I had crutches once (athletic-related injury), and I swear my friends spent more time messing around on them (they apparently make good stilts turned upside-down) than I did using them to walk around.
You’re forgetting the non-injury causes, such as degenerative bone conditions and amputations, etc …
… but that aside, how true this is
