  1. Hope says:

Speaking as a girl who plays with her husband……

    lol it’s true.

    • Gwailo says:

me too! of the guild i am in (which my husband belonged to first), at least half of the very few females are in it with their boyfriend/husband/etc.

    • Bah says:

I was originally in neither category- although my boyfriend plays with me now, in the beginning it was just me. I am also the leader of my raiding guild.

For the record, I play a male dwarf on my main. Not because I don’t want people to know I am female (they pick it up pretty quickly), but just because I like the character.

And contrary to the opinion of my male gamer friends, not all women who play without their husbands are fat chicks. My RL job is as a personal trainer. :)

      • Bah says:

PS: Also, when people do catch on that I am female, I am constantly drilled about why I chose a male toon. It’s odd, because nobody blinks twice when it’s a male playing a female toon.

        • Morn says:

It’s not odd at all. Please refer to the blue portion of the chart…. Now what’s YOUR excuse?…

          • Bah says:

It’s not odd that I play a male toon- it’s odd that women are questioned for playing out of gender while men aren’t.

For my excuse, see above. ^

    • Crystal Kyuketsuki says:

I don’t think this graph is so true.

I played alone and openly admitted to being female on the game.

I mean NOW my BF plays with me, but earlier that wasn’t so.

      • Greymoya says:

Same here….been playing over a year, started on my own, still play on my own. I don’t hide that I’m a girl, and neither do any of the girls in my guild.

Also, the blue area should be MUUUUUCH bigger :)

      • Cat says:

I wish I could get my boyfriend to play, but he’s more of a rainbow six kind of guy.
I also openly admit to being a female and I am not or ugly, although when playing openly as a girl in rl you do have fend off men sometimes.

    • KT says:

green part should definatly be bigger :P

    • Liz (einya on WoW) says:

yup… i play with hubby as well…. i started because he wanted me to, and i got majorly hooked! LOL it is SOOO an addiction!

  2. Nick R. Bocker says:

Guys that pretend to be girls so they can get free stuff from male admirers.

    • Dok says:

Much more true than the original blue category. Actually guys with female characters doesn’t necessarily pretend they girls.

      • Bah says:

They don’t all pretend to be girls, in fact, from my experience most of them don’t.

But sometimes they still get gifts when they are *mistaken* for girls, regardless of whether that was their intention. I have a friend that started a female gnome and got given soooo much free stuff because people assumed it was a female player, and then he would be like, ‘thanks, mate’- that would make the gift givers so mad!

        • Athanar says:

I played an MMO and met someone who needed help and was a girl character. (“She” stumbled into the wrong area and the creatures aggro’d.) I helped “her” and we started talking. That’s something he mentioned – A lot of people thought he was a girl because of it! (I never got beyond level 20, it was just a level 5 or something in an area around my level.)

    • Rebecca says:

Yeah, I knew some guys who “prostituted” their female characters in wow. Some made most of their gold doing lap dances, even if the guys knew the person playing was a guy. They also did cyber for ingame gold.

  3. Todd says:

WoW is for nerds. You’re all wusses.

Any woman want a real man, look me up.

    • Gwailo says:

i have dated men like you – and that is why i DID choose a real man – strong, sexy, caring, helpful and not at all self centered like many wannabe “real” men. oh yeah, and he he plays WoW.

      • Tom says:

I found it refreshing that there are occasionally intelligent people on the internet.

While not a WoW player myself, I do at least try to suppress my opinion (Each to their own and all that). Though I would recommend EVE Online for those seeking a more intellectual MMO

        • aikisenshi says:

I tried EVE, for about a week or so. I was kind of getting into it, I had built up some money, upgraded my ship to one that was pretty cool looking, and had the startings of a business empire; and then I accidentally made a wrong turn when travelling to pick up some goods and had everything I had done in the past week get erased in 2 seconds by some guy who was blowing up every ship that passed him by.

I’m sorry, but having an entire week’s worth of play nullified in 2 seconds is not my idea of fun.

