  1. Ripley says:

Forgot about the one sitting directly in front of you in the theater.

  2. The Anti Villain says:

or hiding in front of you to pop out an kill you

    • fish eye no miko says:

One option should be, “Right off screen, where a person could normally could see him, but since the camera can’t, the character can’t either.”
Seriously, there are so many horror films where the monster pops up from just off screen, and you’re thinking, “Wait, how did she NOT see him there?”

  3. Pogonip says:

In the basement. Right after one character says to the other, “Let’s split up, you search the basement and I’ll search the attic.”

    • ClickClick says:

In the basement. Under the staircase.
      (First place I always look!)
(OMG! That’s the first time I’ve said First on GraphJam!)

    • Been There says:

The monster (or the psychopathic killer or te enraged drug cartel boss or the sado-masochistic hitman, etc) is always a few meters behind the woman who is running through the woods wearing high heeled shoes, and of course she stumbles and falls. Its always a great commercial of why not to wear high-helled shoes…not only do they hurt your feet and make you clumsy, they prevent effective escapes from bringers of mayhem and doom!

      • Been There says:

Started to correct to “high-heeled,” but I find “high-helled” is just as accurate a description for those shoes.

      • Anna says:

What I never get is why they don’t just fling them off, if they have no straps. It really isn’t that hard, and greatly reduces the risk of breaking your ankle.

  4. Lawl says:

Pretty much everywhere the watcher expects them to be, but the moron character doesn’t.

  5. docstar says:

your graph is poorly proportioned, it therefor fails.

  6. ella says:

    what about the closet?

  7. rudemechanicaloz says:

If this had been titled ” Where the alien is… etc”, it has all the information it needs.

  8. ClickClick says:

Deep in the old well, where the townfolks all said not to look into.

  9. g_dogg says:

It’s odd that 50% comes 3/5 of the way up the graph here and that there’s apparently the same size difference between 0 and 5 as there is between 20 and 50. Maybe rules should be brought so that only people who finished school can make graphs?

  10. Max Chaplin says:

Most overused: in front of you, right after you look back and about to turn forward again.

  11. Curmudgeon says:

    Outside “her” bedroom window.

  12. Shoopoftheday says:

    also right around the corner.

  13. juva says:

So…did anyone just check behind themselves expecting a creepy monster to be there? :-)

  14. Lancer says:

What’s this??? Hello! It’s a bar graph that DOESN’T fail with percentage totals!!! It’s a MIRACLE!!!

  15. Amy says:

or inside of you, waiting to burst out
like in that Freddy krueger movie, he ripped that guy open from the inside
