So true…..
it is indeed… lol
also, his distance judgment is pretty good, eh
Being true doesn’t make it funny.
yes it does.
uhm, yes it does.
it’s only funny when it is true.
mkgo. argueargueargue.
Next column over to the right oughta be— Jewish mothers!
No. Fail.
Hurray for sexism!
Not if it’s true!
So youre saying youve done a thorough experiment to test this? Are you absolutely positive this is true. That girls are always that much more far off than men in estimating the distance between two cars? And that its because of their gender and not some other factor?
Its sexist. and your comment reveals you’re sexist.
But men are genetically superior to women. It’s a proven fact.
“proven”…
It’s not. Trust me. Although men do tend to OVERestimate the distance.
Actually it’s not sexist, it’s a biological difference. Men have better depth perception while women see colors brighter.
Fewer women are in accidents then men. Its proven that a greater following distance decreases accidents. I don’t see the need to run experiments, when logic will suffice.
Hes not sexist, you’re an idiot.
What does accidents have to do with this? Guys like to do crazy crap in cars that why we have more accidents. Women do over-eaggerate it happpens. No matter what it is. Espicailly mothers
Hmmm do you know the difference between correlation and cause? And I’m the idiot? You’re obviously not a science major because any LOGICAL scientist would say accept nothing until its proven. Relying on correlation over direct cause, oh yes, you’re very logical.
why is he a idiot ?
Yes. This. Exactly this. But i’d interchange “female passenger” and “male passenger” columns.
i agree. whoever made this must think women are stupid or something…? but other then that it is accurate!
No. Women tend to be more cautious and, therefore, more apt to judge the safety in certain situations as being lacking.
Men tend to get lengths wrong when it comes to certain things…
win
That was dumb… If you’re a woman then you just proved that you are stupid!! You said “You must think women are stupid or something”, then you said “Other THEN that it is accurate!” You should have said other THAN that… Think before you speak.
And you just proved you have no life.
Seconded
Actually, it should probably be “passenger of the same sex” and “passenger of the opposite sex”
Because, as the comments reveal, neither sex thinks the other can drive.
So I guess his mom is not a female?
Herm?
And yours is?
Well, it could be that his mom is never a passenger.
I reacted to the same thing when I first saw the graph, though.
seems we’re in the same boat
Goddamn right.
So true, but i normally get, “ur going too fast, slow down” and im actually doing 30 or bit less in a 30mph zone!! lol
Sounds like you hear that in places other than the car as well…
What about the stupid comment on the bumper sticker? Those always seem to thing you’re RIGHT THERE!
I think there should be a category that over estimates the space…
Would have been funny if not for the sexism.
It is only a problem if you make it one.
Can you say sexism
It wouldn’t be sexist if it is based off of the experience of the person who made the graph. Technically, it could be perfectly accurate for the creator, where as it would be completely different if someone else made it.
It isn’t sexist. It is only sexist because you see it that way.
For me this would be opposite. My mom is a maniac driver and I tend to yell at her, while I keep overly-cautious distances.
dude, the male column should be larger than the actual distance.
that would mean they are tailgating the person in front of them but still think they have plenty of space.
FAIL
Yes, this! There should be a ‘driver’ category on the left side, an ‘actual distance’ in the middle and ‘my mom’ on the right side.
Lies! All lies! Obviously, part of a diabolical conspiracy to undermine the influence of mothers!
Soooooooo … if the ‘male’ and ‘female’ columns were switched, could I whine about sexism like you all do?
LoLZ t3h wimminz are bad drivers! They shud b bakin pies insted.
No wonder you haven’t been laid…
I’m the Mom referred to in the graph and I thought it was hilarious!
All you “sexist” creatures….get over yourselves!
This needs an additional bar for “guy in the next lane who wants to get in front of me.” Of course it’d be at something like 75 feet.
Men have demonstrably better depth perception than women, on the whole. (Individual cases will, of course, vary significantly.)
omg…i didn’t know i had a long lost brother/sister!
i HATE my mother riding with me!
