    Bomb Pearl Harbor!

  2. papajon0s1 says:

See if I don’t buy the hunting=animal abuse logic then this graph falls apart quickly along with its funny. I mean you could just as easily put Bugs Bunny in the middle. So what? What this graph really tells me is all these equals big dollars! I should start plugging in all kinds of ideas into the ‘animal abuse+violence+selfishness’ model here and come up with the next big multi-million dollar craze! Sweet!

    • RJ says:

Mmmmm, venison. I can’t hunt because I do not think I could kill anything. I sure can eat, though. To each his own?

    • mjc says:

Agreed, it failed when hunting was animal abuse. Whichever lame PETA member made this stupid graph can go back to throwing paint on people wearing fur coats and stop interrupting the lulz with their nonsense.

    • EWAdams says:

Is shooting people human abuse? If they didn’t deserve it, then yes, it is. Same with animals.

You hunt either because you have no other way of putting food on the table, or because you enjoy being cruel for fun. You just have to be willing to admit that about yourself.

  3. RayneJade says:

LOL @ Pokemon!!!! XD this graph is teh funneh

  4. Muffin says:

Pokemon does nothing of the sort.

Animal Abuse: Forcing animals to fight each other just to get money from random strangers.
      Selfishness: “Gotta Catch ‘Em All”?
      Violence: See Animal Abuse

      • Zoid says:

Also, capturing the animals from their natural habitat and keeping them in balls also supports the animal abuse statement.

        • crazy people says:

im just gonna be dumb and say what evryone else already said.

“Animal Abuse: Forcing animals to fight each other just to get money from random strangers.”

          th pokemon have a choice.

          “Selfishness: “Gotta Catch ‘Em All”?”

so is collecting baseball cards selfish? probably more selfish than collecting imaginary creatures in a video game.

          “Violence: See Animal Abuse”

          see response to animal abuse

  5. poop says:

    FRIST!!!

  6. optimistic though says:

Looks like the creator copied that popular trigram idea and made something wrong with it. Chinese skills FAIL.

  7. Ilove2learn says:

How is Tamigatchi animal abuse, exactly? I’ve never played it, but it looks friendly enough.

    • TheObject says:

You have the option of punishing or not punishing your pets. Some people just beat the pets until they die.

      • Tami says:

If you just do that, it’s boring. It’s completely not the point of the game and it’s not the franchise’s fault that people are cruel.

      • Andrea says:

Apparently, in the current version I have, (that is V5, yes.) it doesn’t give you that action to punish them. Now I’m plain confused.

  8. Rogue Operative says:

Oh man hunting is mean towards animals, animals have rights baw baw baw. The only right animals have is to be tasty.

  9. matt says:

    hunting is not abusive

  10. The Eric says:

Maybe it should be Duck Hunt on the upper right.

Don’t tell me you didn’t shoot the dog.

  11. Theungry says:

If hunting is animal abuse, eating broccoli is to deforestation.

  12. Flick says:

Well someone’s a crosspatch and has clearly never watched Pokemon! Get a life dude!

    • Rohvannyn says:

Soooo… watching Pokemon means you have a life? I would have guessed the opposite. Just sayin’.

    • Ronaldo (the creator of this graph) says:

Hey Flick, I did watch pokemon when I was a midget.
Animal Abuse: Making them fight each other for the entertainment of people.
Selfishness: Team Rocket: Trying to steal them all so theyc an have every pokemon.
      Violence: Same as Animal Abuse.

      Flick Fail!

      • Geekoid says:

The pokeman are their by choice.

Team rocket is the bad guys. So it is showing that selfishness kleads to a bad end(blasting off Again!)

Violence is not the same as animal abuse.

        The pokeman have a choice.

What next? you going to complain about abuse in the Coyote and roadrunner show?

        • anonymous says:

i totally agree with you. i am a fan of pokemon, and when i saw the title of the graph, i knew what was coming. thank you for pointing those out.

