Actually, it more depends on the person, and how they’re raised. Small children usually don’t have any shame, about being loudmouthed, about what they think of others, but usually once they hit middle-school, they’ll only badmouth, when the person they’re talking about, isn’t around, or at least well out of earshot.
I see know reason, why you should talk, like this.
*no
Jeez, that was a bad one.
holy mother of god!!!! your comma button must be destroyed!!!!! Can you still see the the symbol in the button???
Someone just got told.
FIRTS
Farts?
Flarts?
Wow. Synchronised stroke. Nice.
I’m pretty sure that graph could be re-labeled for just about everything having to do with aging. Wetting yourself? Amount of sleep needed? Pretty much anything (though I imagine college would cause another downward spike, though maybe it should here as well.)
It really should be tact, not tactfulness.
Yeah, and the line for “How much actual hateful judgment is being passed” probably pretty much tracks alongside the tact line there.
I don’t think children really hate others, that’s more of a pre-teen thing… at least in my experience.
That’s exactly what I meant. Little kids who say “Look how fat that guy is!” are usually just curious and amazed at seeing someone unusual. It isn’t until they get older that they begin to be taught that unusual people should be hated and ridiculed. Little kids have zero tact, and zero hatefulness.
I heard a story once, told by a woman in a wheelchair, of a child that walked right up to her and asked her, “Why don’t you have any legs?” whereas adults always whispered “tactfully” to one another, or “tactfully” walked by her, pretending not to see her at all. Guess which one she said hurt her more?
This graph reminds me of the time my elderly grandmother was looking at a scarf in a store and loudly asked ‘isn’t this a lovely (expletive deleted)-brown scarf?’
Clearly this study did not take place in walmart. O_o
All answered would have been horrified screams with a few mixed in heart attacks.
there’s no way this is anything but a european study.
There’s nothing wrong with ‘Elderly’ people speaking their minds. They lived long enough to earn it.
And generally speaking, they don’t bother. It’s not like young people listen to their elders anyway. They’ll figure it out eventually (right or wrong, hard or easy), is what ‘the Elderly’ think.
from my experience the elderly have no clue about Modern life only about the past, therefore there input is usually irrelevant.
Haha, awesome. Do yourself a favor. Save that statement til you’re 73. In a box. Then pull out your box of ‘When I was Young’s’ and read it.
You’ll have your entire retirement home rolling! The PAST IS IRRELEVANT. I love that.
Yes, particularly since most of the things that really matter don’t change.
Sadly, not even when they SHOULD.
I said input not the past learn to read reject
i think my grandmars laking in tact is awesome! she can get away with saying stuff that i wouldnt even think of saying and she totaly takes advantage of it.
And usually, she’s dead on too! Go Grandma, Go!
i like waffles.
I thought this site had moderation so silly, irrelevant comments such as this don’t get through?
Also, tactless Grannies for the win. I feckin love my Granny. She told the guy sitting next to her in the bus that he looked like “A fat version of Mick Jagger”
He laughed really hard.
We see what he/she did thar. Accident, I hope.
I think he means “SAttractive and successful African-Americaning”
