Um, correct me if I’m wrong… but isn’t the Senate part of Congress? Senators ARE congressmen, so this is very redundant.
Although the Senate and Congress are both considered “Houses of Congress,” Senators are not referred to as Congressmen.
Why not? Shouldn’t Representatives just be Representatives and Senators be Senators and they’re both congressmen? This is a flaw in the English language.

The Senate and the House of Representatives are the “houses of Congress.” Senators and Representatives ARE referred to as Congressmen collectively, or their individual names, respectively. High school civics class fail.
But as a matter of usage, the term “Congressman” refers to members of the House of Representatives in particular. I agree that it’s unclear at first, but then you get used to the distinction.

I should do a graph. it’ll be called “how much I care about politics”, and stuff like “their party, what they promise, scandals, ect.” will be really low down, and “whether or not they’re funny” will be really high up.
I did not need money or votes to get elected. Everyone knows I was not truly elected to anything, since, I could not be, having been born in Kenya and all.