    • papajon says:

Anyone woman looking for a guy that keeps recycling the same joke look Todd up.

    • Elfking says:

You say “nerd” like it’s a bad thing.

    • Paz says:

I knew someone would troll about WoW and unfortunatly you’ve made no impact to anyone quitting, you have accomplished NOTHING in saying that, epic fail.

    • forge says:

Man wot kin drive a 6-inch spike through a mahogany board with his erect member here, and hardcore (hehe) WoW player, along with my hot Venezuelan wife. = )

  4. cyberskull says:

I was firmly in the blue when I played WoW.

Xoë, sexiest undead warrior in all of Hyjal!

  5. Doodoo says:

Either way they are all weirdos.

  6. Pink_Panzer says:

‘Scuse me while I let this bee out of my bonnet – I’ve often been suspicious of why a guy would make a male character … what straight man would want to watch some hairy man’s butt for hours on end when he can watch some warrior-gal in an armoured mini-skirt running uphill or a female archers’ bosom jiggling when she uses a bow?!

I’ve been gaming for 26 years, online for 12, and it STILL annoys me that people think a gamer is trying to pretend to be a girl in real life if they make a female character. It’s puerile. I don’t have long purple hair in real life – does that mean i’m mis-representing myself? No.

Guys who fall for the idiots pretending to be female players just show themselves as immature – a real female player normally won’t let on what sex she is because she know that’s just opening herself up to a lot of grief, unwanted comments and even cyber requests. Usually she won’t accept help/itamz due to pride in being as good, if not better than, the male players.

At least this sort of behaviour is not so prevalent in FPS’s.

But what would I know, women over 40 don’t play computer games…

    • zippycat says:

LOL… I’m almost 40, and I plan on playing computer games long after that fateful day….

My husband also plays, and he made male toons. He sees plenty of the real thing here at home, so why would he need to watch a cartoon version of it? ;)

      • Genzie says:

Yeah exactly. My husband does not play female toons, and I have to wonder about those who do… Is it because they don’t get enough or any at home?

      • Celexxa says:

I’m over 40, and much more of a gamer than my husband- who has a 50/50 mix of male and female toons. He started playing WoW to play with ME, not the other way around! :P

        • Raszy says:

My hubby got me to play WoW. He only has one female toon. The rest are male. Majority of my toons are female with the exception of my Undead Rogue.

    • Nash says:

Because I don’t care about staring at virtual butts. I’m playing a game, not looking at porn. Gaming is not a sexual activity, therefore the gender and attractiveness of butts are irrelevant.

I prefer male characters because I’m male and because female characters are often moronically underdressed with armor only covering the breasts and whatnot, sacrificing immersion and challenging suspension of disbelief for the benefit of people like you who play it with one hand.

      • Johnnycomelately says:

        QFT ^^^

I’d also add that the character I play determines the gender of my toon. A female undead shadow priest just seems right to me, whereas my tauren prot warrior is a male.

        /shrug

      • staridragon says:

Wow, people get very huffy on a general joke site about a chart describing a game. I’d be offended instead of laughing had I took this site or WOW seriously (and I’ve been playing for nearly two years).

I ought to mention that this chart was made as a result of a rather funny discussion on trade chat that resulted in me getting several marriage proposals (which resulted in even more hilarity). I will also mention that while, yes I should have put an ‘other’ category I find it funny as is (mostly because I myself have played both male and female toons, so this chart was intentionally bashing myself).

Oh, and I’m a girl. Single under 25 girl, which I admit makes some of these comments that were trying to be offensive rather hilarious (my co-workers were wondering why I was laughing so hard!)

      • forge says:

I know, the bare-midriff death-knight armor is pretty comical.

    • Dina says:

My girlfriend is a lesbian. She plays male toons about half the time. YMMV.

    • Sunny says:

I’m pretty sure I played Mythos with you ;-)

    • cj says:

I am 51 and I have both a WoW and a DAoC account. Don’t know where you get that women over 40 don’t play computer games. I have been a gamer since Atari!

