A “chart” can also be a map. It’s sort of mapping out where the pie in the fridge in.
You weren’t listening when Caghs was explaining what a chart is, I suppose. It’s charting where in the fridge the pie is.
And also, yes, it is sad that someone has to explain it.

Definitions of “Chart”:
make a chart of; “chart the territory” <—-
plan in detail; “Bush is charting a course to destroy Saddam Hussein”
a visual display of information <—-
graph: represent by means of a graph; “chart the data”
a map designed to assist navigation by air or sea <—-

It’s a “chart” because it’s a map to help you navigate to the Pie.

And when it is explained, it stops being funny.

“Pun” is a play on words. A chart isn’t necessarily a graph, it can be a record of occurances, a record of statistics, or … a record of supplies.

Pie Chart = pun of “charting the pies”.

So sad that I had to explain that.
