  1. Matt says:

I’m assuming that’s supposed to read “barely clothed.”
“Barely naked” is sill naked, and thus only appears on a certain category of “Men’s Magazines.”

  2. BrotherLove says:

This graph also neglects the crucial “Dudes with pecs and abs that guys with real jobs can only dream about” fitness market segment.

Not that I’m pessimistic about my chances of getting in shape or anything.

  3. Justin says:

Is “Barely Naked” like a “Near Miss?”

    • Logician says:

You’ve all got it wrong! Bare is a synonym for naked and the author was going for redundancy.

“That girl’s not just naked, she’s BAREly naked.”

    • Sam says:

      i love george carlin

      “it’s not a near miss…it’s a near hit…when they crash is a near miss
look at those planes…*BOOM*…oh they nearly missed”

  4. brewski says:

Fail. Would work better as a Venn diagram – women on motorcycles with a cool car in the background, or on the hood of a cool car with a motorcycle nearby.

  5. Mark says:

    Yeah, and your point is…?

  6. black guy in your chardonnay says:

    Graphjam used to be funny.

    • Junkyard says:

      Yeah, I remember that.

    • OP says:

As the OP, I meekly submit to your excoriation. I can only say in my defence that I merely submitted the above graph as a kneejerk response to the similar graph about women’s magazines, and was rather expecting that, as per the busier Cheezburger and Politics, it would be tidied up a little and generally enhumourised by enthusiastic graph lovers everywhere. Instead, they have such a paucity of material they post it directly to the blog.

As for “barely naked”, in my defence, it is common (if illogical) British English. Apologies for the internationalisation fail.