  13. Fawn says:

    *bursts out laughing*

  14. Kendra says:

and they say games for adults are bad..at least ours has a age limit lol..well is supposed to -_-

  15. Jailbot says:

Yeah Uhmm sorry kids.. but you couldn’t shoot the dog.. You could try.. but he never exploded and died.. or even died.

    • ZOMGbies says:

It was annoying having him laugh at me all the time for missing. Why dont you pick up the gun and start shooting? Oh yeah, no thumbs

  16. pokenutter says:

    Hmmm… Meh.
Honestly, I can see how this could be true on some level. however, that level is so convoluted as to be impossible for an ordinary human to even think of it. In short, we’re all insane here.

  17. In GTA4 you can explode pigeons. I can’t believe no one has mentioned that already.

I agree that hunting is not abuse per se, but the graph is funny anyway.

  18. Tom says:

I say hunting to level out your low self esteem is animal abuse. As is hunting for fun. Or any kind of hunting that isn’t for survival.

    • papajon0s1 says:

You’ll change your tune after the zombie apocalypse! …cause then it’s like both sport and survival.

My home state of Wisconsin would be overrun with starving dying deer if they didn’t have the deer hunt. It has nothing to do with low-self esteem. It serves a valuable service and most do use the meat for food or donate it to the hungry and poor. I’d go on but Ted Nugent says it better than most when it comes to this subject anyway.

      • Geekoid says:

But that doesn’t mean people who participate aren’t doing so do to low self estime; which was the point.
I don’t think they do, but you logic is fallacious.

        • jkhsdvjzxjkf says:

funny since we have been hunting since th dawn of man no matter the reason so as to your logic is fallacious.

    • RedNeckJiuJitsu says:

Hunting only for sport and letting the meat go to waste is stupid. The meat could at least be given to a homeless shelter or food kitchen. However, most people who hunt today, even if they keep the meat, aren’t doing it to survive. With all the money that I’ve put into deer tags and hunting licenses over the years that I didn’t get a deer, the meat that I do get is quite expensive compared to going and buying a side of beef. But guess what, not only does hunting give me good food and enjoyment, it also helps control the deer population, which keeps disease from springing up to lower the deer population. Quick death by a bullet or arrow is a lot less suffering for an animal that a long slow death by disease or starvation.

  19. Nitpicker says:

I thought the point of graphical comedy is to appear somewhat scientific… Therefore I get somewhat annoyed when people don’t even bother re-reading what they’re submitting to check for spelling errors. I’ve seen this all over the place, and it’s not that hard to get it right:

It’s “TAMAGOCHI”, not ‘Tamigotchi’, ‘tamagatchi’ or anything else. Seriously, if you’re unsure about spelling in ANY situation, it takes approx. 10-20 SECONDS to look it up. I’m not even a native speaker, and I know that!

    “Meaning of “Tamagotchi”

According to Bandai the name is a portmanteau combining the Japanese word “たまご” (tamago) which means “egg”, and the English word “watch” (as in timepiece)[2]. Consequently, the name is romanized as “Tamagotch” without the “i” in Japan.

  20. moooooooooo says:

My head has exploded from trying to comprehend the logic in catching pokemon against their will, making them battle against other pokemon, and still consider them “friends” and “partners”…

    • typotype says:

My head has exploded that you can’t understand that even though you catch them against their will, they warm up to you and grow to love you.

      • xjjxzjn says:

is that now how we got our cows, horses, dogs and other doemesticated animal first is by catching them against there will and them le tthem warm up to you and grow to love or trust you? cuase they didnt just walk up and say hey put me in that fence so you could ride me or kill me to eatm for food and so on so on etc.

  21. *GASP* says:

Quote from pokedex:”Pokemon are also your freind”. Yeah right.

    Gotta catch um all!

    • typotype says:

No, the Pokedex never said that. It catalogs individual Pokemon, not Pokemon in general.

You do realize the point of catching them all is for the benefit of mankind, right?

