Actually, I downloaded the latest version of Mozilla and it was like half the speed of Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer…so I have no idea what you’re talking about =P
Because Facebook is so much better than Myspace. They both are a waste of time. And why use IE for watching porn? It’s the most tied to windows, so malicious files run through it are that much more likely to fubar your whole system than watching porn on like Opera or Firefox or straight Mozilla or .. any number of other browsers that are not quite so integrated with the OS. Or even better, download knoppix and use it to watch your porn
i never really thought of using chrome for porn. i thought incognito just meant it didn’t have the omnibar or something. IE is awful, firefox is for porn, and chrome is for everything else.
Stoopid comment system. I really meant “ftp-space-ftp.opera.com”. There should be no http. You could do it as ftp://ftp.opera.com, but I was trying to point out that you could use (*gasp*) the command line. Hrmph.
They all have their problems. IE is obviously a resource hog and lacks security, but is much more user-friendly when downloading. Firefox is way faster and smoother, but causes text size/font problems for auctiva users when listings are posted to eBay. Chrome is lightning quick and stripped-down (which I love), but every time I use it I encounter a compatibility issue and have to open a different browser anyway. As it is, I pretty much use FF all the time, except when I need to download drivers.
What bothers me is that people are not specific about their subjects nor do they do an adequate amount of research. IE what? IE 7? IE 8? If you’re referring to IE 7, then yeah, maybe, but with proper research, IE 8 is a much better browser than what Firefox is capable of offering. You say IE lacks security; that is completely untrue as IE features the most comprehensive and customizable security settings. This article came to the conclusion that risk of using any browser on the internet is the same, provided they are fully updated and patched properly. However, it notes that IE is the only browser with serious enterprise management, and that it is the only broswer that can enforce goverment standards on millions computers, noting that it is a very difficult feature to achieve. And you want to know the most shocking fact about Mozilla Firefox? Take a look at this link , scroll down and you’ll find this quote: “Although this feature is a definite plus to Mozilla users, I’ve yet to miss the dumbfounded look when you tell a Firefox fan that their coveted browser depends on Internet Explorer’s security settings.” So, if you claim that IE “lacks security,” then a browser that depends of some of IE’s security features must also “lack security,” don’t you think?
To this day (current patch level) even with IE 8, there are websites you can go to and get your Windows box infected without doing anything other than just going to the website. A friend just charged a client for a full day of virus/malware cleanup, and the virus was picked up by simply going to a site with IE8. If you’re running IE of any version, there is simply no way to guarantee that you won’t get infected, since one of the primary attack vectors these days is to hijack legitimate websites and inject malware attacks.
I don’t think Firefox on my Linux box depends on IE settings. On a Windows box it probably does, because it’s pretty much impossible to do internet connections on a Windows box without going through the windows TCP/IP layer, and IE is integrated right down to the bone there. That’s not the fault of Firefox.
If you want to get away from IE entirely, you have to stop running Windows. Running another browser (ANY other browser) is putting you well ahead of the game.
LOL! I had to fix 3 computers in my family, so while I’m defragging it, I download other browsers because internet explorer isn’t very good… now most of them have Mozilla! (Firefox)
I know I shouldn’t watch porn with IE because of the security issues, but Firefox is for regular stuff, Opera is for stuff I’m slightly ashamed of and stuff that I didn’t want to futz with my FF NoScript/Adblock Plus settings to get to work correctly, and IE ended up being for the porn.
But the point is irrelevant now that I switched to Ubuntu Linux and don’t have IE anymore. I need a new porn browser.
no, just thought to be cool. It is irrational to hate a browser. Really? you hate a browser? Poor little thing; you do not know the real meaning of hate or you do not have a life.
How many toolbars are you up to? Try covering half of your monitor with toolbars. It’s a fun game! Then, if you succeed, buy a bigger monitor! The fun never ends!
I am offended.
You misspelled “replaced”.
I’m using Mozilla Firefox 3.5
:) cause its better than internet explorer
Actually, I downloaded the latest version of Mozilla and it was like half the speed of Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer…so I have no idea what you’re talking about =P
really? have u tried google chrome yet? it’s even faster that mozilla n i didnt think htat was even possible!…but it is…
I’m using Opera 10.10
cause its better than mozilla firefox
I agree. IE, obviously sucks
Safari rules all internet thingys! internet explorer crashes waaaaay too much…
Guys, stop arguing.
I personally use Firefox, because it is awesome. But Chrome is also cool, along with Safari. And we all know that Internet Explorer sucks.
hahaha yeaaaaa
Opera rules all internet thingys! safari crashes waaaaay too much…
It’s been done.
http://graphjam.com/2009/03/09/song-chart-memes-reasons-explorer/
I feel like I’ve seen about 4 different incarnations of this graph before. It’s overflowing with originality.
Anyone who would use IE WOULD be using MySpace instead of Facebook.
Damn straight.
Because Facebook is so much better than Myspace. They both are a waste of time. And why use IE for watching porn? I hope you washed your hands before you typed that. You may have hit every key on the board.
tl;dr. use private mode in firefox.
Watching porn should be the red slice.
You should never watch porn in IE. Too easy to download/open .exe files.
Common sense FTW! I’m glad someone else noticed
Only an idiot opens an exe file from the internet, be FF, Chrome, or any other browser.
That’s what Chrome’s incognito mode is for!
i never really thought of using chrome for porn. i thought incognito just meant it didn’t have the omnibar or something. IE is awful, firefox is for porn, and chrome is for everything else.
nope incognito means the page doesn’t get stored in history
haha, i recently discovered incognito,, quite handy XD *doesn’t trust parents 100%* XD
FIREFOX
Why would you go to the trouble of downloading Firefox to download a better browser when the computer comes with IE installed?
Because you’re not using Windows?
Linux FTW!
ftp http://ftp.opera.com
or, because I realize my favorite browser might not be your favorite:
ftp releases.mozilla.org
Stoopid comment system. I really meant “ftp-space-ftp.opera.com”. There should be no http. You could do it as ftp://ftp.opera.com, but I was trying to point out that you could use (*gasp*) the command line. Hrmph.
My Ubuntu Dell came with Firefox, and I’m a Chrome user.
Ahhh wasn’t aware Linux came with Firefox installed. I’ve learned something today.
I agree!
*starts downloading firefox and feels ashamed*
as you should be.
this has been done already….and also featured just like this one….
yeah but it forgot that there are more browsers than IE, opera and mozilla ;P

