And while all of you are arguing about WoW, I don’t fit in any of these categories, yet I have ADD and HAVE to drink a can of Mountain Dew in the mornings in order to keep my grades up at the college prep school I go to, and have enough energy to swim/play soccer/play basketball after school. Sometimes, before judging someone by how much Mountain Dew they decide to drink, think about people like me that fought to not end up being addicted and over-dependent on Riddelin and Adderall.

Ok, I’m 15 and a 4.0 student at a prestigious college prep school and guess what! I play WoW I get on maybe once or twice a week but that DOES NOT mean that i play for 12-16 hours. The people who DO play 12-16 hours a day? Are the 1.5 GPA guys at high school. THe guys who live in their mother’s basement are the guys who made it possible for YOU to post comments like this; the guys that got a head start in life OR the very very few amount MAYBE around 1-2% of the 12 million people that actually play WoW are homeless and too lazy to get a job. MAYBE they had problems YOU don’t know that and neither do I; we should not create a stereotype unless we actually know what is going on that person’s life.

Some of us are grandparents. Some like my father are great-grandparents and former Scoutmasters. No players I know are the kind who don’t have lives. Two of the guys in our guild are in the Army and are on their way to Afghanistan in the spring. Some WoW players might be losers, but certainly not all.

Actually, most WoW players that I know are hygenic, normal-BMI, functioning members of society, that just happen to play. Not all WoW players are the South Park depiction of the stereotype that the show has set. Now of course there are a small percentage of people that do put in 20+ hours a week, or, god help them, a day.
I, myself play WoW, and I haven’t touched a drop of MD in my life. The fact that Blizzard endorses that green/blue/red vomit-in-a-bottle, doesn’t mean that all WoW players drink it.
This is somwhat offending to WoW players, and continues to promote the stereotype that makes people shun the players of this game.