    • forge says:

My wife is WHAP! Honey, stop hitting!! Okay, she’s um, thirty-nine, yeah that’s the ticket, and she’s a bigger addict than I am…

  7. Taaroko says:

They left out the section for girls who *would* play as male characters in order to look at them the entire time they play, except that the only race worth doing that with is blood elves, and they’re almost too effeminate to count. All of the other males look like they’ve been on steroids (or they’re Gnomes, Dwarves, Orcs, Trolls, Tauren, or Undead). Pity body type isn’t one of the modifiers during character design.

    • Allie says:

I liked the male blood-elves before they changed them from cuties- to football players.

      • forge says:

You can get variations; some look like that good looking kid that mows your lawn every Saturday; others yeah, the self-impressed quarterback, and of course the ones that look like they’ll be doing a drag show in a couple of years.

  8. pamcakez says:

    I’m in the green!

  9. zippycat says:

I’m in the green, but I’m the one that brought WoW home to play with my hubby. That has to count for something. :)

I also get hit on in-game, even when people know I’m married… rawr!!

    • aikisenshi says:

Um, yeah, ’cause Vin Diesel is ugly and a looser, and so are all the guys from My Chemical Romance, Brandon Routh (Superman in the new movie), and who knows who else… a group of over 8 milllion people can’t ALL be ugly loosers.

  10. Kosmic says:

Women over 40 don’t play computer games? Really? Over 40 and in the red camp. Suck it.

  11. Yuval says:

Oh. My. God. This is bad on so many levels.
Either you’re breaking down girl characters and then the red part doesn’t belong, or you’re breaking down girl players in which case the blue part shouldn’t be there. Also, if it’s a pie chart you can’t call it “the amount of…”!!! Haven’t you heard of bar charts?
    Sheesh.

    • fuze says:

When I see “red camp” and “blue camp” I was thinking Horde and Alliance rather than the graph above.

      Has male/female toons. Horde!

      Except a female Draenei DK.

      /waggle

  12. Gemma says:

I used to play wow and i’m not any of these. I played before my boyfriend did and he used to tease me for it. Then he decided he’d play so I stopped haha.

  13. SammehDee says:

Definitely in the red for me. :D

  14. Gomebike says:

I play with my fiance too! His work schedule changed so I joined a new guild to raid, I had to change my gender and I never speak on vent so that the guys would leave me alone!

There should be one more part- attention whoring skanks, you know ‘em. The ones that post their myspace all over the guild website, forums, and trade..

    • Abby says:

That category should def be added. I just booted a chick from my guild b/c that’s all she would do! Just spam guild chat with her MySpace and her Amazon account saying that she would “cyber for treats”
      WEIRDO!!!

  15. papajon says:

I found one guy on WoW trying to “lure” female players into a bedroom in one of the inns when he tried that on my wife’s character. Surpise when he found out it was me at the time!! I gave him some serious verbal justice and since he failed to stop I reported him.

And here’s my PSA: Don’t ever give out any personal info unsecurely on-line in game or wherever on the net. Be VERY careful on Facebook etc, especially you women and young folks. There’s no need to put yourself into a bad spot. I’ve seen it happen to a few folks already.

That said, the women gamers are some the funniest folks in WoW, IMHO.

    • Mary says:

I had some guy “lure” me in by offering to pay my night elf to dance naked. He didn’t even want to “talk.” So, I /danced and went AFK. It was… strange…

Oh, and I’m in the red camp. Though, it’s hard to hide your voice in Vent and I have guildies who are convinced that I’m smokin’ hot and get all excited when I log on. So sad…

      • Jam says:

I’m proud to be a female gamer. I don’t fit into any of the categories above. I don’t mind getting hit on at all, and I’m not stupid enough to give out my personal info, nor do I have any qualms about confronting someone who is too annoying, or blocking them if need be.

The way I see it, if people want to give me things because my toon is a girl, I’m all for it. 5g for dancing naked for one minute? Thank you, sucka!

