Mental retardation is a generalized disorder, characterized by significantly impaired cognitive functioning and deficits in two or more adaptive behaviors with onset before the age of 18. Once focused almost entirely on cognition, the definition now includes both a component relating to mental functioning and one relating to individuals’ functional skills in their environment.
I completely understand. I moved 1500 miles south to another timezone to get away from my family. I’d get homesick and go visit during school breaks, remember why I moved in the first place, and get back to my dorm to instruct my roomie to smack me next time I get home sick.
yeeeeppp. i feel you on that.
i moved approximately 20miles away and go home on the weekends because i figure let my mom do my laundry – im not about to pay almost 5bucks every week for it when she does laundry anyways. and every time i go back i have to keep chanting “its only two days” ):
HA! I know that feeling with the creator, cause im sitting right next to her right now in English III!!!!!
HaHa! YES PEOPLE!
I live in the same building with this creator!!!
I payed good money for a single dorm after suffering for a semester and a half with a roommate. I like my room, so basically throughout the month I go from “OMG, THIS IS GREAT”, to “Meh. It’s OK I guess”. Then I go home, remember the things I liked about having my own room to myself and no one to bother me, and I go back to college, and I’m like “OMG, THIS IS GREAT”.
Parental correlary:
1. Can’t wait for kids to get home to see their cute faces again.
2. The cute faces arrive home but with scruffy beards & odd piercings.
3. The smell from the mountainous laundry bags kind of takes the edge off dinner.
4. Kids take off rigt after dinner (with the car of course) to visit their buds.
5. Only T minus X days till they go back to school (whoopie)
… So I guess its safe to assume you don’t like your dorm room until you’re just getting back to it from a weekend with family.
Its just like when I was at MMA, and i really hated my barrcks. Not just the room i was in but the etire building.
And yes it was that bad. The entire building smelled of dirty feet.

Thanks for sharing, sweetie.
Now I have to go home to basically a hunting lodge instead of that apartment. It will smell of duck swamp all winter. ><
