Pop up ads? What are those?
P’op U’p? sounds like star trek to me.
u need 10 seconds to ”find” the X button? xD
For those pop-ups that move/conceal/remove/delay the exit button, I don’t see how this is unusual.
Every time one of those hijacks my screen real estate, I want to murder entire families of ad execs. I doubt it would help, though.
But but but, you don’t click on it at all….! You click on your task bar, right mouse button, then CLOSE.
When has one of those very special pop-ups ever appeared in your taskbar?
In my experience, never ever ever.
WOW
This seems like it would be better presented as a pie chart.
Alt-F4 is your friend.
A well-developed Alt-F4 reflex can save you from much despair at the state of humanity.
Well if you’re using a modern browser, you’ll probably use ctrl-w more to just close the tab instead of everything you’re looking at. Haven’t clicked the x button in a long time. Besides, pop-up blockers do get rid of most of them
yeah, it’s cool to have the ability to quickly hit the Alt+F4 combination… it saved me from lots of problems…
microsoft internet explorer FAIL.
Get firefox + ABP.
Win. Not only do I avoid idiotic popups and rollovers, I now am never tempted to buy yet more stuff I don’t need.
Either that or Chrome with the adblock addon.
Either way it’s better than IE or anything IE-based.
Is there a way to make this work better? It doesn’t do much for me, and I’ve put it at its highest setting.
This graph, it speaks to me.
for some reason this graph won’t show up on my opera so i tried using IE to open this site, but changed my mind after waiting 10 seconds for about:blank to load on IE. wonder how long would it take to load some really graphic bloated site lol
Firefox.
Nuff said.
Amen.
Pop-ups feel like a distant memory. When was this chart made, 2002?
That would be IF a pop-up ad comes up. You don’t have to allow that….

I think this is referring to the pop-up ads that appear inside the window. Like on IMDB all the time.
IMDB doesn’t need Javascript. Remove its permission, problem solved.
So damn true
