  1. darthcircuit says:

    sad but true

  2. Newms34 says:

While this may not be “haha” funny, it’s poignantly true :/

  3. Morn says:

You would be surprised at how many people can screw up cooking te simplest of meals… I do agree on the turn signals though.

  4. nempol says:

well maybe it’s true in America… only.

  5. Caer says:

Nope, people here in the UK are just as bad at using indicators/turn signals :(

  6. Anornamoos says:

    Using color – inconceivable!

  7. FancyPants says:

Heh, you don’t live in Texas, do you GrinningColossus?

  8. Bob says:

So, they must be from Kansas….

  9. eat it. says:

    love the graph.

  10. MrNFL says:

So true. I think I hate nothing more than those who don’t use turn singals, and those who drive while talking on cell phones.

  11. HellHathNoFury says:

This adds insult to injury. I haven’t been on in days due to an accident on I-5 because some idiot driving a Coke truck decided that the right lane is now NOT for semi trucks, and you must cross four lanes without signaling, on a curve, in heavy traffic. This is the second accident I’ve been in thanks to other people not using thier signals. the first was when some dip decided it’s totally cool to make a left turn at an intersection without signaling, making the person opposite you think you are both going straight. I was taught to think that your steering wheel cannot turn without the use of the magic signal. What the hell is wrong with people?

    • HellHathNoFury says:

Wow, I’ll shut up now. I must be having a woman moment, talking on when no one wants to hear.

      • penguin_man says:

I watch the car and driver more so then the turn signal… They’re normally more accurate.

      • Aeyvi says:

no. i completely agree. i’m teaching my children that if they can’t learn to use their turn signal, they will be immediately pulled over and arrested for idiocy.
one of several ingenious ploys to keep them alive till they’re 18.

    • GrinningColossus says:

The reason I made this graph was because I bike to work and so I’m always around cars, and I am frustrated almost every day by people who don’t use their turn signals. It’d be nice for me to know which way you’re going, dude, because if you hit me I’m going to lose that fight. I have a license and I drive every once in a while and I don’t find it all that challenging, but I guess people are just too cool for turn signals, so they’d rather get in wrecks.

      • HellHathNoFury says:

Haha, you’ll be thrilled to know that I’m also a Destruction Derby Driver for the KDDA, and im forever getting flagged for grabbing for the turn signal wand, when there isnt one, and I’m TRYING to run into people! The irony…

      • Igetstabby says:

Another thing idiot drivers are too cool for, is stepping on the brake before they even swirve into the next lane to avoid the car that had the audacity to appear before them in their lane of the highway, even though they’ve had their nose up the other cars rear like dogs in heat!

      • Jadeder says:

half the time theyre too busy talking on the phone. i hate md/va/dc drivers, i dont think they teach them to use signals. but that doesnt matter, because no matter where i live theres going to be a cubic ass ton of people that dont use signals and cant friggin drive. im just gonna buy a recently converted cop car with the ram guards in front and start knocking idiots off the road!

  12. Humm says:

its treu, four coorrect speling & grammaar u has 2 be smart

  13. lazydays says:

It’s true in Belgium as well. When I saw this I just said: yes, so much yes.

  14. TurboIce says:

This is my graph, I go through so much grammar/spelling fails on the Internet my head would explode, and sometimes I believe I’m the only person on the road who knows what speed limits and turn signals are.

  15. Jay says:

    This is dumb

  16. Julie says:

I couldn’t agree more with this! My bf and I actually had a long discussion tonight about how native English (American) speakers have TERRIBLE grammar! Even GW Bush said, “IS our children learning?” WTF?! And the signaling thing, yeah, no one in NYC knows how to use their f*cking turn signals! I love it when they’re in front of me and they want to make a turn, but instead of signaling, they just stop bluntly in the middle of the road. Of course they’re going to get an earful of my horn, they could’ve caused a serious accident that’s entirely their fault!

    • Paul says:

It gets worse. Often they come to a complete stop in a traffic lane, and THEN turn on the turn signal.

Cars should be designed to explode if you do that.

      • Pax says:

I’ve been learning how to drive from my dad for about six months or so. The other day, I was angry at something and did just that in front of our house. My dad nearly reached over and smacked me in the resulting fury.
But that’s the only time I can think of, because I learned of the horror of improper turn signals when a small delivery truck very nearly ended my life on a highway entrance ramp that I was crossing. Lesson learned? Drivers suck, don’t trust them. Myself included.

      • Thalia says:

That would create Darwin Award nominees. I approve.

    • JustJacqui says:

      Isn’t English native to England?
So, technically, it should’ve just been English (American) or American English, seeing as America decided to change a bunch of words for God only knows what reason.
Regardless, people are actually losing jobs because they either write in txt language or just can’t spell.
Funny, seeing how English is the only compulsory subject in schools.

  17. thejadefalcon says:

As a proofreader, I give this my official stamp of approval. *stamps*

  18. Steve says:

So you drive around in Ohio I take it?

  19. Ben says:

I hate it when people go straight through in left or right turn only lanes.

  20. StCyr says:

I disagree. It’s not how difficult people find things like signaling and proofreading. It’s how important they think it is. Imo most people who fail to signal when they should aren’t thinking, you know, I would be signaling if I just knew how. They just don’t see the point or don’t think about it at all. Similarly, people who fail to proofread and correct their spelling/grammar just don’t care.

Interesting graph, but kinda fails on principle.

    • Chaosreaver says:

I thought the principle of the graph was to make a joke. Y so srs?

    • Mrdahut says:

and your right i really dont care. in fact i kinda get a little nit of joy inside when i know the grammar nazi’s amd spelling police are apolectic when they see ,y post.

  21. gipoun says:

I had a woman try and run through an orange light with her blinker on. Thinking she was turning I started to turn too, and she almost killed me. Then she looked at me like I was an idiot.

  22. Mrdahut says:

IN NY we dont use blinkers becuase we dont want to give away our actions to all the idiots on the road.

  23. Gonny says:

I’m always told I use my turn signal TOO much. I’m not sure how that’s possible, since I turn them on at least half a block before turning, in a turn only lane, and at least 5 seconds before changing lanes. I don’t drive around with it on for funsies.

  24. ray says:

    what is a turn signal

  25. ray says:

    what is a turn signal?

  26. ClariPossum says:

How about people who have their signal on and are going straight? Almost got in a wreck once that way. I was turning left, the opposite car (truck) had his right blinker on, so I started to turn. He didn’t. And he looked at ME like I was the idiot!