I hate fanboys-anything, but I agree with 60% of what he said.
uugghh.. too… many… words…..
+50
Twitter’s that way —>
<— i think you mean this way.

internet explorer sucks Firefox is way better
Correction.
Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera, Epiphany, Konqueror [...] Dillo and Lynx are way better.
you have a typo. Let me correct. Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera, Epiphany, Konqueror [...] Dillo and Lynx are pretty much the same.
Does anyone notice that there is already the same graph on here?
There are probably at least 2 of each graph.
Also, Google Chrome pwns both IE and FF.
the other graphs forgot about the existence of google chrome ;P
this 1 just says “a better browser” so at least none is forgotten then ;P
No, seriously. People actually watch porn on the internet?
I always thought it was just a joke.
The internet as we know if now would not exist if it weren’t for porn. Seriously.
LOL! I had to fix 3 computers in my family, so while I’m defragging it, I download other browsers because internet explorer isn’t very good… now most of them have Mozilla! (Firefox)
thats so cool! ..not.

ALMOST perfect!
You forgot to add the slice that has you “waiting for IE to respond”.
Debugging your website should also be a big one.
IE sucks so bad
Meh, I suppose it’s cool to hate IE.
Cool AND rational!
no, just thought to be cool. It is irrational to hate a browser. Really? you hate a browser? Poor little thing; you do not know the real meaning of hate or you do not have a life.
You and the similar chart left out 3 more reasons:
1. User is e-Amish.
2. User is forced by a Microsoft application to use it.
downloading porn lol
WIN! so true…
downloading better browser? *Awful*
porn is obv #1, I heard about 60% of internet users use it just for that.
Since updating my OS, I have only used IE once, and it was to download Firefox! lol
Another slice for the pie: Watching instant movies on Netflix.
I guess I’m the only one still using IE then.
How many toolbars are you up to? Try covering half of your monitor with toolbars. It’s a fun game! Then, if you succeed, buy a bigger monitor! The fun never ends!
I believe this chart should be titled “Usage of Internet Explorer and Firefox”, as they’re both complete and utter crap.
LOL i just did that yesterday!
*raises hand* I use IE. I love it
And you use Yahoo to search and AOL for dial-up and you think Twitter is a porn site…yeah, yeah, we know.
fink yu got da graph rong.
shud bee 99 purrsent for ‘downloading better browser”
It was great! but as mentioned, since i got my new pc, the only thing i’ve done with IE is downloading Firefox.
Opera FTW!
Dont forget when “better browser” crashed for the 5th time in 3 days.
I like toihtlez
True. That’s how I got Chrome.
Google Chrome best in the world
I’m using Mozilla Firefox 3.6 cause its better than all browsers……..together
I am using Google Chrome
