What?! This graph actually sucks, climb back into your mum’s cellar.

    • DepressedRacoon says:

Yeah, my bystander-level knowledge of English football (being a cricket man myself) show that we’re (they’re) excited until we’re knocked out. And then, they forget we’ve been knocked out every year and get just as excited next year.
      It’s kind of embarrassing.

  2. Tim says:

this graph is rubbish. Not because it isn’t funny but because England have had tougher times than this. England still have a decent chance of qualifying for the knockout stages, but in 1994, 1974 and 1978 they didnt even manage to qualify for the world cup. i think you have a severe bout of football knowledge FAIL.

  3. m says:

    ROO-ins, baby, ROO-ins!!!!

  4. kraut says:

the graph actually does make sense, seems like 1996 was a turning point. many thanks to gareth southgate.

  5. The Dude says:

It’s not just England. Other teams that are usually good such as France, Germany, Italy, and even Brazil, were also rather disappointing until now.

    • *ahem says:

Brazil has a bunch of actors this time around. It’s really starting to bother me when I’m watching them…. I remember during the Olympics when Ronaldihno took every single foul against him like a man and didn’t pull the whole acting garbage, even though the ref was ignoring it all, and this year they don’t even put him on the team… Their game against Ivory Coast was just embarrassing for both sides.

  6. Ed says:

Oh I think you morons spoke too soon :)

  7. USA BEATS ALGERIA!!! says:

hey they’re moving on at least… BUT SO IS USA!!!!!!!!! WITH A GOAL AT 91′

  8. Ace576 says:

I think the people at my school would disagree (The entire upper year got let out of class to watch the match today)

  9. Speedylunar says:

Well, at least they’re the only fans that manage to make more noise than those Vuvuzelas. I’m glad they moved on, even tho I’m not English.

  10. Stephanie says:

I totally thought this was going to be about fans of English literature and was totally disappointed when I realized they meant Fans of England Football. I’m the only one, huh?

  11. joe says:

you idiot england won in 66 so shouldnt that be higher than the rest?

  12. karissa mallet says:

my friend who lives in england went up to a big rally and her and her friends started yelling, go algeria! go algeria! and people began to join them :} i’m not being rude, i’m just stating a fact.

  13. Alice says:

This is a lie, everyone I know is going on about the football just as much as they did last time. I wish they’d shut up.

  14. Mikeado says:

It should start at the top each time and (apart from 1966) drop off when we get knocked out. Then rocket back up at the start of the next World Cup year.

  15. vuvuzela says:

its actually pretty funny, England hasn’t played well these last games and they’re out of the game now. But alot of teams are, look at italy or france. The good teams are playing crappy!

    Still funny xD
    BzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!

  16. Rvrstxx says:
