  1. Operational says:

What if they dance and sleep with your girlfriend?

    >.>
    <.<

    ;(

  2. Jono says:

I was totally expecting that graph from reading the title.

  3. Craig says:

S-A-F-E-T-Y… Dance. Damn you. Now I will have that infernal song stuck in my head all damned day! lol ;)

  4. CW says:

That’s the first one I’ve laughed out loud at in a while.

  5. ngthagg says:

Yep. This is the reason I started visiting this site in the first place.

    Very clever.

    • Braeduin says:

Me too, I though graph jam was to make graphs out of song lyrics. Good to see one every now and again. Thanks to whoever posted it!

      • Ryan says:

If you look at the tag line under “Graph Jam” at the top, it states, “Music & culture for people who love charts.” So, no, this site isn’t all about music. And, while some do stray from even the culture part, there are graphs about things other than music that are funny and/or clever.

  6. ClickClick says:

So cool! I bet there’s clog dancers in that video.

  7. RS says:

I know the song has funny lyrics, but to my knowledge this is the third graph here based on the Safety Dance.
    Please find new material!

  8. Shance says:

Awesome! We need more of these and less, Murphy’s Law graphs

    • Yee says:

      Agreed.
Although for the key, it would have been nice to have something simpler like “they don’t dance” rather than straight-up lyrics.
Still, very funny, especially compared to the nonsense that has been popping up lately.

      • Mrs_Z says:

Naw, it’s the straight-up lyric that makes it funny. Otherwise it would sound just like a… a, uh… oh! Like a graph.

  9. emily says:

This is also a very true graph. It’s a totally acceptable reason to leave your friends behind… =)

  10. Chels says:

i’m pretty sure someone already used that joke on this site. but it’s still funny.

  11. Luis says:

Heck yes, you better be able to dance. You can always get another girlfriend.

  12. Stephy says:

Haha, first graph to make me lol in a looooong time!
    (y)

  13. Cow says:

    v_V Too wordy over there.

Maybe if the entire lyrics to the song weren’t posted, it’d of been better.

    • M says:

The point of the wording is to force you to begin to sing the song. Thus, when the next sentence is read and your brain is interrupted by the more serious remark, laughter ensues.

Also as a note “it’d of been better” makes no sense. What you meant to say was “it’d have been better”.

  14. Cow says:

    v_V Too wordy over there.

Maybe if the entire lyrics to the song weren’t posted, it’d of been better.

  15. flamekiller says:

You know, that dance isn’t as safe as they say it is.

  16. Sonia says:

    I love you.
