  4. Blue2 says:

I envy you, I watched District 9 and cringe during the action parts.

  5. TGM says:

Didn’t a cat get killed by The Blob in the 80′s remake?

  6. RJ Lowe says:

Let’s not forget about “I Am Legend”, either.

  7. Stef says:

Ugh! I totally agree with this graph, but with any animal.

That scene where dude kills the cat in Boondock Saints ruined the entire movie for me. It sucks because that movie was an epic win otherwise.

    • D says:

thankfully my boyfriend knew to warn me not to watch that part. lol

    • zwenkwiel says:

      haha that was hilarious
BOOM cat splattered across the wall
if you thought that was sad there’s something wrong with you.
random cat lying around for 1 scene and you get emotionally attached to it.

      that’s like beyond emo

I have his ashes on my bookcase and not a day goes by that I don’t think of him he was a turner and hooch just such a lovable pooch just bought another poodle and he is a real sweetheart, he would like to kiss your face and give you a big hug. Claudia

  12. Minmay says:

    True… true…

I always feel bad for the dog (or cat or bird …) but I’m fine with humans being killed in awful ways.

  13. slabski says:

my family always makes fun of me when I feel bad for the dog.. made me think I was the only one..

  14. eman says:

This applies to books, too, IMO.

    • DemeterAUS says:

I agree! We had to read a book for English last year and it involved about 3 dead dogs and it made me strangely distressed… then this year we read a book about another dead dog… I think someone in the English department hates animals.

  15. Kheisa says:

My whole family was in dribbling, face-reddening tears when the dog died in I Am Legend.

And we’re always sniffly when dogs die in movies, so we just… stopped watching dog movies. My Dog Skip, Marley & Me, etc. We don’t watch them any more.

  16. keithybabes says:

No animals were harmed in the making of this graph.

  17. turtlegirl784 says:

Me asking somebody about a movie when I know there’s a dog in it: “Does the dog die?”

    R.I.P Bailey Claus

  21. Yosh says:

My cousin was in the Marines. He said that the last week of boot camp they pulled out Old Yeller to see who still had the emotion to cry at the end. I guess they wanted to make sure they didn’t make them too emotionless when confronted with death.

  22. lilpoppa says:

Nick Memphis “you cant take on these people, they’ll kill you”
Bob Lee Swagger “I have to”

Me during (main) deaths in The Green Mile:
Del: Eh, he was weird anyway.
    John: *sad face*
Mr. Jingles: (Del’s mouse. Stepped on by Percy.) NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Not Mr. Jingles!!!!!!! My favorite character!!!!! *collapses in sobbing heap*

Me during the end of Marley and Me: *sob attack* (That’s the only movie I’ve ever cried at. And I cried HARD. For like, 5 minutes straight.)

Yeah I have a thing for animals. :]
However, I admit that I did cry when my favorite (non animal) character died in my favorite book. I’ve now read it 3 times. Cried every time. I don’t take death well… -.-

  40. George says:

What is wrong with all of us?!! Even i get all teary when dogs die!