I’ve had people walk up and hand me hundreds of gold for absolutely no reason, except that I’m a girl, and I look like I need help. If people want to power level me for free because I’m a “helpless” girl, why not? All I have to do in a dungeon is *mention* how much gold I need to get my epic flyer, and I’ll have at least one person offering to pay for the rest.

I’m using the system to my advantage, and I am not ashamed!

      • Bah says:

Yeah… I’ve had people try to pay me gold to perve on my toon too. What the? Isn’t there plenty of *real* porn on the internet, or do mommy and daddy block it? It’s just sad…

  16. uhh says:

what about girls who are fat and slightly retarded that pretend to be tiny and cute? or is that a whole other pie chart altogether?

  17. lavuair says:

You are right on, Eliria. Waving boobies (and other body parts) around is how some women approach everything in life. Unfortunately, they get away with it way too often and leave a path of destruction behind them.

    • lolrat says:

      mmmmm, in the end

    • Allie says:

yeah. They need an extra part of that graph that is-
“Females who play WOW and make sure EVERYONE they encounter knows they are.”
Too many times I have run into girls who speak super breathy on vent, or make sexual innuendo all the time, for some odd reason.

  18. Siku says:

Using the “If you aren’t a girl IRL, you cant make a female toon” argument can be countered by “If you aren’t a Night Elf IRL, you cant make a NElf toon” (Can be considered for any non-human race, in any game)

Also,i really don’t see male toons, that are normally strong and muscular, cast healing spells or do any kind of Cloth-wearing spellcasters, it just…doesn’t work.

    • Mkay says:

Wait, so your argument is.. ‘You can make a toon anyway you want to!’ and then you turn around and say ‘Beefy Guys can’t do clothy healy stuff’??!…Whut?

      • Siku says:

My argument is more, “Don’t think that stuff in a game is the same IRL”.
        The rest is personal opinion.

    • forge says:

I have a midlevel priest who is an enormous dark-skinned demigod with close-cropped hair and a permanent scowl. = )

      • DamascSt says:

Rofl, love it. Firmly part of the “green” piece, although I raid more than my boyfriend does right now. I have one or two male characters, but most of mine are female (including my DK, rogue and warrior, tyvm, as well as the more “feminine” clothies mage, priest, and warlock). I might also add that my fiance’s priest is a spindly male undead. I lead raids, I am a big part of our guild, and I know how to play. Gotta love stereotypes. :p

  19. devilwoman says:

lol i’m the one who got my boyfriend into the game.

  20. Benny says:

Over 50 and in the red camp. Think on that one.

  21. Third Reighn says:

    G.I.R.L
    guy in real life

sad part, i’ve had some voice over internet flirt sessions my self during my wow time.

  22. zainie says:

I’m a girl playing girl toons but usually just say i’m a dude.. i’ve had way too many whispers from 15 year old boys >< dnw

  23. Felora says:

Heheh…I’m a WoW addict as well. I’m sitting firmly in the red category. The whole point is that it’s a GAME. It’s fantasy and you can make any character you want. On a side note, did anyone notice that the night elves dance like strippers and Mages do the Macherena? just a thought…LOL

    • Doc says:

All their dances except, y’know, the macherena, are based off of popular music figures’ actual dances. Very interesting. ;)

I think maybe they had ‘Caramelldansen’ in mind when they made the bear dance.

    • Greymoya says:

It’s not based on class, it’s based on race/gender. Human females do the Macarena. Tauren females do the Electric Slide, blood elf females do the Britney Spears dance from Toxic, etc.

