I dont watch lost for a reason

I quit Lost because no, I didn’t have the patience to wait 5 seasons for things to get explained. And that’s not a sign that my character is lacking, it’s a sign that I have more important things to do than wait for a few explanations on a TV show. And this graph actually does make sense. It’s not saying that those things happen 100% of the time, it’s saying that there is a 100% chance of them happening, and a 0% chance of things getting explained

True. I missed the first seasons of this show, and I don’t even get half of what they’re talking about. And I have someone explaining it to me who is a big fan of the show. But honestly, if I wanted some fantasy BS then I’d watch the SciFi Channel. At least they accept they suck. This show is so sanctimonious it makes me crazy.

The Exec. Producers have already said they know precisely how it ends, that they’re telling a story with a definite ending. They even know what the camera shot should look like.

Just because they plan on ending next season does not mean they have ideas to go in between now and then. Like telling us about the french people for 30 minutes when we already knew what happened to them.

I would bet they dont even know how the story will end yet.

We’re currently up to the 5th… all questions will get answered… you need to watch to find them… Have some patience…

I love the show, because stuff actually happens! It’s not sitting around watching subplots float by…

I think lost is one of the most important TV shows since Babylon 5, in terms of complexity, continuing plot lines, involving the user, creating it’s own cult PLUS well done dialogue, acting and overall superior production values.

I totally agree. Heroes leaves me wanting, like being given a small sweet candy bar for dinner.
When I watch Lost, though, it’s like the most important thing in the world(!).
Lost is awesome and totally rocks.

It is entertaining. There are moments of catharsis periodically even if the show doesn’t go from zero back to zero in every single arc. Would you complain about the Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, or any other book series because it takes more than one volume to complete the story?

“Keeping it going” is not possibly a motivation for the creators. It’s already been determined that next year’s season will complete the story, so it stands to reason that the number of episodes remaining is the number it takes to tell the story; in other words, if they just wanted to keep making the show ad infinitum, they could do more.

I watch both Heroes and Lost, and Lost definitely has better writing (though I enjoy both). So it takes them six seasons to explain everything; that’s part of the thrill of it. For Heroes it seems like they write each episode separately with no thought for the big picture.

The fact that it takes FIVE SEASONS to explain anything is exactly why my family and I (except my sister) stopped watching Lost after season 2. It was way too confusing. Give us Heroes any day, where you actually know what the crap is going on.

It is an entertaining show, but in the last 2-3 episodes absolutely nothing has happened. It almost seems they are trying to keep it going to keep getting that $$$$.

This graph looks like it was done by someone who’s favourite show is spongebob squarepants. i understand it would be hard to understand a tv show like lost. Because you have to think and relate things. And if you can’t make a simple graph you can’t think.

If you have to sit patiently through 4 seasons of a show, it is not worth it. It’s suppose to be entertaining.
It’s not entertaining to get nothing but cliff hangers for four seasons.

Lost = overrated and boring.

I disagree – I think season 3 answered the most questions. Season 5 is dragging. …..but yes, the show does take patience to watch.

They do explain things and they will continue to explain things. Lost is a good show because it is unpredictable and it makes you think in order to analyze for connections. Watching Lost is fun because it allows for theory discussion outside the show, in addition to the superb acting, visuals, and story plotlines.

Anyone who says the writing is lazy is lazy themselves.

And to comment on the graph, it’s very poorly made and not thought out.

If you stopped watching before this season, I can understand why y’all would think this. But season 5 has started to answer a lot more questions than it asks. If you don’t have the patience to see a season 1 setup get paid off in season 5, you probably wouldn’t like Lost.

Stick with “Suite Life with Zach and Cody”.

So many things wrong with this graph. None of those things happen 100% of the time. And the last category should be “Something is explained.” This is just completely lacking in creativity.
