But occassionally I think about all those great free web services I use, and wonder about where do they get their money from?
Of course, by selling ad spaces and receiving payments from the advertising companies.
So I regularly turn off AdBlock, visit my favorite sites, and (here comes the best part) click on the ads that link to the LEAST liked companies. The ads won’t make me buy anything from e.g. Calvin Klein, but I know that those douchebags over there in the fashion business have just paid a few cents to support my beloved free service.