    • forge says:

It’s gender and race-based. Female nightelves’ dance is taken from a (terribly cute) French disco artist named Alizee. Male humans are directly taken from Travlota in “Saturday Night Fever.” Male bloodelves do the stupefyingly comical dance from “Napoleon Dynamite.” Male nightelves are riffing heavily on Michael Jackson. The chick bloodelf dance is from Britney Spears’ “Toxic” video, which explains why it’s so exceedingly *white*. Grin. Nightelf druids in Moonkin form dance like Chris Farley when he was riffing a Chippendales dancer (which was beyond shadow of a doubt his funniest moment ever). In Tree form they do the Twist. Male orcs do the Hammer Dance. Female dwarves Riverdance. Human females Macarena. I appreciate that human females have hips. Oops, that was supposed to remain untyped. Where was I? Male trolls are based on the Brazilian martial art capoera. Pretty sure troll females are Shakira. I think Draenei females are too. Oh the booty.

Er. Orc females are something from the hip-hop world, possibly “Back Dat Azz Up” by Tai Mai Shu. I still think undead males are the awesomest, they appear to be taken from a heavy-metal video, possibly Pantera or Metallica. Undead females are a bellydance.

Male Tauren are the Peanut Butter Jelly Time dance. Female Tauren do the Electric Slide. That’s all I can think of. Thank you goodnight.

  24. steve says:

    you forgot fat chicks

  25. Ellie says:

Not fair. I play Guild Wars because -I- want to play.

  26. Doc says:

    I’m in the red. >.>

  27. Sarah says:

I play WoW and I don’t fall into any of these categories. There needs to be a fourth one.

  28. Miroku says:

    Why WoW?

This is partly true for any MMO on the market.

  29. B says:

This is so true. Especially the red. I don’t see guys w/ female characters as much, but if they were smart, they would use females. Heck, I like having a male character to stare at more than I like staring at female characters =D

And getting hit on over the net/in an online match via PS or whatever is just freakin’ irritating.

  30. Mande says:

lawlz. I’m not on this chart. I’m actually a female who plays a female and proudly admits it. :D

    • aikisenshi says:

Ditto. I don’t hide anything, and sometimes correct people if they refer to me (the player) as ‘he’. Most of the time they’ll then say “Cool” or “oh, me too”. Though being the only female in a 10-man pick-up raid does have it’s benefits, I can call out for help or something and no one has to say “who was that?”

      • Greymoya says:

SO true, lol. I used to be the only girl in my guild and everyone knew who I was when I spoke in Vent; I recently joined another guild that usually has 3-4 gals in the raids. I keep forgetting to specify who I am when I have to call out something.

It’s worth it having some other women to talk to though.

  31. Negathle says:

Poorly made graph, since guys that play female toons are not female gamers.

I wish I could move from the green to the red, since my husband stopped playing, but alas, Vent betrays all.

  32. holly says:

My demographic: Female that plays a male character when I don’t want to get hit on.

It blows people’s minds when they hear my voice. They assume I’m a 12 year old boy, never crosses their minds that a female would play a dude toon.

    • Bah says:

Haha, it’s funny how people will invent any explanation other than that you are a girl.

My partner and I run a guild, but both have male toons. When new guildies find out that we’re together, they assume we are a gay couple- because gays are soooo much more common than women. :P

  33. tr069 says:

    Hey!
Guys who pretend to be girls are NOT girls!!!

  34. Rose says:

I’m a girl who plays and sometimes admits it :p Actually, I got my Fiance’ to sign up for our 3 year anniversary… we played and ate pizza rolls… very nerdy romantic!

  35. Chibi says:

Guilty of being in the red (female player playing male charas)! I hate when people hit on me and I’m trying to tank some instance (but I don’t play WOW XD) or something along the lines. I wanna play, damnit, not find an online b/f who’ll dump me for the next pretty character that comes walking by.

In fact I’ve come down to even pretending I’m a gay guy while I’m a straight girl. Drives MOST guys away and MOST girls away (although I do get hit on sometimes). To the gay guys hitting on me, I tell then I’m a relationship ^^. It’s been REALLY effective XD.

And I have to admit – I find male characters more attractive than the female ones. The females ones I have currently are either because of some looks and armors I like, or because I don’t have a choice but like the gameplay.

