Yes, but it doesn’t usually result in a prison sentence and there’s a longstanding principal of UK law (since the Rolling Stones case in the late 60s, I believe) that famous people shouldn’t get harsher treatment in sentencing just because they’re famous.

I’ll admit I haven’t heard much of Amy Winehouse’s music, but I haven’t been that impressed by what I have heard. And Coldplay doesn’t even inspire enough passion to make me hate them.
Lately it seems the bar for “amazing talent” has gotten very low, although I’m sure a lot of it has to do with the music industry’s fast-buck mentality.
