  1. Third Reighn says:

    EARTH!

  2. SP33D15 says:

Omg Earth Fire Wind Water and Heart!

  3. dude says:

PETA’s not an environmental group; they are an animal rights group. Some of its positions, such as opposing the removal of invasive species, are actively detrimental to the environment.

    • Jefoid says:

Many of their positions are actively detrimental to animal rights as well. (For example their preference for euthanasia over the horrible indignity of being a human’s pet.)

      • faunablues says:

They do not support euthanasia for all domesticated animals as an alternative to just being a pet. They euthanize animals who have terminal conditions, just like veterinarians do.
If they were opposed to humans having pets, why do they promote adoption?

    • RJ says:

And I thought animals were part of the environment my whole life. Boy, am I stupid.

    • More importantly... says:

They should also get better “coolness rating”. I don’t know much about them – I don’t even know if they have any activity in my country and I do eat meat.

However, I’ve understood that they protest against using furs by having beautiful young women walk on the streets with little or no clothing. How in hell does that not get a better coolness factor??

      • Anon says:

Because these same women are seen later in fur.

      • Faetal says:

they’re the same group that attacks people who do choose to wear fur/leather…

they’re worse than abortion clinic bombers, at least those lunatics have religion to blame for their crazy

      • Chibihotaru says:

        You should do some research.

How about this… They support known terrorist? Their hate campaigns regularly target children? The celebrity spokespersons they use don’t practice what they preach?

    • roxie says:

im sure that no one really cares what the PETA really is. and you don’t need to go around telling people that their opinion is wrong.

  4. Drake says:

I like how the y-axis is so accurately labeled- “y-axis”, just to alleviate any potential confusion.

  5. porka says:

I always thought Mati, who has the power of heart, was somekind of überlame.

    • Jane St.Clair says:

Yeah, like the kid brother their mom made them take with them on all their adventures. I liked the guy who had fire, but he almost never got to use it.

      • ladykitteh says:

Yeah, the Power of heart really doesn’t belong in it because the other four are natural elements, but I guess the makers felt they needed one power for each continent or something. It was quite typical how of course (the kid from) North America had the power of fire, now that you think of it…

        • Wut says:

But then wouldn’t there have been seven people who were apart of the team (thereby making even lamer representations)?
Antarctica would’ve been represented by a penguin.

          • ladykitteh says:

Theretically, yes. Why don’t you train an Antarctican penguin to shout something like “Mind!” while lifting its wing to activate the ring you somehow attached to it, and then go to the creators to propose a remake ;)

  6. Avashnea says:

NONE of these groups are cool at all, except Captain Planet!
The others are all terrorist groups.

    • Wowzers says:

The bar for People Eating Tasty Animals (or Pathetic Egotistical Tyrants for Animals or whatever you want to call them) should dip way below the x-axis!

  7. Taylor says:

The Sea Shepherds are the all-time coolest activist group ever! They have their own REAL television show!

  8. Sway says:

Well, PETA sucks, I will agree on that one.

  9. Alex says:

So the defining difference between cool environmental groups and uncool ones, is that cool ones are on television shows and uncool ones aren’t *facepalm*

    • Gretgor says:

No. Cool ones go up and do some cool action, while uncool ones are boring, lame and keep trying to convince you to do stupid stuff such as stop eating animals and s**t.

  10. KartoonNotWerk says:

    They’re all losers…

  11. Seddah says:

By your powers combined, I am better than PETA.

  12. FlonkertonChamp says:

i’m a vegan… and i still say that PETA needs to stfu!

  13. Rontu says:

    What about the WWF?

  14. penguin_man says:

As long as my blood is the last to stay standing, I could care less about the environment or those weaker creatures.

  15. CathyLong says:

    1. PETA sponsors and supports terrorists who blow up animal testing sites (many of which go to benefit ANIMALS, not just humans). Fact: on avergae, 99% of animal testing is done on RATS specifically bred to be tested on. Get over it PETA. No one cares how much you make up.

    2. Whale Wars guys are terrorists and criminals. They are actually wanted internationally and FAKED and STAGED much of what you see on thier b.s. show. For example, they PRETENDED to be held hostage after going on some fishing company’s boat and attcking them for doing nothing more than their job. Typical middle-class white morons. Think they know what’s “best” for everyone else in the world.

    • Brady says:

You are all too right, Cathy. PETA doesn’t have a clue about modern animal tests, and the creator of Whale Wars is an infamous media manipulator.

That show is almost too irritating to watch. The Sea Shepherds smugly narrate their every observation of other ships to mark them as murderers, vandals, cowards et cetera. They harass and assault other ships to until they can get an aggressive response, then act completely surprised when the other side fights back. The SS can be warned repeatedly about retaliation w/ flashbangs, put in earplugs and shades, and still pretend they knew nothing about how and why the other ship is attacking.

They’ll describe every bang, pop and piece of flying debris as “gunfire” intent in killing them; which is probably another lie since most of SS seem comfortable enough out in the open to stop what they’re doing play for the camera and narrate about how the mean whalers are picking on them.

    • faunablues says:

The ALF is not an “organization,” really, but a name given to several independent, small cells of individuals. The lack of any connection between the cells or leaders is why the FBI has a hard time cracking down on them and resorts to investigating common leafleters (and typically, if you’re breaking several laws to liberate animals, you probably won’t be leafleting/doing animal activism in the daytime). So, how is it that PETA can sponsor such a group if they have no headquarters or no leader? PETA receives anonymous pictures and video and publishes it. That also means that any news station who shows those types of videos are also “supporting” terrorists.
I really think there’s a double standard of what’s considered terrorism. An acquaintance of mine had his house raided on account of his leafleting (with an organization) against the LA Animal Services (for mismanaging their shelters, not doing more to limit euthanasia, etc). Yet I see videos of demonstrators in England breaking in windows and defacing banks in the name of the economy, and the news just describes them as “upset,” not terrorists. Is the fact that these acts are done in the name of money make them better than someone doing in it in the name of protecting animals?
Fact: PETA cares about rats just as much as other animals, so what does it matter if 99% of the animals used are rats? Notably, rats are one of the types of animals to whom no animal welfare restrictions apply. None. Is protesting against that really so bad? Additionally, at least for Europe, a little over 50% vertebrates used are mice, about a fifth are rats, a sixth amphibians/fish (using zebrafish is common), and the rest are other vertebrates. Saying something is “fact” doesn’t make it so :)

  16. ladykitteh says:

Umm… maybe because (generally speaking) whales are an ENDANGERED SPECIES? I don’t see a threat of cows, sheep or pigs becoming extinct anytime soon…

  17. Wutwut. says:

Imho it should be the Planeteers, not Captain Planet. One man cannot be a group!

  18. Matt says:

PeTA – Organization of fanatics that emphasize on not killing animals, yet they euthanize animals themselves (look at “giant freezer” in their tax returns) and don’t want pets.

Greenpeace – Bunch of hippies who have no idea what they’re talking about. They helped kill nearly a million people in Africa for convincing leaders of the nation to NOT accept food that could have grown and produced plentiful crops and fed nearly, if not all the population of the country. These are the same people who claim that plants are Genetically Engineered with Animal Genes, which they don’t, and cannot do legally, and claim that GE foods go under no regulation by the FDA/USDA while they’re in fact the most regulated foods on the market.

Modern hippies. They never do research and follow whatever “Sister Sue with the Pot” tells them is good.

  19. Nick says:

Where does the Sierra Club fall on this scale?

  20. jl5691426 says:

  23. gunner44 says:

  24. Everbond Venvel says:
