i would be one of the overweigh people who would stick with the gym program! i don;t care if all the skinny people give me a wtf look when im there at least im trying to losr the weight but bleh gyms are expensive ill stick to my wii fit and dancing really badly :)

  2. feistycat says:

10 days? Most of those people give up in 10 minutes.

    • jamisings says:

It took me nearly a year before I gave up. And not because I’m lazy but because all the fit people wouldn’t wipe off the equipment! Plus the locker room had BLACK MOLD on the ceiling. It was disgusting and I would always get a cold after visiting the gym.

If you darn fit people would’ve just kept the place cleaner I would’ve come back.

Also I’d make the fit/gay men overlap more. Most of the body builders were homosexuals.

      • Ron says:

Maybe you should go to a gym that costs more than 10.00 a month to go. The higher in price you go, usually the health awareness/cleanliness of the gym is higher as well. I pay 50 a month for my gym (yes im obese) and I’ve found that people are cleaner and much more mature.

  3. Duncan says:

Really, there are a whole lot more gay men at the gym than that. And I’m sure they overlap with some of the other categories.

Perhaps the author meant “Men who look gay to me”.

  4. speed of life says:

One of my basic self-rules is this: Don’t ever make fun of overweight people at the gym. At least they’re trying. :)

    • moi says:

true dat. they’re motivating to me, if they come in relentlessly and try their best then i have no excuses about slacking off or plateauing…

  5. QUITMANBULLDOGS! says:

The graph is in the shape of a peace sign…..

    MERRY CHRISTMAS!

    • Humm. says:

I was thinking the exact same, was pondering whether to post something like “…Peace.” or just (Y), but well, no need I guess.

  6. Courtney Jurica says:

Yeah, I was on the verge of being coming obese, but not I’m a fit as a fiddle gym rat, but yeah, my mom is one of those people that would give up. I have to constantly keep motivating her.

  7. BecCar says:

Well that is exactly how you can get those people to continue to go to the gym to get healthy…redicule them.

    • whatever says:

Well, it’s human nature to hate on others, and the hot trend is fatties. (‘Cos, you know, they enjoyed such elevated status before the “obesity epidemic” thing.) Trash-talk ‘em because they’re fat, trash-talk ‘em because they’re trying to do something about it. Beats the hell out of focusing on your own deficiencies, doesn’t it?

  8. Paul says:

Yeah, this really ought to be a Venn diagram, so that the ‘gay men’ category can overlap with some of the others…

  9. c. observer says:

what you don’t see on the graph is “hot women from the commercial” and i can’t help but think that was intentional

  10. Matthew says:

You’re forgetting the “Guys going to the gym to check out the women excercising”

    • Dal Gurak says:

That’s every man at the gym … well, the straight ones, of course. The gay men are checking out the dudes.

  11. Ace5762 says:

Are you sure you need that ‘other’ section?

  12. Vizitas says:

lol he secretly made a hippie sign…awesome!!!!

  13. Arthur says:

Hey. I would be in the ‘other’ section.

I’m not gay, obese, aged or a body builder. I’m just a quitter.

  14. bubba says:

all i can say to this is… this: http://cheezburger.com/View.aspx?aid=3025249792 is a better representation of how the gym population works

  15. Jay says:

I think at least 50% of the “obsessively fit” category are gay men as well.
