  2. bspinky says:

  3. Tiffany says:

    Sadly, its true….
Oh, I think you made a mistake, the red should be nearly invisible.

  4. 7r0113rz says:

congratulations on taking a joke from every open mic night at every crappy comedy club in the US and making a simple and unfunny graf from it

  5. Erica says:

You forgot commercials. At least 70%. It’s staggering.

    • scott says:

One could watch Beavis and Butthead back in the day, and once commercials came on, you could take a shower, and by the time you are done with it, you wouldnt have missed a thing

      • Adeline says:

Or one could shower while Beavis and Butthead was playing and still not have missed a thing.

      • catgirl says:

Yeah, I used to watch a few shows on MTV, like Daria. If the show was on at the same time as another show I liked, there wasn’t much of a problem because I could switch to the other show during commercial breaks and catch most of it. I also used to get a lot of laundry and other chores done during MTV commercial breaks. Too bad I don’t like any of the current shows or my apartment would be a lot cleaner.

  6. Joseph says:

To quote one of my favorite bands, Dream Theater: “A daily dose of eMpTyV will flush your mind right down the drain.”

    • DRock says:

Absolutely. (Hell yea on the DT, btw)
I think they should legally have to take the word “Music” out of their name. It’s just TV now…

  7. Poop says:

OMG A PIE CHART WITH ONE REALLY BIG SLICE AND ONE REALLY SMALL SLICE?

    LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

MAN, WHERE DO PEOPLE COME UP WITH THIS STUFF?

    LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

  8. Joey says:

    Old news.
    fgt.

  9. Kortaka says:

I am sad that I wasn’t even around when MTV played music videos. I’ll probably never, ever see one on TV.

  10. Two Sides says:

No really? This is news to me!

    (I’m lyring)

  11. forge says:

Psch, where the hell YOU been? MTV hasn’t played ANY music since the mid-1990s.

  12. modin says:

That should actually say “music”, with quotes!

  13. timmis says:

the word Music should be in quotes too.

  14. Fishstick says:

Oh god, that is so true.

And sadly, the only music that gets played is heavy Gangsta Rap.

  15. Bee says:

It must have been over 10 years since I actually watched MTV for the cool vids they’d show. Nowadays I’m surprised when they actually show music vids that are remotely worth listening to. Only 1 hour a week is worth watching (rock/metal vids), the rest sucks.

  16. Cevian says:

Don’t Forget the College Humor Show.

I mean seriously… A website whose best content is from other people gets a TV show? Come on…

  17. devilwoman says:

even if they did start playing videos again, its too late. waaay too late. mtv is dead.

  18. Lost Artist says:

How many times have we seen this graph?

  19. Sally says:

There should be quote marks around “Music,” too…

  20. Calculate900 says:

    America’s Next Top Model

  21. Rob says:

    AMEN!!

I stopped watching MTV years ago, because of this.

MTV was the first cable channel to do this (earn a rep for providing a specialized service, then, once popular and carried on every cable system, throw a whole pile of other junk on the channel).
Now we have “Weather” channels with Readers’ Digest-style dramas and stock-market news, “learning” channels with home fashion shows, “Vintage TV” channels with tired six-year-old movies, ad infinitum.

  22. Wex says:

    so true… really really true

  23. Cam says:

    lulz, so true!

  24. Crazy_Sharky says:

music should be quoted 2 >_>
