We know that many decisions must be made in order to create a successful graph or chart. What is the best content to use? Have all options been factored into the graph? Venn diagram vs. pie chart. Or would a bar graph work better? And then there’s also the colors options. The red-and-green motif is classic GraphJam, but there’s a whole spectrum of color available. Here are a few charts that use color commentary (pun intended) to enhance their already colorful content.

I believe the “Icky white bits” are the white inner stem, the layer between the orange and the skin and/or the seeds
The Simpsons graph completely left out the pale yellow color for the Asians.
That’s what I was thinking. I also can’t think of any characters who are literally black.

As it turns out, the graph you choose is determined by the information you want to display! The only real exception is if you have exhaustive and mutually exclusive groups it could be pie chart or bar graph.
The Bumblebee Man in the Simpsons is yellow and black, but his skin is brown. To which does he belong to?
The first and second one isn’t true. My mom buys oranges that are easy to peel (and I don’t care about the white stringy bits), and I hated pink as a three year old–I preferred turquoise, black, and electric green (and I am a girl).
