I’ve never seen it’s proper use in a movie
There is one in Final Destination 2 that is used to escape a fire. That’s the only one I can think of.
Though, after the guy is safely on the ground, the fire escape kills him and “cause of death” doesn’t seem to appear as a slice of this particular chart.
You forgot breaking and entering.

escaping fire? everyone knows thats what the nearest window is for
in action movies, escaping the fire usually involves running through the building to rescue a girl, or a cat, or a dog, then running out the front door just as the building explodes.
To be fair, fire escapes (ideally) spend most of their time not being used to escape fires. ☺
