  1. Dex says:

True except for the fact that it’s a massive stereotype. I’m 16 and think I’m average.

  2. ddemeo says:

    I don’t know any 1- to 4-year-olds that think they’re scum.

  3. Bram says:

    I think you meant “perception”…

  4. Nay says:

And 1-4 year olds think that they’re king of the world.

  5. jzimbert says:

What 1-4 year olds are these? I think they’d tend to see themselves as the center of the universe.

    • jjmblue7 says:

Seeing as that’s the way their brains are hardwired (to think through themselevs and their own experiences only), it makes sense.

  6. Chorkie says:

“Disrespected”? That word doesn’t work there.

  7. ... says:

I’ve only known a handful of 100+ year olds (obviously there aren’t that many around), and they did not fit this graph.

    I don’t get it.

  8. tanpopo says:

You kidding? The 1-4 set think they are not just kings, but GODS!

  9. Sean says:

The idea of a self-loathing two-year-old is actually sort of funny.

This is the song, la la la la, emo song…

  10. Gustav says:

How do you exactly conceive yourself, anyway?

  11. potatman says:

    Worst graph EVER.

  12. fleakfragfry says:

Completely backwards. Little kids always think they’re cool, until you hit about 10 or 11, then you think you’re totally lame, etc.

  13. tex says:

    roflcopter @ “conception”

  14. Saucy Intruder says:

“Themself” is not a word, has never been a word, and never will be a word.

    • fly on wall says:

OH GOD, NO! Don’t jinx it! it’s that “never will be a word” attitude that let “irregardless” into the dictionary!

i really appreciate everyone chipping in to preserve the language…and the reputations of the elderly. damn kids, thinking they’re all that (said the not-yet 18-yr-old)

      • risskia says:

        Irregardless is in the DICTIONARY?

I just threw up in my mouth…a little.

        • frankenshake says:

          As did I.

Rednecks need to stop editing our dictionaries. I will never let “themself” be a word. Common sense should rule over *something*.

  15. Jackson says:

What the hell this was my worst graph and it made the front page?

  16. LOL says:

This is probably the worst graph on GraphJam. The word should be “perception” not “conception.” I have no idea how you would go about conceiving yourself, but if someone figures it out they definitely deserve a Nobel Prize.

    • Kurt says:

Like they would share their secrets. If someone could conceive themselves, then they probably did.
And then I would kill them before they were supposed to go back in time and the universe would explode.

  17. Ruth says:

Except most 1-4 year olds think the world revolves around them. They certainly don’t think they’re scum. They think they’re kings/queens of the universe.

  18. Syllable Nazi says:

    Worst graph….ever!

And seriously, you can’t separate disrespected where it is split.

  19. TDG FAN says:

I’m 15 and I know that I’m lower then scum. Put that in you chart

  20. THIS guy says:

obviously “conceived” by a young and inexperienced person. any parent knows that the 1-4 year old group ARE the kings/queens of the world… and by middle age; WE own the cool cars and the cool toys and “cool” doesn’t matter when looking at your teenagers’ punk friends!

  21. LOLWHUT says:

    how about “perception”?

  22. Adeline says:

Am I the only one here that seems to see the Titanic reference/joke in this?

    Yes?

    Okay…

    • Queenoftheworld? says:

Adeline, thank you for pointing out the one redeeming quality in this graph. I think the sloppiness of it rendered the punchline irrelevant, but if that was the intention, it’s a pretty clever joke. Unfortunately, the horrible execution slaughtered any glimpse of a laugh.

    • onlinenow says:

When did titanic come out, 1999? I can’t believe ANYONE would follow a reference from a 2 cassette VCR movie that was about 4 hours long.

Congrats for noticing what I missed while I was too bothered by the overall graph, apparently you fit into your age category however.

  23. Christina says:

    i’d like to see someone’s self-conception…

  24. Sebular says:

If the graph started at 16 and said perception instead of conception it’d be lolz.

  25. Sebular says:

But conception does actually apply here fine.
    Conception
    2. a. The ability to form or understand mental concepts and abstractions.
    b. Something conceived in the mind; a concept, plan, design, idea, or thought.

  26. slupine says:

Whoever made this graph, to think 80-somethings don’t think they’re better than you/king of the world, has obviously never met my grandfather.

  27. bridget says:

send this graph over the the fail blog.

    • papajon says:

Seriously. This graph is gaffe-tastic. My 6 year old thinks he has god-like powers over all he surveys. All people are different; This graph clearly doesn’t represent anything close to reality not to mention the lack of funny.

  28. Wolftail says:

    I’m 13 and I think I’m scum. ._. You were waaaay off.

  29. rawreh says:

    this fails hard…conception
apparently spell check doesn’t catch every mistake
    common sense helps too huh?
damn 13 year olds trying to act smart on the internet…

  30. Jon says:

Why would kids think of themselves as scum? Where are all these emo babies coming from?

  31. Awesome_Guy says:

I’m 13 and I’m the king of the world, so this graph fails.
