firefox can’t seem to decide whether or not to load my entire webpage half the time.
I think it kinda looks like glados from portal aswell … hmm… interesting :/
the end result is like ball samus with a regge coat of paint

You forgot the Matrix of Leadership. God, people!
You know, the google chrome logo always reminds me of Samus’s Morph ball.
