I mostly read Anne McCaffery when I was a youngin.

I must admit, I did read Twilight. Only the first one, though. It was okay, but not good enough to read the sequels. I don’t see why it’s so popular. There are many other better vampire books.

Anyway, I’m 17, and pretty much NEVER go on Facebook. I have an account, just like I did with Myspace, but the same thing happened with Facebook that happened with Myspace. I just didn’t care about it. I don’t need a social network such as Facebook and Twitter and all that crap to keep in touch with friends. Such is what Instant Messengers were created for. The closest thing to a social networking site I went to was Meebo, and they are taking away a pretty large feature to what made them anywhere near a social networking site: their public chatrooms, which I honestly did happen to use.

And I LOVE to read. My whole entire family does. No, I am not going to go on and on about how many so-and-so long paged books I’ve read. Why? Because it doesn’t matter. It doesn’t show off my intelligence at all. I read what I like. You don’t like it? Who the hell cares? And I will admit, I have read Twilight, and I AM somewhat of a fan, I am not crazed about it. It could have been a lot better, and I don’t really care whether you consider them vampires or werewolves or not. She was creative, and all you have to say about it is “Vampires don’t sparkle” or “Werewolves don’t do that” or whatever it is anyone says about it. So maybe they AREN’T vampires and werewolves. They’re entirely new creatures who happen to have similarities. It’s also referenced in the last book that the “werewolves” aren’t actually werewolves, so are more akin to shape-shifters. Though I hardly believe anyone cares about that.

Either way, I don’t have much more to say, yaddayadda, TL;DR, whatever.

I’m only 20, but my years working in the library have taught me to hate the literature-minded teen. They’re creepy, greasy little people who will request a long list of vampire-inspired novels without blinking.

Of course, then you have your bibliophilic teen who swears against anything remotely close to vampires, werewolves, regular wolves, or wizardry in a bizarre crusade against the ‘Young Adult Fiction’ section. These kids usually use a lot of swear words and try to bum coffee and cigarettes from the librarian.

TL. DR.

Then once the “Vampire fad” cools off, they stop reading books all together.