  36. Ela says:

I’m one of the few females who are not included on this chart. I am a girl, who plays girls characters, and usually admits that I’m a girl. But I refuse to put up with crap from the stupid ones out there. Oh, and just because they have a female toon doesn’t mean they always pretend to be a girl, or they don’t always to it for the visual pleasure. I’ve known guys that pretend to be girls just to get nice stuff from guys (which really does happen a lot…)

  37. greatslack says:

A pie chart on GraphJam without any wildly exaggerated slices? Heresy!!

  38. Lio says:

so true…i didnt mention i was female until i realised one day it meant i was more likely to get phat epics in raids…and then discovered to my aggrivation ‘girl’s are supposed to heal’ so i left the server and stayed shadow lol <3

  39. xM. says:

I play WoW because I like to play WoW..
Where teh hell is that point made in teh graph, hmm?

Myself iz a warrior nightelf, I know, an ELF, it’s girlie. My other warrior is a Tauren. Don’t judge.

    • Raven says:

I don’t fit on the chart, as funny as it is. I am a woman, my toons are all female. I started playing because my sons thought I would enjoy the game, not to play with an S.O… All my friends and guildies know I am female. No one cares if you play well enough.

  40. Riss says:

My boyfriend and I started playing WoW at the same time. I didn’t join because of him, we joined because we BOTH wanted to play. I prefer pairing up with someone when I’m out adventuring, though I’ll solo occasionally too.

I only play female characters, and have no problem admitting I’m female. I don’t get special stuff nor do I want it. I like to earn what I get.

  41. Guen says:

You forget the 2% of us that play cause we actually like it!!! LOLZ!!!!

  42. Kali says:

I dunno… I played WoW seriously long before my fiance did and would continue to play even if he quit. Doesn’t mean I don’t make him run my alts through every dungeon imaginable though :D

  43. Alicia Jewel says:

I’m in the green. xD My boyfriend got me to play, and I love it. :D

  44. Emma-Hart says:

Hey I’m a girl WoW gamer and I don’t fall under any of those. I play because I like to play the game, thats it.

  45. Ella says:

    i’m one of the red ones…. q.q

  46. pbean says:

It’s not funny because it’s not true.

  47. ai says:

True. I’m a gal who plays as a guy coz it’s easier and hassel free. And, no, not many people have caught on yet.

  48. Yali says:

They’re should be a section for “Girls that use being female to their advantage to get free stuff”.

The majority of my characters were girls (I’m a girl). The first 4 I leveled up were all female, then I leveled up a male character, then a female again.
I’ll admit I did get quite a lot of free stuff on my first character from my guild leader, I never intended for it to happen, it just did. I don’t even recall making a point I was a girl, I was just in the guild with people I knew in real life and they had told everyone.
Although it was quite fun that people were quite shocked if they ever found out I was a girl. Even my raiding guild later on that I was in for over a year got slightly shocked if I decided to speak on Vent haha.

  49. PommieGirl says:

Firstly, I started playing first then got my bf into it. Secondly, 99% of my toons are female, probably because I’m a girl so I guess subconsciously I want to project I’m a girl. When I first started playing, people just assumed I was a dude (which I thought odd), but I noticed that once they learned I was a girl, they were actually nicer and friendlier! lol Ya, sometimes I get a little unsolicited flirting coming my way. Sometimes I respond, sometimes I just /shy. lol But one thing I’ve definitely learned from playing WoW- you can’t assume someone is the same sex as the toon theyre playing. lol Oh yea..and one last thing. Even though I play mainly Alliance, I do have a few Horde toons and the male blood elves are HOT! HOT HOT HOT!!!!! Don’t care if they’re effeminate – THEY’RE HOOOOOOTT!!!! (About time Blizzard put in some eye-candy for us girls!) ‘Nough said.

I have a male belf alt in a ripped oger lion cloth.

When I’m having a bad day, I’ll log on and just watch him dance for a while. Makes me happy. ^^ I’m soooooo easy to please!

