  2. Mad_Hatteress says:

    They forgot the whole self.

  3. JuuEi says:

    ?
Didn’t expect them to let this kind of stuff trough…

  4. Anonymiss says:

How do you read a graph like this? Obviously not left-to-right.

  5. PBJ says:

Great graph, but there’s no transitional phase. It appears that you’re either in, out, or shaking it all about (which, might I add, is incorrectly placed. It should be in the middle).

  6. me says:

I like that In is a supset of Out… really blows my mind x)

  7. mischa says:

you´re actually doing it incorrectly, moron

  8. joe says:

It’s the hokey cokey! WTF is hokey pokey?

  9. chris says:

    Thank you Joe, hokey COKEY!

Also this graph is generally crap!

  10. itwasadarkandstormynight says:

It’s the Hokey Pokey in America and Australia and the Hokey Cokey in England. And while the graph doesn’t make sense when you think of it as an actual graph, it is an amusing image.

  11. Ringtail says:

So, we are either looking at this person’s backside, or the graph maker is just stupid and incorrectly labeled the left and right sides of the body.

  12. Jess says:

    I quite like it

  13. Sibilance says:

This is the first time dance has ever made sense to me!

  14. dethfromabove says:

Shouldn’t in be larger than out?
“Put ___ in. Put ___ out. Put ___ in then etc etc”
There are 2 ins for every out.
    …otherwise I am a fan.

    • Hello yes says:

No, there are the same number of ins as outs, other wise you’d fall over.

You put your left leg in,

You put your left leg out,

In, out, in, out, shake it all about,

You do the Hokey Cokey and you turn around,

      That’s what it’s all about.

      • Mad_Hatteress says:

        What?
        Nonono.
You put your right arm in,
You put your right arm out,
You put your right arm in and you shake it all about.
You do the hokey pokey and you turn about,
        That’s what it’s all about
        *clap clap*

        Everybody!

        Wooooah, the Hokey Pokey,
        Wooooah, the Hokey Pokey,
        Wooooah, the Hokey Pokey,
And that’s what it’s all about!
        *clap clap*

        • Jim says:

No no, you’re wrong too, but you’re closer.

You put your right arm in.
You put your right arm out.
You put your right arm in and you shake it all about.
You do the hokey pokey and you turn yourself around.

          THAT’s what it’s all about.

  15. Slaador says:

So, why is this site called “GRAPHjam”, anyway?..

  16. RickRussellTX says:

    * Shake it All About should be a subset of In.

    * Turn Yourself About should be a subset of The Hokey Pokey.

    • PiMan says:

I agree with the first point, but not the second one.
“You do the Hokey Pokey and you turn yourself around”
Suggesting that doing the hokey pokey is a separate event to turning.

  17. JackBond says:

In should be twice as big as out considering you put your arms and head in twice and out once.

  18. aussiechef67 says:

… ah thank goodness for the internet. Otherwise where else could people get heated about the correct way to DO or to SAY the Hokey Cokey.

  19. Zero says:

Graph fail. You have to transition from In to Out. You can’t be both at the same time…..you’re defying the laws of physics…do graphs have physics?

  20. valerie says:

I love how people complain about how all the graphs look the same, how no one does anything original. Then someone comes up with a somewhat original graph idea that is funny, and most people who comment on it can only complain.

  21. Angie says:

I have the “Hokey Pokey” stuck in my head now. Thanks.

  22. thestashattacked says:

*sigh* Why does everyone have to get so serious about the graphs? Just sit back, relax, and lol. It’s a graph about the hokey pokey. That’s all the creator was trying to do.

  23. Ray Kremer says:

Six thousand years of recorded history, a history that includes remarkable composers, astonishing symphonies, but what is the one song that half of them sing to their children generation after generation? “You put your right hand in; you put your right hand out. You put your whole self in and you turn yourself about. You do the hokey-pokey; you give a little shout. That’s what it’s all about.” It doesn’t mean anything. I have been studying it for seven days. I had the computer analyze it. I swear to you: it does not mean a thing!

  24. Angel says:

Loves that there is this much debate. Not about the graph itself, but about the specific order and wording of the song/dance “Hokey Pokey”.

  25. Kelly says:

My god, I just read through the string of comments……thus is definately 10 minutes of my life I will never get back. Thanks for all the verbal diahrea.

  26. ShinyHappyPurple says:

Dammit now I have that song in my head.
    Auugghh no! :(
