    Scale fail

  2. Captain Obvious says:

110%: You have a MASSIVE BONAR!

  3. Aaaaargh says:

    Those situations are not independent.

Maybe I’m too critical though, as I do recognise this, and the point seems to be quite true. :P

  4. Jovis hovis says:

    I like this one.

  5. =p says:

Chances of going when you’ve had a substitute teacher for the last 3 months of school due to your pregnant english teacher taking a huge ass leave: 0%

  6. Alcari says:

Why does everyone have a problem with going first? I prefered going first, you’ll still have some attention from the audience. 90% of the time, the teachers will not change their note after you’re done, so there’s no comparison if you give a crappy presentation.

  7. Jennifer says:

Go first so you dont have to have anxiety all class.

  8. Swicky says:

“When somebody else has done the exact same presentation, and the person presenting last will only be repeating the first: 0%”

  9. Heath says:

So talk to your partner and tell him/her that you’re not going to do all the work; and talk to your teacher about it. You don’t have to whine or complain, just express your concern that it’s not a fair presentation. It may not get you anywhere but if you present your argument reasonably you’ll have discharged your responsibility.

Remember that those who coast by on others’ coattails will get left behind when it comes to Real Life (i.e. once school is done), so don’t sweat what ultimately is small stuff :)

Nah, those are the people who inherit big corporations or become politicians…and make decisions that affect the poor and middle classes, even though they wouldn’t be caught dead with us. Now that’s “Real Life.”

  10. ergy says:

I know lots of teachers – grades 5 through 11 – who give extra credit to students who volunteer to go first. By 10th grade all the kids with anything resembling common sense have their presentations done a day or two before the due date.

    • Alcari says:

Seriously? Wow, they’d never get away with that, not if counts towards your final grade. It’s incredibly unfair not to judge everyone on similar terms.
