That’s too bad. If only there were a method of knowing when you might encounter one of these rare obstacles in your daily commute.
Like the strange and seldom used zen practice of looking.
This graph is spooky, I’m just wondering what else someone might be doing while driving that might prevent them from noticing the upcoming railroad crossing.
Yeah, I was just thinking that the whole railroad tracks thing might be easy to catch. Missing it sounds like a personal problem…
OP’s probably just annoyed that spilling some coffee on himself kinda distracts him from his texting.
Yeah, If you don’t see the tracks maybe you should drink more coffee before you even get behind the wheel.
I was thinking about my mile long dirt driveway that I live down, it always happens that I am taking a sip when I hit a rock or puddle. There are so many that you can’t miss them all.
Exactly! This graph would have been mildly funny if it had listed things that were difficult to see like this example. As it is, I am laughing AT the graph, not with it.
Well maybe if you weren’t trying to drink from something while driving, this wouldn’t be a problem.
Crap like this always ticks me off, you’re driving a huge hunk of metal going really fast, it’s essentially a deadly weapon, and you’re to busy shoving food down your throat to pay attention to what you’re doing.
Oh and the graph sucks. If you don’t realize where railroad tracks are (by say, LOOKING) I suggest you should just try and sun tan on them like the girls in my home town did.
That didn’t turn out well.
Ok. That ‘sun tan on them’ thing really happened! I had to look that up.
Crazy.
6th!
This is why I thought you weren’t supposed to “drink and drive” when I was a kid.
Everyone was always warning me away from drinking before I knew what it meant in this context. I was afraid to go near my water and juice in case it suddenly killed me without warning.
I don’t feel so bad now..l I thought the same thing. I got all scared one when my dad got a pepsi or something while we were traveling, I told him it’s illegal to drink and drive, and my parents had to try and figure out how to explain to a little kid too young to know what alcohol was. lol
What does this youtube movie has to do with anything?
Sadly, I actually tried to take a sip of coffee before RR tracks today… AFTER I saw this graph.
I’ll keep saying this. You can’t really put different factors in a pie graph if they’re not independant. This graph doesn’t work if there are people who drive 25mph over railroad tracks (or merging onto highway or at a red light, although those won’t be so common).
I only sip at stop lights.
This led me to discover that the local coffee shop had magic cups.
Every time I took a sip, the light turned green.
Sadly, this shop went out of business. No more magic coffee for me.
Didn’t even notice the video till I saw your comment… yikes… um… guys, wtf were you thinking pairing that with a lol?
It’s called flasks.
I expected the video to be funny… But then I was like, “OH… My goodness that’s awful… O_O”