      • Pommiegirl says:

OMG what a great idea! Now I’m gonna have to troll the ah for that armor piece. (I know which one it is…my female pally is wearing it right now.lol)

        • Pommiegirl says:

Oh…and just a visual…I’ve seen that loin cloth armor piece on a male Tauren – almost fell outta my chair! lmfao!

  50. Eduardo says:

What about me? Im a guy who is a guy, not a guy who is a guy that pretends he is a chick. I should be in the graph jam thing too!

  51. Gen says:

I still get hit on even playing with my husband wtf!

  52. Lindsay says:

But within the blue category you also have:
Girls playing as female characters who say “Um, I’m a dude” when they get hit on. XD

  53. Jenn says:

true, oh so very true. but there are some girls, like me, who if they are called a dude will say that they are female, but once they start acting like an ass, I’ll just leave. But i have once said i was a dude when someone was hitting o me. They got really freaked out xD

  54. Mera says:

Dno i play wow and i’m a girl but i don’t play because of/with a bf, i’m not rly a guy and i do tell ppl that i’m a girl. Many times i’ve been called a guy or man and i always correct those ppl. and the’res even a pic of me on the pic thread on the realm forums. sooo ye.

  55. riot says:

as a girl that plays, even if you say u are a girl, they still dont believe it. i just keep to my friends and bf in the game.

    • Adam says:

Oops! You forgot the girls that play WoW and remind everyone of their gender with HeHe’s and <3 :* so that they get attention :P

  56. amarygma says:

You forgot ATTENTION WHORES- the girls that go on there JUST so guys hit on them and they feel special.

    • Casa says:

It’s like shooting horny fish in a very small barrel!

not so much fun because they are flirting with me, I don’t givea crap about that. It’s MUCH more fun to pit them aginst eachother….

I used to just game and do my thing… then I noticed that guys will do pretty much anything for a chick. I’m alwayes set for gear and never have to look far for a raiding party.

      /smug

  57. Deven says:

That’s why I joined a GLBT guild. I can tell them I’m a girl, and they’re all like, “That’s cool.”

  58. Kreth says:

The sad part though, if you’ll notice, there is no “single girl playing wow who isnt insane or manipulative and doesnt weigh more than most of the male players in your guild” because those women will never exist

    • Phoenix says:

Have no idea where you are, but I’ve been in 3-4 different guilds with plenty of gorgeous, single women.

Plenty of guys play video games who are pretty damn hot, so why do you assume single girl gamers are butt ugly? If that’s your only experience, you need to get out more.

  59. Neitherworld says:

The red part is true for me for most games (I use my friends computer for WoW)

  60. Amy says:

I’ve been playing WoW for three years. I’m actually a girl playing a female toon, and have had very few guys hit on me.

However, most of the female toons are played by guys…I’ll give you that much. :/

  61. KenshinTW says:

lol, I play wow with my GF, and sometimes I also play on an alternate character, usually a blood elf, a female, it is good to the economy, I just have to ask for money and lots of other guys give me gold just cause they think Im a girl

  62. MisterDisco says:

The reason I got WoW was because my (now Ex) GF made me play it. XP

  63. Jenny says:

I play wow, yes my husband plays it, but we don’t play ‘together’ I have female characters though cos i dont like the look of the males..

  64. Diamont says:

    #1 rule of online gaming:
    A. All men are men
    B. All women are men
    C. All 15-year-old girls are FBI agents.

  65. Gregoire says:

Dude… I roll a little female gnome mage… some dude gave me 300g for no reason. It was sweet, but I was a little disappointed.
I think I sounded like a girl to most of the guildies and peeps I encounter cause they got confused when I went on Vent or Voicechat in groups.
I like being a gnome cause kickin pvp ass feels so much more satisfying when you look like a 5 year old girl. Girls are pretty cool.
    …trust me, it’s not about the butt…

  66. Kara says:

I started playing on my boyfriend’s account. I liked it so much that I went out and bought it for myself and now I play it all the time. Aww yeah, Blood Elves!

  67. Alex says:

I think that “Guys pretending to be girls” should be wider.

  68. Elise says:

What about the wow-whores graph segment?

