  1. Troll (who lives under a bridge) says:

    Hey!

    • Grey Acumen says:

I’m taking bets on how close the comments on this page mimic exactly what the graph shows.

I think the graph might have used a little too much purple though.

  2. Trollercoaster says:

That’s not true, I’ve never saw anyone trolling around. But Obama is trying to enslave the white people.

  3. RJ says:

    Nice. Very nice.

  4. CoffeeshopFrank says:

    Reminds me of Cybernation’s forums.

  5. Tora says:

This is the best description of American politics I’ve seen in years.

    • Crossharp says:

… and, by extension, Americans. (Speaking as a Brit who prefers Europe to the US of A – unlike any of my representatives.)

  6. Melody says:

The red slice needs to be far, far bigger than it is.

  7. emptyshell says:

It makes me sad that I have a toe in the “willfully ignorant” pool… :-C

    • Azkyroth says:

This graph needs a section for “willfully ignorant people who insist despite all evidence that the distribution of willful ignorance among liberals and ‘conservatives’ is remotely symmetrical because the Fallacy of the Golden Mean is such a boon to lazy thinking.”

      • JackBond says:

Would you not prefer “lazy thinking” if it promotes accord?

      • charro says:

I think it should be more like “Willfully ignorant people who despite all evidence and facts contrary to their beliefs argue based on hypotheticals and fantasy”. Wait.. That just means willfully ignorant. Hrmpth.

*goes back to the drawing graph*

  8. Bplace says:

This is true. It seems no matter where I go there are always idiots arguing.

    • starling says:

Problem is, the reasonable, nice ones are usually not really interested in politics. That’s why most politicians are tw*ts.

  9. aaron m says:

technically there is absolutely no such thing as open-mindedness (if that is a word)

  10. screween says:

I takes my place in the blue slice but just like to say:

I went to youtube to see Barney Frank talk town hall meeting, and 60% of the comments were about “Obama will destroy humanity” while 30% were homophobic and extremely homophobic.

It’s nice to position oneself above blue and red makes you feel superior when you are just plain ignorant

    • JackBond says:

Having trouble learning the English, are we?

Are you a homo? Cause I’m a homo, and I don’t mind when people exercise their free speech, so lay off.

    • metaltothedeath says:

“Homophobic” is a term clinically used to describe people with a phobia of people of the same sex. A phobia by DSM-IV standards is a serious anxiety disorder. I can tell you are putting a negative connotation and must ask you discontinue such use as it is offensive to the mental health population and shows complete disrespect.

  11. JackBond says:

The blue label is redundant and the red label is a contradiction… :P

  12. DarkGem says:

I like the color choices on this one.

    Red conservatives
    Blue liberals
    Purple moderates
    Green trolls

  13. phil says:

that graph was fake and gay

  14. Kirara says:

THE BLUE SECTION IS BIGGER THAN THE RED SECTION!!!111 ZOMG THE PERSON IS OBVIOUSLY PREJUDICED AGAINST LIBERALS!!1one!!1

  15. metaltothedeath says:

The blue slice is redundant. “Willfully ignorant” and “liberals” mean the same thing. =O

    • JackBond says:

I know, right? That’s what I’m saying. And “willfully ignorant conservatives” is a contradiction.

    • WorldsTallestMidget says:

You obviously haven’t been to the southern states if you think Libs are the ignoramuses.
      And I quote:
“Well, look at you, all sittin’ straight and readin’ that newspaper…you queer or sum’hin?”
      I rest my case.

      • JackBond says:

Funny. You just disproved your own case.

It’s just like an ignorant liberal to use a really poor stereotype to prove his point.

  16. smackthepenguin says:

The problem is that most people who THINK they belong in the purple slice most likely belong in the red or blue slice. I bet the creator of this graph is one of those people.

    -Proud red-slice inhabitant.

  17. Chuck Norris says:

    Go red slice!

  18. Yes says:

see the black line between the liberals and the conservatives? yeah, that’s the U.S. Libertarian party!

  19. Fred says:

I was a conservative before it was cool.
