  1. Khaaaaaaan says:

So the average person only has a 4-inch vertical? Have we been eating THAT many Big Macs?

  2. Mrs. Miggins says:

    Came here for “white men”.
    Am greatly disappointed.

  3. MNM says:

So the average person can jump just abit under 1 feet? Wat?

  4. KZN02 says:

Is this graph including characters who can double jump?

  5. Sho Minamimoto says:

Shouldn’t it be more like “OVER NINETHOUSAAAAAAAAND FEET!”?
Ever tried cheating a Super Jump in KH 358/2 Days?^^

  6. John says:

That vertical jump goes up significantly when startled by spider/mouse.

  7. gant1986 says:

Even with the absurd high jumps some characters offer in the video game, when you miss the jump by about 1 ft. or so, you know you say to yourself “OH COME ON! I COULD MAKE THAT JUMP!”

  8. TheLori says:

Makes me think of Final Fantasy and other similar anime…the rules of gravity do not apply…

    • XVII says:

You don’t jump in Final Fantasy Games.

Final Fantasy is an RPG, not an Anime.

      Double Fail IMOTBHBBQ

    • Niv says:

If they did, we wouldn’t have been entreated to some of the most awesome vivid fight scenes ever put on film. As Tetsuya Nomora said in the AC behind the scenes DVD, “We know humans can’t jump that high. We just wanted it to look cool.”

Besides, that’s why they call it Final Fantasy and not Final Reality.

  9. Kelly says:

The graph looks like its showing double jumps instead of single jumps.

  10. jwhisen says:

Also, the men’s high jump record is over 8 feet.

  11. philip says:

Eddie Riggs can’t jump at all.

People running away from imminent explosions they caused can jump at least 300 feet (both in movies and in cutscenes of videogames).

Also, maybe the person who made this graph is morbidly obese, but even regularly overweight people can jump 3 feet (in the same way olympic jumpers jump 7-8 feet: by throwing themselves backward over their backs).

Also, there’s kind of a break in continuity: 2,4,6,8,10,12,14,20?

  12. Amandarandom says:

And not just that, but videogame characters can circle-jump; the ancient art of reversing direction in mid-air. If you think that’s weird and counter intuitive, try playing a game where you can’t circle-jump and see how much you hate it.

  13. Fourex says:

When I first this i read it as “how people under the influence of drugs can jump”
    I loled

  14. Dexaan says:

    It’s a-me, Mario!

  15. Kevin T. says:

Not true. If you’re playing Black, you can jump 0.0 feet. A stair just a little lower than the last is an insurmountable obstacle for you.

  16. forge says:

Creator of this graph apparently hasn’t seen “Prototype.”

  17. BAILEY says:

I was expecting ‘Black People’ to be the longest one

  18. CHRIS says:

LOL they should include the harlem globetrotters!!!!

  19. Zomara says:

Hey. not to be an a$$ but you spelt can wrong to the side. It is now cam. And just to let you know: I cant spell ether.

  20. Ivan says:

cough* cough* “Halo 3″ cough* cough*

  21. The Arcane says:

you know you shouldn´t jump when you´re high… o wait, ignore what i said.

  22. Pedrox says:

Try Super Smash Bros. Brawl with Sheik. You’ll be amazed….

  23. turbomother says:

If mario was a real person of a height of 5’6″ (when small) he would jump about 28 feet in real life.

  24. Joop says:

and you’ll be running faster than ACTUAL KENYANS

  25. Name (required) says:

No! You did it wrong, you forgot Mexicans!

  26. Anonymous says:
