It’d work better as a pie chart. There’s only two elements, and they sum to 100.
They don’t necessarily have to sum to 100. You can also read it as two separate possibilities that have their own inherent probability. So, there’s only a 4 percent chance that it will stick to a food container — what it’s supposed to stick to — if it’s presented with one. However, given the opportunity, it will stick to itself 100 percent of the time. They’re not mutually exclusive: who hasn’t zipped out a fresh piece of plastic wrap, only to have it immediately assume the plastic-wrap fetal position and stick for dear life — then spent the next 5 minutes wrestling with it, and by the time you get it onto the food container it’s lost all its cling?
This information could be presented a bunch of different ways, but I think this one works too!
“plastic-wrap fetal position” is one of the funniest phrases we have ever laid eyes on! What an apt description! We love this graph and were only disappointed in the fact that we could not give it any higher rating than a 5. This graph’s hilarity is beautiful because it universal in its humor. There are many graphs on this website that are funny only if you know the song, or work in the situation it refers to (ie. an office, or in an IT department) or have children or pets. I imagine there is a much higher percentage of the general population that can fundamentally relate to this graph and its representative frustration, than is typically found in most of the other graphs posted.

But does it work better? Saran Wrap a brand name, it’s eponymous. Technically it’s called cling wrap or plastic wrap here. The second one is more accurate.
