  1. Adam says:

I don’t see where you’re going with this.

  2. mamarosa says:

    Alternate route:
Do you like cheap crap?——–Go to Ikea.

  3. Me :D says:

You forgot “Are you a redneck?”.

  4. MrSeagull says:

    Seems a bit snobby…
I still think there is an exploit out there, to get vote/ratings, I can’t remember the last time I saw a good graph here.

    • asdafrak says:

been a really long time since a graph that at least made me smile has been made, most of them just look like someone had a recent experience and assumed everyone would think its funny, or are pretentious (like this one)

  5. hee hee says:

I see what you’re saying… I am picking up what you’re laying down… I have heard tell of the ‘W’ word…and their not-so-better-business-practices. You couldn’t pay me to go in there. (GO K-MART!… I’m just sayin’)

    • sevenmarie says:

EW! Kmart sucks! there’s one right across the street from me and i never go there because its dirty and they never have anything in stock

also their stuff is crappier and yet more expensive versions of stuff that target has.

  6. Starlinguk says:

I keep confusing “hobo” with “boho”. A boho wouldn’t want to be seen dead in Wal-mart.

  7. Froggy says:

Trash on Walmart all you want, but is the comment about “mental patients” really necessary? People with mental illnesses face enough challenges without the added challenge of negative stereotypes.

    • mamarosa says:

Sorry Froggie, that hit a little too close to home, didn’t it?

    • hee hee says:

Of course, you are right. Mental patients actually have meds and doctors etc. to keep them in check and on the level (as close as possible anyway). The people who shop at the ‘W’ word are clinically insane and obviously are going untreated and thus, NOT actual patients. ;) or maybe they are just dense… take your pick.

      • Shadowbane509 says:

I have to agree with froggy and heehee. only UNTREATED clinically insane people shop at the ‘W’ word

        • Lolcats says:

How true! My grandmother, just to add this, used to shop at The W Word before she had a stroke and is having severe mental problems and is very annoying.

    • Liv1 says:

So much this. Good to know that my OCD/SAD puts me on the same tier with “hobo.” And FWIW, I hardly ever go to a place like Wal-mart. This mental patient cannot handle the crowds, the lighting, the noises, the sensory input in general.

  8. Kaite says:

    Um. That was lame.

  9. jlandz09 says:

Maybe it should be “Don’t Complain About Going to Wal-Mart”

For grocery shopping, it’s hard to get better deals.

And goodness, what is so horrible about hearing kids cry? No one likes to hear it, but who goes shopping to ESCAPE noise?

    • Sam says:

      THANK YOU!!!

    • ClariPossum says:

And aren’t there screaming kids at every store/restaurant/public place? Yeah, that got to me too.

    • Alliecat says:

Yeah! I mean, when all the other grocery stores reject the meat off the truck because it’s old and going bad, walmart accepts it to pass on the savings!
Seriously? I’d think paying a bit more for food that’s better for you is waaay cheaper than the health problems you’ll have later in life from eating too many chemicals/bad food/rotting food.

      • jlandz09 says:

You think that’s bad? You have no idea the kind of stuff that goes through Goodwill’s back room. I worked there for 9 months and…well, let’s just avoid reliving those memories.

As far as the meat thing, we rarely get anything more than a pound of ground beef. We’ll sometimes get chicken breasts and shrimp, but that’s about it. Maybe you’re right, but if so, we’ve beaten the odds with our shopping so far. (Wal-Mart’s meat is expensive anyway. I was mostly talking about their other stuff).

      • asdafrak says:

        proof or gtfo

    • Lolcats says:

You are SO blind from the obvious is isn’t funny.

  10. Err.. says:

This is just like saying you hate people that have some problems

  11. kenny fox says:

    wow snobby. walmart is awesome.

  12. L. says:

Yeah! Let’s all shop at Hollister instead!
    *Rolls eyes*.

  13. dontyouknow says:

Elitist much? I don’t know what Walmart you guys go to, but the one in town has pretty much ordinary people in it.

Maybe folks are jsut sore because the employees haven’t unionized. I’ll let you in on a little secret, folks: that’s exactly why the place is affordable for those of us who don’t make $50k/year.

  14. Matt says:

If you don’t like screaming children, don’t go to any store.

  15. Cowlifornia says:

Plenty of good walmarts out there, just depends on how close to the trashy part of town they are.

then there is target and kmart… i think they form a triangle… all 3 being full of cheap crap made by underpaid people in one of those countries that will never change their polluting ways just because some politicians believe lies about ‘climate change’. While it’s snowing outside.

  16. Mortis says:

    *shrugs*

    I like Wal-Mart.

  17. mona says:

    cheap shot

  18. dragyngirl says:

Hey, I was just wanting to make a graph to get on the website. It’s not a personal vendetta against Walmart or anything.

