  1. Kukki says:

yeah… i once went to a mcdonalds without shoes (they were ripped apart during a concert… chucks in a rock/metal concert… not a good idea) and the all the workers were talking about it behind my back… at least they didn’T throw me out.

  2. that guy says:

Why do they require shoes anyway? I’m guessing it’s some sort of insurance liability thing.

    • pella says:

      it’s a health code thing

      • Austin says:

Incorrect. It is not illegal for CUSTOMERS to be barefoot in restaurants, or anywhere for that matter. FOOD HANDLERS must be shodden, however.

    • Enry says:

Like pretty much everything in the US, it’s related to the likelihood of lawsuits. Someone who is barefoot is MUCH more likely to slip and fall on a wet floor or to step on something and cut themselves. And we all know what happens then, hello settlement.

Add to that the general distastefulness people have towards it and it’s easy to see why it would be a no-brainer policy for any eating establishment.

  3. Kevin says:

Honestly, just put some damn shoes on, hippie.

  4. nicolas says:

people eat there, personally i couldnt care less, but for some people its distasteful when some guy walks in without shoes, foot cheese scent all over the place.

    • MLD says:

If they haven’t BEEN wearing shoes, their feet won’t smell. The odor is FROM wearing shoes.

      • BioThunder says:

But sometimes it’s from sweating too much, or from accidentally stepping on dog crap while NOT wearing shoes.

        • Eefje says:

And if you’re wearing shoes while stepping in dog crap suddenly the dog crap becomes clean or something?
Seriously, feet aren’t necesarily dirty. They become so from walking, but they’re cleaner than the average shoe sole, because they don’t have profile and most people wash their feet every day. The only thing is that dirt from the floor will come on your feet instead of on your shoes, but the only person harmed by that is the one not wearing the shoes, and it’s their own choice.

  5. Marc says:

Shoes are not required at your desk, in my office people walk around in just socks.

  6. Kat says:

I don’t want to see most people’s unattractive feet. Flip flips are offensive enough.

  7. SOME GUY says:

The floor of Mcdonalds isn’t covered in food (I live in the UK) but once when I went to America, we decided to eat in a Pizza place when I looked down; I was saying to myself, “I’m never eating here again”

Another thing, 64% of America is obese according to research.

  8. cristal joy says:

but its ok ra kay it is just asacrifice♥♥♥

  9. Dal Gurak says:

The only time I ever went into a place like that barefoot was like a so:

My mother and I went to a KFC, and used the drive thru (that’s why I didn’t bother to wear shoes). They told us that our order would take a while, so they asked us to park in the lot while they got it ready, so we did. Minutes passed. Five. Ten. Twenty. Okay, that’s enough. I got out of the car and walked through their filthy, muddy parking lot, walked into the not-at-all-crowded restaurant, stood in front of the counter, crossed my arms, and just STARED AT THEM. About two minutes later, guess what? We get our damn food. Never went there again.

  10. Newbiewuvskittehs says:

At my friends school, she doesn’t need to wear shoes.

  11. Kiqu says:

    A) If you’re in a damn restaurant, even a crappy one, why would you enter without shoes?

    B) Since when does shoelessness require an investigatory body?
