true… hate to say it but true…

    • Sprite101 says:

This is why Steam is awesome. Mass Effect, Bioshock and the King’s Quest and Space quest collections were $5 each for the holidays.

      God bless Steam.

      • Larry says:

Steam is awesome like that. I remember their $2.49 deal for TF2.

Best thing to happen to PC gaming in the history of ever.

        • Flick says:

I am 40 but my 13 year old LIVES on Steam and something called Garry’s Mod???

You know you are getting old when, despite growing up with the beginning of computer games, you now can’t keep up!

  2. WKUK says:

This is why noobs need to learn how to download what you want. and not from torrents.

All of y’all who agree to this chart are nubs of the highest sort.

  3. MrSeagull says:

    Yet again, Venn diagram failure.
Here, let me fix that for you…
    A few examples.
Replace “Sold out” with “Starcraft Battle Chest”
Replace “$59.99″ with “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 ”
Replace “Horrible Game” with “Dungeon Lords”

    • Sean says:

yyyyeah, to be honest, I, and perhaps many others, wouldn’t have really caught on to those examples, but this is definitely a Venn Diagram fail.

I rated it 1/5. Venn Diagrams need a few punchlines, and you shouldn’t have similar labels 3x -.-

  4. JuuEi says:

I wonder whats wrong with the 59.99$…
Impossible to buy an average priced game? :D

  5. Random dude says:

I think I hate this graph VERY much…it can’t get anymore true than this !

  6. Thumang says:

Your computer should be able to handle it if it’s cheap, there’s a reason it’s cheap and still in stock…

  7. Koolboy says:

i dont buy PC games i pirate them but if a game deserves some money i buy them but i rly cant find TF2 or the orange box anywhere

    • Simon says:

try Zamunda.net it’s a Bulgarian site but has a LOT of torrents with a lot of seed you just need a registration trust me it’s worth it

  8. Q6600 says:

I love it how games (fallout 3, CoD4, Crysis etc) just default to ultra high settings on my PC…

    la la la la la

  9. Achwel says:

What, is 59.99 expensive? In Norway a normal game costs 600 NOK, which is right around a 100 bucks.

    • mabsba says:

Yes, that’s at the high end of the price range. I don’t know what you call them in Norway, but you have some taxes on goods that we don’t have.

      • Sean says:

But the $40 extra you pay goes to great social programs amirite?

        • mabsba says:

That’s probably sarcasm, but since we buy maybe one game every couple months and I pay $800-$1000 monthly for health insurance and what isn’t covered, seems like a pretty good deal to me. (Oh, and we have really good insurance.)

    • Dina says:

Yeah, Mass Effect 2 for the PC came out around AU$85. And that’s not uncommon.

XBox 360/PS3 games tend to debut over $100. It’s so crap.

(And GST is about the same as tax in Washington State was, so it ain’t that. It’s mostly import/licensing/game companies hate Australia.)

  10. trickster says:

What about the Orange Box? hmm? HMMM? HMMMMMM?!

  11. Yuichi says:

Hasn’t this particular flavor of 3-element Venn diagram been done to death yet? If you want to persist, here’s your dead horse and a 2×4.

    • Redneck_Rebel says:

I’ll take that 2×4 from you and shove it up your smug ass.

On second thought I don’t think I will, you probably like it in the ass.

  12. Redneck_Rebel says:

This is why I don’t play P.C. games.

Get yourself a game console and you don’t have to worry about what it can’t handle.

    • Larry says:

Then you have to deal with cruddy controls, no custom content, high ping in multiplayer matchmaking, etc.

Although PC gaming is waaay more complicated. But worth it. If you have no life.

      Like me….

      • mc2w says:

Don’t worry about it Larry. See how his name is Redneck_Rebel? It means he can’t comprehend dem der computer bawx.

        • Psycho-ape86 says:

Yeah this may sound kind of dumb to you all since PC has more games but have any of you ever heard of games for Macintosh they have much better quality & performance.

In conclusion Mac once again gets another win & PC gets another fail as usual XD.

Oh and complain and hate on me as much as you people want, I don’t give a shit its just the internet

          • Psycho-Ape86 says:

Sorry for the dumbass comments I was really wrong about that now that I have tested PC games and they are actually better than consoles if you have the right computer.

  13. Unfair says:

The poster forgot the “DRM’d to Hell and Back” section.

  14. Kinseth says:

One word nearly broke our computer for good:

    Psychonauts.

  15. So true. My computer can’t even run a 32-bit game, let alone something like Crysis, or COD6.

  16. COD6 IS AWFUL says:

Untrue… Just buy them off steam.

    Never over 49.99 ( except cod6)
99% of the time in stock
    Great Games

  17. Ark says:

    Ever heard of Steam?

  18. Pencilsharpener says:

Isn’t Steam DRMed to hell and back?

  19. Brian says:

Steam DRM is at least fair. You can redownload all your stuff. SecuROM DRM is not so friendly. You get between 3-5 activations, and then you get to call a helpdesk and beg for permission to play a game you paid for. Often takes 3-5 business days for support to get back to you.. YEAH thanks Sony…

  20. James says:

Stop complaining about the prices of games you stupid americans. A new release 360/PS3/PC game over here ranges from $99-$119 and our dollar is only slightly lower than yours.

  21. stick2012 says:

    true

  22. invertedcontinuum says:

to contradict this: I got Portal for $9.99 at Target. Cheap, in stock, fun to play, and my computer can handle it!

  23. yes says:

Get out and talk to some real peopl, you kids are all crackas, holla!

  24. penelope cruisin' says:

    borrow from relatives.