Enough people voted for it and liked it so that it got on the front page. How was I to know that that would happen?

  19. alli says:

Wow, whoever made this is really snobby. And what do they have against the homeless and those with medical conditions? I guess they aren’t allowed to be seen in public.

  20. Hoagie says:

I happen to like cheap crap. I don’t like hideous clothing though so I just don’t buy the Miley Cyrus clothing line.
As for hobos and mental patients…there can be some scary people in there, but that doesn’t mean they are homeless or have a mental illness. Scary people have to shop too. Walmart is pretty empty around 2AM on weekdays, but I guess alot of 16 yr olds can shop then.

  21. penguin_man says:

What kind of Walmarts do you go to, the Walmart by me only has mental patients… I think the people going there dress better then the people at target and I have yet to hear a screaming child.

  22. C.E.R. says:

Wal-Mart is atrocious. Awful customer service and poor quality merchandise. Frightening clientele. Dragyngirl, you got it right.

  23. Umm... says:

I’d just like to point out that whoever made this has obviously been to a Wal*mart to witness such people, and…according to the graph at hand…must therefor apply to one or all of these. And according to the graph one would apparently have to wear hideous clothing to enter a Wal*mart… So if A=B and B=C then A=C…therefore, the person who maid the graph, obviously wears hideous clothing!

  24. kchan says:

omg this was hilarious! and I work for Walmart and it was all so so true. lifes no fun if you can’t poke fun at your self and where you work.

  25. Ferret says:

    Love shopping at wal-mart.
Plenty of groceries to find and they actually have clothing that isn’t trying to sell a name brand instead of being functional.
Their new OP brand is comfortable and, more importantly this time of year, warm.
Every town is different, and if you have a crappy wal-mart, it’s probably because you live in a crappy town.
    Just sayin’.

  26. nobody_special says:

And let’s not forget those who didn’t ask to get sick or injured and end up disabled and on a so-called “fixed income” and have to pinch pennies wherever possible . . .

  27. phyre says:

    Cut corners.
    Hurt others.
    Wal*Mart.

  28. TJ says:

Are there actually people who DON’T shop at Wal-Mart? My wife and I try to avoid it (because of some irritations at our local Wal-Marts) and we STILL end up there at least once a week. Inevitably, sodas are cheaper or my wife needs something while she’s at work (next to a Wal-Mart) or something and Wal-Mart is the best option. You can find idiots and weirdos anywhere, but you can find everyone but the snobbiest of snobs at Wal-Mart.

    • Snobbiest of Snobs says:

That’s me! I wouldn’t put my foot on the property. True (maybe) things are cheaper and glitterier but my friend YOU ARE POORER if you get sucked in.
The “W” word – the store that shall never be named. . .. .Volde-”mart”. Sucks the life out of everyone – especially the people who shop there and the communities they live in!
And trust me – I have been too poor to shop in Sally Anne. I probably still wear hideous clothes but don’t catch me supporting a community wrecker such as Volde-mart.
. . . because I care about community. If you don’t – then go on and support it because one day, that’s all that will be left. And you, you “un”snob – you will be to blame cuz you shopped there, all in the name of supporting your family. There’s more to this world than you and your family.

  29. bspinky says:

    http://www.peopleofwalmart.com

    Bring brain bleach. That’s all I’m sayin….

  30. H says:

So don’t go to Walmart because you can’t bother to be seen around young families, people who can’t afford groceries anywhere else, roughly 25 percent of the population (according to the National Institute of Mental health), and people with hideous clothing. Trust me, if you were suffering from mental illness, barely making ends meet and had a young child-you wouldn’t care how about how hideous your clothes are.
For all you know, I might be that mother in the hideous clothes however this graph looks very unflattering on you, uglier than my $10 shirt.

    • Lolcats says:

I actuallt think the graph is preddy good :) It speaks the truth, no matter how hard it is for you cheap lamos to accept it.

  31. Stinky McButterfunk says:

Wow. I’m glad my Walmart is better than everybody else’s. In fact, all the Walmart stores in the areas surrounding my hometown are pretty cool. Too bad your local Wally World sucks.

  32. Louie says:

333 ways to get kicked out of Walmart. Everyone who gives a care, check it out because it is hilarious. And my friend and I actually did some of them. ;)

  33. agent gibbs says:

so if your male your always smarter than your mother?
or if you don’t have kids your smarter than your mother?

  34. agent gibbs says:

    why did i switch tabs…

  35. rastronomicals says:

Do you like exporting manufacturing jobs to China?

Next time you submit a graph, please make sure you think about what you are submitting. This “How was I to know that that would happen?” line is incredibly immature and irresponsible – I’m sure you knew that there was the slightest of chances, not to mention that anything you submit online is viewable by the entire web community. I’m sure you’ve enjoyed all the posts that have criticized you for carelessly submitting such a graph. Hopefully you’ll think a little more about what you are stating.

