At my office we couldn’t install Firefox, but there’s actually a portable version of it. Put it on ah USB stick, plug it in, and there y’are.

Totally agreed, I’m too using AdBlock Plus. But occassionally I think about all those great free web services I use, and wonder about where do they get their money from?
Of course, by selling ad spaces and receiving payments from the advertising companies.
So I regularly turn off AdBlock, visit my favorite sites, and (here comes the best part) click on the ads that link to the LEAST liked companies. The ads won’t make me buy anything from e.g. Calvin Klein, but I know that those douchebags over there in the fashion business have just paid a few cents to support my beloved free service.
It’s not a pay-per-click deal; the site leases out the ad space just like a magazine or newspaper does.
Some are pay per click, some are leased.
WTF – who has to wait for a page to load anymore?? Still on dial-up or what?? Pages load instantly – more like, time spent trying to click pop-ups closed, or trying to mute the talking ads…
I don’t even notice ads anymore. Pop-ups blocked is a must, but the ones on the page? Don’t even know wtf they’re for…
Pages are slow like none other to load because I’m at school, and the University is cheap on the internet

I’m on an old computer but even without it my (rural) cable internet company is slow. I spend plenty of time waiting for pages to load. This website is one of the slowest.
The only things that cause slowness:
Laptops (even though most of them are fairly fast- Im on one now)
School computers
Cheap internet
Ads with a better version of flash-player (I hate em)
Sometimes the websites server is slow, and the add server is slower.
But then that has nothing to do with the ads, right??

LMAO this mostly applies to chzbrgr network sites. Do us a favor and lose the full screen banners at the top that cover all your links blocking me from seeing other adverts on your other pages.
