I totally agree, but YouTube comments are less like “You’re wrong and I wish you were dead”, but usually contain much more obscenity, “die”, and “gay”.

This graph really highlights the correlation between anonymity and politeness.
Maybe he (or she) didn’t include the bar for this site because some are polite and some are not. This site seems to be an anomaly.
