I generally try to keep my phone away from toilets.
If you’re talking on the phone while near a toilet, then you deserve everything that happens to you!
Ya, you more deserve it if you are talking while on the toilet.
Or, you had certain photos or videos on your phone, so you ripped it in great anticipation out and accidentally threw it on the ground
Nobody does it intentionally, but the classic tale is you’re sitting in a stall, and first you hear a “plop” from the next stall over, followed by “AH F&%*!!!” What happens is that your phone is on your belt, or in your pocket, and as you stand up and lift your pants to put them back on, the phone works loose and down it goes.
So I totally believe the rationale behind the largest slice.

Agree w/Destin…no talking on the john, thanks. We had a boss who would take the cordless phone to the toilet with him and always wondered if the person on the other end knew. Or did he mute it when he flushed. Either way, ewww….
I dropped my phone while boarding my ship once
Ouch.
A person in India dropped it on the railway tracks while standing on the platform – jumped to get it back and was run over by the train.
Happened to me once with my army-commissioned cell -
I was court-martialled for it.
Well yea, the army doesn’t want you jumping in front of trains…on your time off…

Is making a graph about it cathartic perhaps? Is it like saying “My bad” after doing something stupid and then all is universally forgiven?

I’m just boggling at the cat box one.
I’ve dropped my mp3 player in the toilet once. It screamed.
I’d have to devote a largish slice to “Dropping it into the giant bucket of waiting-to-be-neutralized-nitric acid and mercury waste.” No lie, I’ve killed two phones that way.
What about dropping it into a bucket of hot soapy water and disinfectant? Ask me how I thought of that.

This graph inaccurately excludes “in the tub while I’m struggling to open the bubbles for my toddler while talking to my husband who’s in Afghanistan”. On second thought, that could only possibly happen to me lol.
This happens so commonly with hospital bleeps (and yes, it’s cos they fall out of your pocket/off your belt at an inopportune moment) that the solution is given in my junior doctor’s handbook – rinse it off under the tap, then take it to switchboard and tell them you dropped it in your drink.
