  1. Alcari says:

This could have been an excellent Venn diagram.

  2. tr069 says:

    … + (-1 Kitten)

  3. GazUtd says:

You see if you had a National Health Service you would not have had to pay that medical bill.
Also if you didn’t have a cat you would have more sense, stupid animals!

    • Shadow Adler says:

Curse you! Beat me to it!

    • SuiXide says:

You’re right. All his neighbors would. Tax dollars at work!

      • Mazz says:

And when your neighbour’s house burns down, doesn’t it just piss you off that that’s YOUR tax dollars being spent putting HIS fire out?

      • CaptJnet says:

Trust me, as a Canuck it’s worth the tax dollars. It all balances out. I pay out of my taxes for my neighbours broken arm and he pays for my boyfriend’s emergency room visit for a severe asthma attack. It pays my doctor for a visit to check out my ear infection and for my friend’s pre-natal visits. Really you’re pretty much paying for your own medical care as much as your neighbours. It gives great piece of mind knowing that if you get badly sick or injured and have to go to emergency you don’t have to even stop to consider if you have enough money available to pay for the visit. You just show up and hand them a little plastic card and get the care needed. Period.

    • Meowth says:

I am not stupid. I am smarter than you. I take offense to your insult and offer you mine in its place.

      • ErmineStoat says:

I think it’s safe to say that most people are smarter than GazUtd. Cats are amazing, intelligent, and great animals that will one day take over the world. Refusing to be a cat’s pet offends them, and insulting them at that! I believe it likely that GazUtd will get a good punishment for calling animals stupid.

        P.S. Nice name

    • Wolfy says:

      “Stupid?”

  4. frostfox says:

Max bit me when I had owned him for three hours.
One cat bite = Two days in hospital, twelve hours IV antibiotics, one operation under general anaesthetic, one week on oral antibiotics, two weeks off work and six weeks physio.
All with no medical bill, thank you NHS.

    • Lili says:

So, your Max is venomous? A new breed that injects bacteria? In fact not a domestic but a half-bred Burmese Tiger?

That’s some cat bite; I’m surprised that he was released to you as any sort of a pet, if he was capable of inflicting that much damage and that un-socialised to do it.

      • WikiLady says:

Cat bites can be fatal – all cats have a particular bacteria in their mouths that can cause a massive infection. My cat, who has been easygoing and docile for 8 years, bit me when she was startled by a slamming door while I was brushing her teeth. 4 days in the hospital, two surgeries, 6 weeks IV antibiotics. From a single cat bite.

Maggie knew that she’d done something wrong, too – she hid under the bed for nine hours.

All animals are capable of biting in the right (wrong?) circumstances.

      • frostfox says:

Hard to type, he’s sat on my lap!

He was scared by the boiler coming on, in new house, not really his fault (I sound like the abused girlfriend, I know!)

Just 19lbs of mostly domestic grey tabby.

    • Bueller says:

Yeah, if Max did that to me, I’d only own him 3 hours too.

      • frostfox says:

I did consider sending him back, but we mad cat women are called that for a reason, though I must admit, I assumed it was me that was supposed to be mad, not the cat.

His previous owners got rid of him because he ate too much. I’d assumed they meant cat food, not members of the family…

  5. Wild Bill Hiccup says:

    1 kitten + 1 shiny thing + 1 pitbull = (-1) kitten

  6. GHM says:

What in the hell does this even mean?

    • n8 says:

      Comprehension fail…

    • MLD says:

God, and I thought I was slow to get things at times.

      1. Kittens (presumably) like shiny things. (mine prefer pens and wadded up paper, but whatever).
      2. Graph maker likes shiny things on her neck (you necklaces, that sort of thing)
      3. Kitten goes after shiny on graph maker’s neck and causes trip to hospital. (And dang that’s a cheap ER bill!!)

      Get it? Got it? Good.

  7. tdwprulezd00d says:

if that really happened to you, that would make a good FML on fmylife.com =D

  8. Kusti says:

Woah.. Cat bites can be fatal? My cat, Felix bites me at least 7 times everyday (He is old and senile so he really does it without realising) and i’m not dead..?

    • Only if you have a compromised immune system or are severely allergic to cat saliva. I was a vet tech for a long time and before that I grew up with cats, so even the worst cat bite heals within a day or two on me. (Or I should say, heals enough that I can stop wearing a bandaid after a day or two). But I have known people who ended up in the hospital from even a mild cat bite.

      • frostfox says:

He bit deep into my finger, deep enough to get air into the joint. I went to the docs the next day (had cats all my life, had loads of cat bites/scratches) and got antibiotics but when the hand started to swell and the red lines showed, knew it was time for the big guns.
Popped into emergency on my lunchtime, expected them to lance it there and then, rather a surprise to find myself hooked up to an IV with an operation in my future.
They took it very seriously, of course, it was my left hand and I am very left handed and an artist, so I’m glad they did.

He bit the neighbour about a week after hospitalizing me, but that was the neighbours fault, he was trying to break up a cat fight, I did warn him not to.

But he has very soft paws, he never scratches.

His collar says ‘Max-he bites’ but of course, by the time you are close enough to read it…

  9. M4ce says:

This isn’t even a graph. If you can send it in a text message, it’s not a graph.

  10. siteinsights says:

If a cute cuddly kitten can send you to the emergency room… You might want to add some more iron to your diet.

  11. flutie says:

toast + cat = anti gravity

  12. Zib says:

Hey nice graph. Oh wait, it isn’t one. Wrong site but… FAIL!

  13. Graham says:

    NHS win!

  14. XZDrake says:

This would not be true in Canada, here

Shiny things + Neck + Kitten = Free emergency room and one dead cat.

    • Meowth says:

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! Don’t hurt the Kitty! I will avenge you, poor kitty. I will avenge you if it is the last thing I do!

  15. Arek says:

in your graff i see that kitten=my neck

  16. vmp says:

$400 isn’t even that expensive for an ER bill.

  17. PencilSharpener says:

Who goes to the ER for a cat wound? Wussies.

  18. Glynnis says:

    Most likely made with experience.

  19. Paul says:

    if
shiny thing + kitten = yay
    and
shiny thing + my neck = yay
    then
    shiny thing = 0

    and apparently:
    $400 emergency bill = 2*yay.

and the neck and the kitten are the same …

    rather unlikely ^^