  22. meepymoof says:

Ho. Lee. Crap. I think I’ve been added to the list of people who have suffered bodily injury from laughing too hard while reading the comments on this graph. Oh, woe is me. EPIC Tamagochi/Animal-abuse analogy there. Made my day, fo sho. Almost as much as the comments did!!!! Heheh……*coff*…….owie…..

  23. raadec says:

pokemon is cool because of these three reasons.

  24. Ishkabibble says:

    Boooo! Pokémon haters!

  25. gear the enginner says:

wow, this is just pathetic. i agree with some of them, but pokemon? get out of your mom’s basement, get used to that bright thing in the sun and go find a job!

  26. Random user says:

By the way, they dumped the “Gotta catch ‘em all” slogan. I still enjoy playing the games. I still play them. But just how is GTA related to Pokemon?

  27. Endarkened5 says:

Theres a bright thing IN the sun? Is it gold?
As for the graph, meh, its okay, but he probably spent only 10 seconds on it. The pokemon reference, which is very true I find, is what saves it. As for my mother’s basement, well it’s air conditioned, and the sun….it buuuurrrrnnnnssss…..

My pokemon bring all the nerds to the yard,
And their like, You wanna trade cards?
Damn right, I wanna trade cards.
    I’ll trade you this…but not my charizard….

  28. typotype says:

So Pokemon is animal abuse because you befriend animals to compete in a friendly sport?

And it’s “selfish” because the point is catching all Pokemon to help a friendly professor collect data meant to help people have a better understanding of them?

And it’s violent because they fight each other just like about every freaking video game on the market?

    …Really?

  29. mpeg14 says:

    Lighten up Francis!

  30. abcdefg says:

    uber epic fail

  31. Meowth says:

If you think I’m being abused, I’ll fight you over it to prove I’m not!

  32. Geekoid says:

You people need to pay attention to pokeman and think whikle watching it.

It shows respect, patients, kindness. Look at who the bad guys are and how they treat the pokeman compared to the good guys.

It’s it taught the pokeman are partners, and when someone catches one it always becomes a choice for the pokeman.

    • typotype says:

Why are you acting like you know so much about Pokemon when you’re calling it “Pokeman”?

Several of the “bad guys” also have Crobat in the games, which evolves from Golbat when its love for its trainer is immense.

The games teach nothing about Pokemon being partners, the point is to catch them for scientific advances. Your point about “always becoming a choice” doesn’t really make any sense.

The Pokemon anime is in no way a reliable way to judge the series. It has trashed the continuity and ruined the fundamental plot points, along with totally overthrowing the entire concept of the games, and throwing in 150% more padding than plot advancement.

  33. JJ says:

Well hunting = Animal abuse these days huh? You know your right…Man should turn his back on the land. Let rabbits and mice and deer multiply and swarm the land…or wait that happened in your country didn’t it? Man was abusive back in the day and didn’t do natural selection justice by killing the predators. So unless man holds his spot at the top as a APEX predator will will have other more painful things killing the animals. Plague, Lack of food, or just being roadkill. I do not hunt for trophy I hunt for food. in my opinion some of these new age non hunters don’t have a clue sometimes. Humans can grow food in gardens AND kill for meat, it does not all come from a supermarket. If I where to take a deer it leaves more food for the other deer in winter. the herd health increases. A falconeer hunting at a airport keeps birds from being sucked into jet intakes. Hunters in Michigan Feed the starving!!

  34. JJ says:

The comarison of video games to hunting is just pathetic. Hunting games themselves are Fail.

  35. Katie says:

just shut up about pokemon already!!!its not animal abuse!!!1)the pokemon have a CHOICE to listen to their trainers.2)they CHOOSE to listen.3)the pokeballs have a specially designed habitat inside with THEM in mind.

Either know the whole story BEFORE posting,or don’t post at all, noobs.

    • Ceiling Cat says:

Yeah, that’s what they TELL you.

“Oh, crap! There’s some worm! Go fry the crap out of it, mutated electric rat, or else I’ll beat you to a pulp! Alright! Now I’m gonna chuck some metal ball at it while it’s almost dead, and carry it around all day! Then make it fight until it dies! And if it kills other people’s mutated creatures, I’ll get money! Definitely no violence, selfishness and animal abuse THERE!”

