  1. Gio says:

I do love that the maximum number of Phillies fans is 80.

  2. Andy Grey says:

It would be funnier if it were true. The Phillies were 5th in attendance for the entire year. 4th in percentage of capacity. We all know the rest of the country, we Phillies fans had, but there’s been a ton of us all year. What a fantastic team and a fantastic fan base.

    • DevoutValor says:

wrong. Phillies fan base is only in philly. you will only find a lone brain damage phillies fan elsewhere, like redsox fans before they won…
if Tampa would of won, they whole nation would of forgotten about the Sox and “Renounced Satan like the Tampa Rays”(SC) did. (formally known as the Devil Rays)

  3. Chad says:

Wouldn’t this graph be better had you, Nathan, used the Rays instead of the Phillies?

    Nathan = Fail

PS – What do the numbers even mean? 80 people? 80 million people? 80% of people who enjoy a nice steak dinner? wtf

  4. Alaina says:

Is there a graph for girlfriends who only like sports according to who their boy toy likes.. Feel free to make that one

    GO USC woot!

  5. Phizzle says:

Although the actual number of fans is [possibly] a mistake, I still call this a win. All of those bandwagon Red Sox fans hated the Rays, all the fans tired of the “worst to first” coverage hated the Rays, and most of the long-time fans of baseball in general rooted for the Phillies as a classic team. But to point out the truthiness of this graph, you could go to any club and see all the dudes wearing crispy designer Phillies hats so clean and crispy, the receipts were probably still in their pockets.

p.s. Chad it clearly says “Number of Phillie fans” so I’m not sure why you’re confused.

    • MaxwellEdison says:

Don’t judge me by my crisp Phils lid. I bought it on the cold windy game in may when Werth had his 3 HRs and 8 RBI. Horrible, ugly day, but a beautiful game.

  6. LHLD says:

uhm. it’s phillies. unless you’re talking the city, in which case it’s philly. the proper name of the team is the philadelphia phillies – you wouldn’t say “ray fans” you’d say “rays’ fans,” not “giant fans” but “giants’ fans” etc.
but there will always be bandwagon-jumpers. and hey, for a city that hadn’t had a championship win in 25+ years (and by the look of the eagles’ ratings, wouldn’t for quite a few more), i’d say they took it surprisingly well. not as much rioting as expected.

  7. Richard says:

I have never seen so many snobs than I do in grahjam comments. I don’t understand it….and I’ve been posting at a movie message board for years. It’s really sad.

  8. Kornman says:

For reals, all y’all: taking graphjam as serious statistical data FAIL! btw, I think a line graph would have been more appropriate in this case.

  9. Phan says:

Shut up or I will throw a battery at you while I boo Santa.

  10. Dave says:

Maybe the chart would be better if it had started in 2004. CBP might as well have been Shea Stadium south until 2007…

  11. Spelled with an F says:

Accusing a city of supporting a team more when they are winning? Yeah thats unique to Philadelphia. Oh Wait…

How many patriots fans were there a decade ago?
How many bulls fans are there now?
    Penguins selling out pre-Crosby?

    Thought so.

  12. THE TRUTH says:

Philadelphia’s greatest sports champion = Rocky Balboa

EPIC FAIL OF THE LARGEST PROPORTIONS

  13. Michael Jack Schmidt says:

Is that graph giving me the finger?

  14. Aidan says:

GO PHILLIES I LIKED THEM EVER SINCE I CAN REMEMBER
DONT BE DRINKIN HATORADE ON US CAUSE U DIDNT WIN

  15. Sean says:

This graph could also apply to the 2007 Rockies. Two weeks later no one cared.

  16. poop says:

    I LIKE FECES

  17. broseidon says:

    FIRST!

  18. Emma says:

Uhh.. The Phillies have the most supportive fans, best fans, and most violent fans from 2006-2010 (voted by judges) and their are loads and loads of them so this graph is FALSE