The ones that go /2 “Hey I’m a girl!! I have boobies!!1 hehehehe” in an attempt to fish for equally desperate and socially challenged males.

    They’re everywhere >.>

  69. Xivia says:

    Girls don’t play wow.

  70. Wormwood says:

Very, very true. I started playing when a female friend told me I could play a troll. AWESOME.
Then I got the husband on board. His toons are all female, mine are all male, and I never tell anyone I’m female. None of the girls in our guild do. We pugged a druid a couple weeks ago, and as soon as he heard us on vent, he got SUPER creepy.

Dear fourteen year old boys. Keep it in your pants. We do not want to be your ‘internet girlfriend’.

  71. autumngerfen says:

    heheh

I don’t fit in that chart. I’m female, play a female character, don’t hide it, and don’t get hit on. But I still find the chart amusing.

    • Heldor says:

ditto on all counts, when I do on occasion get hit on I just ignore it- not like I’m hanging around in city chat long enough for it to affect me!

  72. AlyenBird says:

When I first started I was in the red part of the graph. I made and played a male character. Then I realized that most people just automatically assumed I was a guy regardless of my toon. So now I have a whole lot of female characters, and I havent been hit on yet.

  73. Xanana says:

I’m not on that chart as well. I’m a girl who plays girl characters and rarely gets hit on. Very amusing, though!

  74. **** says:

OMG When I played (only about a month cuz I got kinda sick of it) my first day I had this guy that was basically stalking me with my bf right there with me. It was sooo creepy. =P

  75. Nikki says:

I play with my husband now but when I started I was alone – and played male characters mostly. When I began playing with my brother I moved onto female ones. I didn’t intend to hide my gender but I did find it better to, unless I knew people well. Some guys can be creepy online, not so much with hitting on me, but acting weird and self-concious and grilling me on why I would play a male troll. Cos he’s hot, that’s why.

    • daisyisawiener says:

right on, sistah! trolls are way hot. i find the male humans to be rather repulsive, what with their facial expressions and disproportionate muscles… O.o rofl

  76. daisyisawiener says:

oh darn, look at all these comments… doubt mine’ll ever get read…

i started playin WoW when i was like… what? 6, i think? anyways,it was long time ago (well, not really) and a just got my BF to start about a month ago.

and ROFL whaddaya know? he made a female paladin human. hm… i dont exactly approve of his choice, especially because the paladins’ armor shows a lot o’ skin (female ones: if it were the males that showed skin i would make more of them)

But i thought it was hilarious when my dad made a female dwarf paladin… what with their plump and stocky figures and all that revealing armor… xD good times…

but i dont think you can just classify all these “female-playing-males” into just 1 category.

but i liked the graph :D
was fun to read and made me lol xD

  77. Wakko says:

Hey if your gonna be playing a game where you’re staring at your characters ass then entire time why not make it a girl?

  78. Krystal says:

Oh my Goodness red is soo my color:) hahah

  79. Lily May says:

You forgot one! “Girls who say they are girls but nobody believes them”. Which is me. And two other girls I guilt-tripped into joining.

  80. Professor says:

Red part is pretty true. Not that big though. ALSO – left the part of the pie chart out that says, “girls that can’t play well and whore themselves out.”
THERE ARE SOME, Don’t act like you haven’t seen them.

  81. Bekka says:

That’s not really fair. There’s a good section of girls who actually play because they want to.

  82. Nerea says:

Half of this is kinda fake… I’m a girl and I play WoW ’cause I want to and I totally admit that I’m a girl on it…

  83. Mari says:

It’s untrue imo.. I’m a woman and I play WoW more than lots of guys would and absolutely admit to being a woman, lmao.

’tis the most epic MMORPG in history. x)

  84. Aqp says:

I’d fit nicely in the blue section.

  85. Memebaser says:

I don’t play WoW, but I guess if I ever played, most people would think I’m a guy, when it’s just that I sound like one over microphones and such. That would suck and win at the same time.
