My alarm clock is barely audible. It is the sound of a boat horn, but it’s almost at the minimum setting. When I had a louder alarm, I often didn’t have time to wake-up before pressing a button. And sometimes I turned the alarm off instead of snoozing without even waking up. Now I don’t have the same urge to make it stop. I know it’s that sound that should wake me up (and it’s now an irritating sound when I hear it during the day), but it’s not so loud that I have the reflex to turn it off.

I usually work weird shifts (4pm – midnight or 4am to noon anyone?) so the “if it’s light you should be here” thing wouldn’t work for my boss… I’m almost never late though so it doesn’t matter.