Your attempt to point out others failing was a fail. Congratulations.

      • crazy people says:

im a die-hard pokemon fan, and i just hate all this crap. honestly which do you think is more violent: shooters (call of duty, halo, etc), or pokemon?

      • typotype says:

Here’s what happens in the game, which you obviously have never played:

“ARGH GO AWAY WEEDLES I NEED TO GET OUT OF THIS FRIGGIN FOREST STOP ATTACKING ME.” *starter KOs it in one hit, but it’s not dead and started the fight anyway so that Weedle deserved it* “Okay got rid of that OMG A PIKACHU @_@” *starter gently scratches at it ’till it’s about to faint* *trainer tosses Poke Balls* “GRRR STOP MISSING POKEBALLS” *trainer catches Pikachu* “YES NOW TO HEAL IT” *goes to the nearest Pokemon Center to heal it so it’s not going to faint in 2 seconds* “OK BUG CATCHER I CHALLENGE YOU TO A POKEMON BATTLE” “Okay, here we go! ^^” *trainer beats bug catcher* “Good game!” *hands over some money as a prize* *entire game later* “YAY I BEAT THE ELITE FOUR” *starter is all like “yay!”*

Uh, that broke down pretty quick, but basically Pokemon battling is a SPORT. They do this for FUN. Like wrestling. Pokemon appear to have really high stamina and humanlike intelligence for the most part, anyway. So obviously they had to agree to this.

  36. gear the enginner says:

ya know what’s funny? no matter how many peoplr say they hate pokemon, it’s still a top seller, it has been for over ten years and with heartgold and soulsilver coming out in america soon, i predict that it will be for a long time to come!

  37. mewfairy says:

yeah, pokemon is so violent! throwing leaves! wow, that sure to crack some skulls! and it has been said before, the pokemon have a choice, they can easily kill the people that abuse them.

  38. someone says:

I love Pokémon… but this was SO FUNNY XD
    (and it’s the truth lol)

  39. Jason says:

HUNTING IS NOT ABUSE….. Like “MJC” said, hunting is the farthest thing from “abuse”. In fact, I just got back from a weekend of duck hunting and I had a blast. I shot a mallard which I’m getting stuffed and put on my wall!

  40. stick2012 says:

animal abuse and violence should be duck hunt

  41. Piplup says:

Me and Meowth will fight you to prove we’re not abused

  42. ThisIsBullCrap says:

dis is bull crap, pokomanz iz not animal abuse you jerk!

  43. Jackie says:

What a hysterical moron. You must believe absolutely everything on TV, if this is your serious opinon Ronaldo. Teaching children how to be responsible for a pet, via a virtual NON-REAL pet, is setting them up for animal abuse?

Perhaps the problem is your like the other anti-video game hysterics out there, you worry that children can’t tell the difference between fiction and reality. When the fact is, they’re the ones unable to tell the difference between fiction and reality.

How about educating yourself, before posting more fear mongering nonsense. Gamers have more respect and empathy, then most non-gamers do. They understand the consequences of their actions if they were to take place in real life. What you need to worry about is the dumb popular social teenagers, who think drunk driving is lol.

Also, Grand Theft Auto is a game for adults, Pokemon and Tamagotchi are aimed at children. Do you realize that makes a difference? I’m probably wasting my time. I’m sure you’ll go on campaigning that video games are ruining children, and scaring parents who’s children would probably benifit from the problem solving and puzzle aspects of gaming.

At least gamers are bettering themselves by challenging themselves. Meanwhile, people like you Ronaldo, are throwing the equivalent of a two year old temper tantrum, about the boogeyman. Please, don’t talk about gaming again. It’s clear you know NOTHING about the subject.

  44. Chimchar1 says:

AKA Michael Vick the video game

  45. StongRadd says:

I look at this and have the strange urge to call you N. Is that okay, N?