    • dragyngirl says:

The whole “measure twice, cut once” isn’t really working for me. Sometimes spontaneity yields good things, so I’m always willing to take a chance. That’s called serendipity. So sorry if I offended you personally.

If everyone thought so deeply about their graphs this site most likely wouldn’t exist. My comment about people voting and whatnot still applies, seeing as those individuals who voted up my graph wanted to see it on the main site, etc. etc.

P.S. It’s a GRAPH! On a humor website! Try to see the lighter side of life once in a while!

That was my attempt to try and mediate or somewhat soothe the masses.

To those who celebrate: Happy Holidays! To those who don’t, have a good weekend/evening!

  37. Scythelord says:

Walmart is the place to go for everything. If you go elsewhere, grats for paying more for the same thing.

    • Lolcats says:

Yea, but how much more are you paying in taxes? Wal-Mart has a huge record for polluting and costing $millions$ of tax dollars. I think Wal Mart is a huge ripoff that is trying to create a monopoly!

  38. wallyworld says:

i don’t buy clothing at walmart for myself but i do frequently shop @ the local walmart (there are about 20 here)

They sell the same brand things other places sell so why not go there. It’s the one stop getting shop. Anyone else who thinks otherwise is Jealous that they didn’t think of the idea of Walmart before Sam did.

    • Firewhisker says:

” Anyone else who thinks otherwise is Jealous that they didn’t think of the idea of Walmart before Sam did.” What cheap crap! Wal-mart is a horrible place! They pay their employees low, and pollute massively! Bad enough, they know that people will go there, so they price their items low so that more people come! The other businesses are doing badly because of it! BOOOO WAL-MART!!!!!WAL-MARK SUCKS!!!! DEATH TO THAT BLACKHOLE OF A STORE!! I totally agree with the graph.

  39. Lolcats says:

    ????? weardo

  40. kevin says:

How do people fail to notice that Target and Walmart sell many of the same products? The exact same products. Even a lot of the products that are their own brands are the same product, produced at the same place, put into different packaging. Almost all other branded items cost more at Target than at Walmart. Why pay more for the same thing?

Target is not better than Walmart. Their advertising is aimed at the same consumer base. Thinking you’re too good to shop at Walmart and going to Target instead just says that you’re a snob that isn’t any better off than anyone else, and you’re into throwing your money away for the same or at least very similar cheap, crappy products.

Having worked at both Target and Walmart, let me tell you, I will never, ever set foot in a Target store again. Walmart pays better than Target, offers benefits earlier than Target, has more types of employee benefits than Target, it’s easier to change positions in Walmart than it is at Target, they train their employees better than Target does, the list goes on. I think everyone should work in retail at some point. It’s a big eye-opener. I’ve worked in three major stores (Target, Kmart, and Walmart) and Circuit City. All retail companies are the same. They are all equally horrible and shady. The snobbery associated with Target is generated by Target. They know what they’re doing. When I worked there my managers told us that they are aware that they’re duping their customers into thinking they’re getting something better than the competition but they aren’t.

If you want to avoid shopping in bad stores, you simply cannot shop.

    • perpare to care says:

you bore me. let someone else do the shopping. sort of like a punishment. but worse. buy me some pizzas and coke. dragyngirl i just so happen to enjoy this graph.

  41. klondike says:

I do 80% of my shopping at Wal Mart, really the best place for price and
    variety.

  42. Frys_wit_dat says:

Walmart isn’t that bad..The clothes are decent, and I dont hear many children, the one bad thing is there is the density of people during christmas….

  43. Kady says:

Hm.. I work at Wal-Mart. I have for several years. They’re a decent company to work for if you’re smart enough to figure out how to do what they ask.. which isn’t rocket science, and they work with a schedule that works around school. Not that I’m trying to be all “OMG I love Wal-Mart” because that’d be creepy.

Most of my customers are normal people. Some of them have been homeless, some of them have had crying kids, and some of them have been mental patients.

Let me tell you- The most annoying, hateful, rude customers out there are the ones that think that they are better than Wal-Mart and are only there as a last resort. I can deal with disabled people. They aren’t usually jerks. The parents with crying kids usually have crying kids because they’re doing their job- PARENTING. You know, that discipline thing. And they usually are apologetic. No. It is definitely the snobby people that take the time out of the day to classify others into fancy little ‘groups’ that are the worst people to deal with.

(I understand that the maker of this graph meant no true offense, and was only trying to get onto the front page. Can’t fault you there!) As for bad customer service.. depends on the store. I write people up for bad customer service here. lol.

    • FanFictionFanGirl says:

i hate the snobs i am a girl scout and it never fails when i have booth sales there are people who you can tell don’t like to be there and they walk right past without even looking at you i for one LOVE the wal mart in my town and think that all of these are false
but no fault to you you just wanted regocnition
